Chapter 316 Margaret's Seduction

Elsa always suspected that she was favored by the Gambling God; she had always been lucky when it came to gambling.

She could remember her cards, the cards on the table, and could even roughly calculate what the other three players had based on the cards they played.

When it came to cards Luke needed, she would rather hold onto them than play them. But if George needed a card, she would break up her own sets to give it to him.

After one round, not only did she not win, but she also messed up Luke's sure-win hand. How could Luke not notice?

Luke's teeth itched with frustration. Looking at Elsa's small hand holding the cards, he just wanted to bite it to vent his anger.

In a game with stakes of one or two thousand dollars, after four rounds, George won, Karida broke even, and both Luke and Elsa transferred twenty thousand dollars each to George.

"Elsa, you're not Mrs. Taylor anymore. Doesn't it hurt to lose so much?" George joked as he happily collected his winnings.

"No worries, I sold some bags recently and made over a million dollars," Elsa said nonchalantly, poking at Margaret's sore spot and watching with satisfaction as her pretty face turned red.

George, being older, hadn't taken a nap before coming to play cards. After two or three hours, he was struggling to keep his eyes open.

"Margaret, have you learned? If you have, come and take over for me," George asked, yawning.

Margaret had been sitting next to Luke, watching him, and hadn't learned much at all.

Seeing George ask her, she had no choice but to say, "I've learned a bit."

"Then I'll go take a nap. Margaret, you take over," George said, getting up and leaving.

"Are we still playing?" Karida really didn't want to face Elsa, Luke, and Margaret.

"Of course, Ms. Collins, did you bring money?"

Margaret didn't want to play cards at all; she just wanted to be alone with Luke. But seeing that Luke had no intention of leaving, she reluctantly took George's place.

"Playing for small stakes is no fun. How about we start at ten thousand dollars?"

"Whatever you want," Luke said, looking at her sparkling eyes, his mind stirred.

What scheme was Elsa up to now?

Among the four of them, three were wealthy. Whether they started at a thousand dollars or ten thousand dollars made no difference to them. But Elsa, being a commoner, was determined to win.

As soon as George left, Elsa played fiercely, winning right from the start and stunning the other three.

"You're so good at this?" Karida was slightly surprised.

"If she wasn't, how could George have won so many times?" Luke said, unfazed.

"Enough talk, time to settle up," Elsa said, collecting money from each of them.

Luke thought she would take him off her blacklist, but to his surprise, Elsa directly used the bank to collect the money, leaving him frustrated again.

They played for another two hours, with Elsa targeting Margaret in every hand. In the end, she won over three hundred thousand dollars from her.

This amount wasn't much to Margaret, but being suppressed by Elsa in front of Luke and Karida was unbearable. By the end, she couldn't hide her displeasure.

"Thank you for your generosity, Ms. Collins," Elsa said, unable to hide her joy as she looked at the growing number in her bank account.

Luke frowned as he looked at Elsa's radiant eyes: Was she really this happy? He had never seen her like this, even when he bought her a building!

Come to think of it, if Elsa was so pleased to see Margaret suffer, did that mean she still cared about him?

After dinner, they returned to the hotel to rest. Margaret, while taking a bath, thought about the day's events and felt increasingly frustrated.

She had to truly win over Luke to defeat Elsa; otherwise, it was all empty talk!

Margaret gritted her teeth and came up with a plan.

"Luke," Margaret, wearing a bathrobe and with her hair full of shampoo foam, knocked on Luke's door.

"The water in my room suddenly turned cold. Can I use your bathroom?"

Luke had just changed into his pajamas and was taken aback to see Margaret standing at his door like that.

Thinking about how she had been upset by Elsa earlier, he softened his attitude and let her in.

Margaret went to take a bath in the bathroom while Luke read the financial newspaper in the bedroom. Suddenly, she screamed and rushed out.

"There's a bug!" Margaret, completely naked, threw herself into Luke's arms.

Wasn't this the same trick Elsa had used? Margaret was confident that her figure and looks were no less than Elsa's. If Elsa could do it, so could she!

Caught off guard, Luke's arms opened, carefully keeping a distance from Margaret, "Margaret, stop it."
