Chapter 222 Reconciliation

Luke leaned in close, pinning Elsa against the elevator wall, kissing her until her cheeks flushed. Her tiny hands pushed against his chest, making soft, kitten-like whimpers.

Luke let her hand roam over his chest. He bent his knee, sliding a leg between hers, pressing tightly against her.

Their breathing got heavier, and the air was thick with romance and tension.

"Take a breath, baby," he whispered, worried she might pass out.

The elevator reached the top floor, but they didn't notice. The doors opened and closed again before Luke, with the last bit of his sanity, hit the button to open them and carried Elsa out.

At the door, he fished the room card out of her purse with one hand. As the electronic lock clicked open, he stepped inside, pressing Elsa against the door in the darkness.

He was so eager he didn't even bother to turn on the lights.

In the dark, Elsa clung weakly to his neck, panting in his ear.

At that moment, the last bit of Luke's rationality went up in flames.

In the morning, Elsa woke up in Luke's arms and suddenly got why people said sex could fix marital problems.

It wasn't that sex had some magic power, but the feeling of being so close, so open with each other, was just intoxicating.

Luke was still asleep, his robe wide open, one arm under Elsa's neck, the other wrapped around her waist.

Elsa stared at his firm groin, then looked up at his face.

He had a broad forehead, high brow bones, a straight nose, and well-defined lips. Every feature of his face was perfectly chiseled. You had to admit, the Creator really took their time with Luke.

With a face like that, even if he wasn't the richest guy in Maplewood City, but just an average Joe, he wouldn't have any trouble finding women.

And now, he was hers.

The longer she looked, the more mesmerized Elsa became. She leaned in and kissed him.

Luke had woken up while she was daydreaming, but he kept his eyes closed. When the kiss landed on his lips, he felt a stir in his heart and opened his eyes.

"If you had been this obedient earlier, you wouldn't have suffered so much," he teased. Seeing her pout, he flipped over, pinning her beneath him.

Their "morning exercise" lasted nearly two hours before they headed to the Price Estate to meet up with Karida.

With some rare company, George took them to the game room to play cards.

Elsa, sitting next to George, felt grateful for his help the previous day and deliberately let him win.

She had a sharp mind and a great memory, so she could guess what George would play next based on his previous moves.

After a few rounds, Luke and Karida noticed her intentions and exchanged glances.

Karida rolled his eyes. "Is this even allowed?"

Luke lifted his eyes with a sense of pride. "How amazing my wife is!"

Karida curled his lips in disdain.

George was happy and even had someone bring a gift for Elsa when they left.

"Elsa, you must be exhausted from letting me win at cards all afternoon. Make sure to rest well," George said suddenly before the driver took them to the airport.

Elsa panicked and quickly confessed, "I just wanted to make you happy, but I didn't expect you to see through my intentions."

This made George laugh heartily, saying, "It doesn't matter, I'm still very happy."

Although Karida was George's actual grandchild, only Elsa seemed like a true granddaughter at that moment.

Having grown up with Leslie and Vincent, Elsa had never felt the love of an elder. Looking at George, she suddenly felt a lump in her throat.

"Grandpa, take care of yourself. I'll come visit you again," she said, her voice slightly choked.
