Chapter 368 "Honey, give me a hug"

Obviously, Luke had noticed her too.

"Come here." He looked at her with an incredibly vulnerable and slightly aggrieved expression, speaking softly.

What was wrong with him?

Elsa, who had endured countless grievances herself, felt nothing but heartache seeing the usually in-control Luke so desolate.

She couldn't control her legs and walked towards him.

"Something happened. I'll tell you later. Try to console him." Karida tactfully left and whispered to Elsa as they passed each other.

Elsa nodded slightly and sat down across from Luke.

"Honey, you're here." Luke was clearly drunk. He lay on the table, calling out to Elsa with a slightly nasal, spoiled tone.

Elsa didn't want to argue with him. He could call her whatever he wanted; she didn't care.

She went to the bar to get a bottle of water and received a timely message from Karida.

Reading the whole story made Elsa frown. She had long known what kind of person Margaret was, so she wasn't too surprised. But Terry's actions shocked her.

Luke had a clear distinction between "outsiders" and "his own people." To outsiders, he was cold and ruthless, a true capitalist. But to his own people, he was especially loyal and affectionate.

She couldn't imagine how heartbroken Luke must be by Terry's actions.

She walked back, opened the water bottle, and gently fed Luke some water, supporting the back of his neck.

The drunken Luke had lost his usual hardness and was exceptionally soft. He let Elsa handle him, looking at her with wet eyes like a wounded golden retriever.

Elsa was startled by her thoughts, realizing she had compared him to a big dog.

He was a wolf, at most a wolf temporarily numbed by alcohol.

"Don't be sad. I'll take you to the beach for some fresh air, okay?" Elsa pulled Luke's arm, trying to get him up.

So Luke really used her strength to get up and immediately leaned on her.

Elsa felt it was hard to move an inch.

"Do you need help?" A bar staff member saw Elsa struggling and came over to ask.

Elsa was about to answer.

"No." Luke mumbled, resting his head in the crook of Elsa's neck.

"Okay. Then can you walk by yourself, please?"

Elsa turned her head and coaxed him like a child, her tone softer than ever.

"Okay." Luke leaned in and pecked her lips.

He indeed managed to stand up straight and walked out on his own.

The bar was only about a five-minute drive from the beach, and they arrived quickly.

The early morning sea breeze sobered Luke up a bit.

They sat side by side on a bench on the beach, not saying a word for hours.

"Honey, hold me." As dawn approached, Luke suddenly spoke in a hoarse voice.

At that moment, Elsa's heart became softer than the sand beneath her feet, softer than the clouds in the sky.

She sighed and turned to hug Luke tightly. The chill from his body gave her goosebumps.

"What are you going to do?"

Having never seen this side of Luke, Elsa wished she could bear all his burdens for him.

"Of course, those who did wrong will pay the price." Luke's expression was dark and cold, his words filled with ruthlessness.

Meanwhile, as soon as Chloe parted ways with Elsa, she contacted Jonathan.
