Chapter 150 To Make Love or Not, Baby
"Yeah," Elsa mumbled.
"Margaret did come by yesterday. I lied 'cause I didn't want you stressing and losing sleep. I only see her as a sister, nothing more," Luke pressed his cheek against Elsa's, speaking softly, trying not to freak her out. He never thought he'd be sweet-talking a woman like this.
"But why'd you spend so much time with her, pretending it was a business trip? I don't get it." Elsa finally voiced her biggest worry. They had spent seven days together.
"What do you mean, a long time? I saw Margaret yesterday around 6 PM and sent her to the airport by 8 PM. Is that a long time?" Luke frowned, confused.
Where did Elsa hear such rumors?
"You're just making excuses." Elsa pulled out her phone to show Luke Margaret's social media posts, only to find they were deleted.
Elsa suddenly realized she might have fallen into Margaret's trap!
"Margaret posted that you spent seven days with her in Everglow City, helping her relax and even carrying her luggage." Her stiff body softened as she turned to hug Luke. "I got so mad when I saw it, so I confronted you. But you lied to me. How could you lie to your wife!"
Luke felt Elsa's change, and his heart softened. He cupped her butt and pressed his forehead against hers. "Did you believe it?" he whispered.
"I didn't want to, but when you lied to me, I got so mad." Elsa pouted, snuggling into Luke's neck, making his Adam's apple bob.
"Stop moving," he said in a deep voice, holding her waist.
He took out his phone and called Max and demanded, "You have half an hour to find out where Margaret's been the past seven days."
Max was quick, and within half an hour, he had the info. Margaret had indeed flown to Everglow City yesterday afternoon and returned that evening.
"Margaret's so bad, trying to mess with us. Honey, you almost lost me," Elsa, still upset, couldn't help but complain.
"It's my fault. I should've told you the truth when she came over. I deserve to be punished." Luke hugged her tightly.
"But I resisted and sent her away that night. Don't I deserve a reward?" As he spoke, his hand slipped under her shirt, caressing her back, and unhooked her bra with one hand.
Elsa shivered under his touch, clutching his robe and breathing heavily.
"Did you take medicine?" Luke suddenly asked.
"What?" In such an intimate moment, Elsa was a bit slow to react.
She thought Luke was talking about birth control pills.
When they first got married, she had taken them a few times, but Luke had thrown them all away when he found out.
He reasoned that birth control pills were bad for her health. If they had a kid, they could afford to raise it. If they didn't want one yet, he could use condoms.
Her eyes misted over as she looked at Luke, feeling aroused.
"I came home and saw you had been in the medicine cabinet," Luke said, his hand moving from her back to her front.
"I wasn't feeling well and was afraid I'd have an episode." Elsa's face turned red, and her body softened as she leaned into Luke, feeling dizzy.
Luke sighed and hugged her tightly. He had almost let her have an episode due to his negligence.
"It's my fault, honey. You can punish me however you want." He kissed her wet eyelashes and then her flushed cheeks.
Eventually, his lips met hers.Elsa was kissed into a daze, her small hands clutching at Luke's collar.
Luke let out a low groan, grabbed her wandering hand, and placed it on his abs.
Even after being married for so long, Elsa still didn't know what to do, always needing his guidance.
But Luke loved seeing her unconscious reactions, so shy and delicate, a stark contrast to her usual demeanor.
She was truly beautiful, but her strong personality and lack of romantic understanding might lead people to believe that marrying her could be troublesome. That was why she hadn't had many suitors over the years.
Those who dared to love her were usually powerful and wealthy. Jonny was, Jonathan was, and so was Luke.
Luke felt lucky to be the one who had her and saw this alluring side of her.
"Do you want to make love, baby?" he mischievously asked, stopping midway.
Elsa stubbornly refused to answer.
