Chapter 306 Apology

Leo took a white handkerchief out of his skirt pocket and moved closer to Elsa. Elsa wasn't used to being touched by others, so she flinched slightly but still allowed Leo to wipe the bloodstains from the corner of her mouth.

To Luke, this action was undoubtedly provocative.

Nothing Leo did was surprising, but what angered Luke was that Elsa didn't avoid it. She didn't seem to mind Leo's touch. Of course, she didn't mind; she even sounded a bit more cheerful when he came in!

"You lost to this? Elsa, you're too weak," Leo said mockingly, but his tone was incredibly soft, and his actions were exceptionally gentle.

"I didn't lose." Although her face was injured, she believed she hadn't let Jasmine take advantage. If there was any mistake, it was that she wasn't cautious enough, allowing Jasmine to strike first.

"Fine, you didn't lose. You're the best in the world," Leo's voice was almost doting.

Whether Elsa didn't notice or was already used to it, she showed no sign of surprise! Luke was jealous, and his expression grew even darker.

"What do you want to do?" Leo asked her in the same tone, looking down at her.

"I was shopping at the mall when Jasmine rushed up and hit me. The mall's surveillance can prove she was the one causing trouble first. I want to press charges."

The incident was clearly Jasmine's fault. What angered Elsa the most was that when the police saw it was Jasmine fighting with her, they didn't even file a report and hurriedly called Luke. Now that Leo was here, she wanted to see if she could get some justice.

"Of course, you have the right to pursue this," Leo said. "Let's leave first, okay? My lawyer will handle the rest."

The softness and warmth in his tone might have been for Luke's benefit, but what angered Luke was Elsa's attitude, as if this was their usual way of interacting!

Was she falling for Leo? It wasn't impossible.

"Jasmine, did you start the fight?" Luke's gaze at Jasmine was sharp and piercing.

"I was just mad. Elsa is always causing trouble behind my back. She deserved it!" Under Luke's intense stare, Jasmine shrank back, her voice weakening.

"Apologize to Ms. Miller," Luke's tone was chillingly cold.

He hadn't called her Ms. Miller in a long time, not since they first got married.

Elsa was stunned, her heart aching faintly.

Jasmine couldn't bring herself to apologize, stubbornly refusing to speak.

"Jasmine, I'll say it again, apologize to Ms. Miller. Don't make me say it a third time, or the consequences will be beyond what you can handle."

Luke was scolding Jasmine, but everyone present knew his anger was directed at Elsa.

Elsa felt bitter, her throat tight, and she pressed her lips together without speaking.

"Elsa, I'm sorry." Jasmine's face turned red with anger, but she had to lower her head and apologize.

"Louder, didn't you eat?" Luke kicked over the chair in front of him, roaring.

Jasmine stepped aside in fear, tears streaming down uncontrollably.

It was clear to everyone that Luke's anger was directed at Elsa.

Elsa dug her nails into her palm to steady herself and said calmly:

"There's no need. I don't care for Ms. Taylor's apology. You can discuss the rest with the lawyer."

With that, Elsa walked out without looking back.
