Chapter 355 Traffic Dividend
Elsa decided to leverage her popularity.
Although she wasn't a public figure and had always acted low-key, she had appeared in the public eye countless times over the past year.
She had been hurt by public opinion, and also been overly praised by it, but had never enjoyed the benefits that came with it.
She always sought effective methods in whatever she did. Once she understood this point, she had no more concerns.
Now that short video platforms were booming, Elsa decided to test the waters with them first.
She tentatively registered an account and posted her first video.
The video was titled "Seven Ways to Style a Coat for a High-End Look."
There was no self-introduction, not even a word spoken. With soothing light music in the background, Elsa stood in front of the camera, showcasing seven different ways to style a coat with various inner layers, shoes, and bags.
In less than an hour, the video had reached over a million views.
[Is this Elsa?] Some people, not believing their eyes, asked their friends.
[It is Elsa! Is she planning to become a fashion blogger?]
[She's so beautiful!]
[Where can I buy this coat?]
Without buying views or manipulating data, she gained over 800,000 followers in just one day. By the next morning, she had surpassed a million, and by the afternoon, she was heading towards three million.
Elsa knew that all of this had little to do with her looks; it was all thanks to the headlines she had made over the past year. Despite the mixed reviews, her name had become well-known.
Chloe excitedly called her via video chat, exclaiming, "Wow, you gained so many followers so quickly. If you can use this as a springboard to boost your career, all the hardships you went through will be worth it."
With followers, monetization became much easier. Her phone had been ringing non-stop since the morning, indicating that her follower count was still rising.
Everything was going according to plan. She hadn't expected to reach the point where she could benefit from her popularity.
'So use this as a springboard to boost her career. Vincent's medical expenses would need money in the future.' Elsa thought.
"By the way, when are you coming back? I have a lot of management questions to ask you." Thinking that Chloe had been abroad for almost a month, she really missed her.
"We'll see." Chloe hesitated for a moment, looking awkward.
Elsa suddenly had a realization, "Did you go abroad to avoid something you didn't want to face back home?"
"Sort of," Chloe replied vaguely.
"Did you flirt with Oliver and then regret it?" Elsa knew Chloe too well.
"Yes."
Elsa sighed, "So what are you thinking?"
"I think people shouldn't have to be with someone they don't love if they can't be with the one they do. It's like double the pain."
Elsa found herself unable to argue.
Love, the most mysterious thing in the world. Oliver was more suitable for Chloe in every way compared to Jonathan, but Chloe just couldn't love him.
"Poor Oliver, I feel bad for him," Elsa said. "After all, I was the one who pushed you two together."
"I'm setting up a $50 million trust with him. Do you think he'll feel better getting a big order even if he can't have me?" Chloe asked.
"You can't have Jonathan, but you can sell him $50 million worth of wine. Would that make you feel better?"
"No."
"Exactly. People from families like yours don't care about money. It's people like me who think money is more important than love," Elsa said self-deprecatingly.
"If you really think that way, why don't you go back to Luke?"
"That's different." Mentioning Luke made Elsa's heart ache, so she quickly changed the subject. "You should come back soon. You have to face what you need to face."
Even after they hung up, Chloe still didn't say when she would return.
