Chapter 185 Everyone Loves My Daughter

Luke scooped Elsa up and carried her back to the room, flicking off the light for Vincent.

"Good night, Vincent."

After the whole kidnapping mess, Elsa and Luke saw Vincent in a new light. The guy wasn't just some naive kid; if it weren't for his messed-up body, he'd be a force to reckon with.

Unable to contain her thoughts, Elsa inadvertently revealed her true feelings as she recounted the story.

"Night, Luke." Vincent smiled, all calm now, and shut his eyes.

Back in their room, Luke laid Elsa on the bed and propped himself up next to her, eyes glued to her.

Elsa knew Luke was pissed and looked down, dodging his stare.

"Do you hate the Miller family that much? Ready to throw your life away?" Luke asked.

Elsa was quiet for a sec. "Yeah."

"Even with a brother, a husband, and friends, you'd still risk it all?"

Luke's serious look made Elsa feel like she'd lost.

"I'm sorry." She couldn't look him in the eye.

Her hatred for the Millers ran deep, and David's kidnapping only made her more determined to take them down. She didn't care what she lost, even if it meant going down with them.

Luke got Elsa's madness after all these months. Her reaction didn't shock him. But as long as he was around, he wouldn't let it happen.

"Elsa, as long as I'm breathing, you won't be in danger." Luke's words were firm.

Elsa now got Luke better. His words were his way of showing love.

Under the light, his angry eyes were kinda sweet.

Luke could've had a chill life, but she dragged him into her revenge. She felt bad about it.

"I'm sorry. I've caused you so much trouble." Elsa cupped Luke's face and kissed him.

Luke held her neck, going for her lips.

"Then let's have a daughter." He kissed her, unbuttoning her clothes.

He was dead serious!

Elsa felt uneasy. How could she be a good mom in her state?

"I won't be a good mom. I've got flaws. What if our baby's aloof and no one likes her?" Elsa pressed against Luke's chest, spilling her worries.

Maybe her guilty look softened Luke's heart.

"How could my daughter not be liked?" Luke said.

He had his doubts, but maybe Elsa's fearless nature would change if she became a mom. She'd think twice before putting herself in danger.

Of course, she might not change, but Luke was willing to give it a shot. Before Elsa could come up with another excuse, Luke kissed her ear, playing with her earlobe.

She shivered.

"I'm gonna take a shower."

Her usual escape.

"Love first, then shower."

"No!"

Luke blocked her lips before she could come up with another excuse.
