Chapter 204 Jasmine Confessed

When Luke got back, Elsa was already up, lounging on the living room sofa with a cup of coffee in hand.

"You cold?" he asked, reaching out to feel her leg under the robe. When she shook her head, he relaxed.

Elsa was still mad about the medicine. She shot him a look but didn't say anything.

Luke plopped down next to her and handed over the box Debbie had given him.

"Debbie wanted you to have this," he said, opening the lid to show her.

Elsa stared at the sparkling jewelry inside, feeling like it was burning her hands.

"Is she telling me to take this and get out of your house?"

"What are you talking about?" Luke lightly flicked her forehead with two fingers. "It's a gift. Debbie said she forgot to give it to you when we got married and asked me to bring it to you."

"I don't want it," Elsa said instinctively.

She wasn't scared of Debbie being harsh, but this sudden kindness made her suspicious.

Luke frowned. "Mom said this is for her daughter-in-law. If you don't want it, should she give it to someone else?"

"But why is she suddenly giving me these things?" Elsa asked.

Elsa realized. "Did you tell Mrs. Taylor what I said yesterday?"

"Can't a few million dollars' worth of jewelry get you to call her Mom?" Luke dodged the question.

Elsa was speechless. "She might not want me to call her Mom."

Luke hugged her and kissed the corner of her lips.

"She does."

"You two are the most important women in my life. Mom's a strong person, but she made the first move to be nice to you. Next time you see her, just be a bit more considerate, okay?" Luke said.

He pressed his forehead against hers, his eyes intense.

Luke actually went to sort out family drama for her. Elsa's heart softened. "I understand."

Meanwhile, Jasmine, who had been rude to Elsa at the Taylor Family Estate, was grounded by Aaron for three days before she could go out.

The first thing she did when she got out was invite Jonny for coffee, planning to confess her feelings again.

Since she was a kid, Jasmine had been the Taylor family's spoiled treasure. The only thing she couldn't have was Jonny.

Because of that, Jonny had become Jasmine's obsession over the years.

She finished her studies a semester early and came back home, all because Jonny had returned early too.

To see Jonny, Jasmine dressed to the nines, with trendy makeup and a red tight-fitting camisole dress under her coat, showing off her figure.

But Jonny stayed indifferent the whole time.

"I'm back to prepare for an arranged marriage with the Clark family," Jasmine blurted out halfway through their coffee.

"Congrats," Jonny replied smoothly.

"Jonny, you know I like you! If you want me to refuse it, I'll tell my family I don't want to marry Terry right now!" Jasmine said, getting annoyed at Jonny's reaction.

"And you know I've been in love with someone else for a long time," Jonny said seriously.

This wasn't the first time they'd had this conversation. When they were abroad, Jonny had used the same reason to reject Jasmine many times. That's why Jasmine was so hostile towards Elsa.

"But she's already married! She's Luke's wife now!" Jasmine said.

"Jonny, Elsa used underhanded means to marry Luke. What do you even see in her?" Jasmine asked.

As she said this, Jasmine was filled with jealousy, oblivious to the darkening look on Jonny's face.

"Jasmine, my feelings for Elsa are my own business. Don't you dare badmouth her to me again, or we're finished." Jonny interrupted Jasmine bluntly, and they parted on bad terms.

After parting with Jonny, Jasmine was both angry and upset, blaming it all on Elsa.

'Elsa, you bitch! I'll make you pay!' Jasmine thought.
