Chapter 224 Changing to Call Her Mom

This trip to Stellaria City really brought Elsa and Luke closer, and Brian arranged for someone to approach David. For Elsa, it was like hitting the jackpot twice.

Her long-lost smile was finally making a comeback.

Not too long ago, things were still awkward between them, but now, they couldn't even have a meal without sitting next to each other.

"How should I thank you?" Elsa asked, holding Luke's face and kissing the corner of his mouth.

"What do you think? My answer's always been the same," Luke replied.

He wanted a kid. Ever since they dodged Sean's bullets, he'd been dreaming of having a child.

Not too long ago, Elsa was totally against it, but now she was starting to see things differently.

In this world, her brother was her only blood relative. Having a kid didn't seem like such a bad idea.

'If the kid looks like Luke...' Elsa thought, feeling a bit excited.

Would having a kid make their relationship more stable? No, she couldn't think like that. A child should be the result of their love, not a tool to hold the marriage together.

But if Luke didn't love her, why would he do so much for her?

Some things just weren't his fault.

Elsa thought to herself, 'Forget it, let things happen naturally.'

Elsa was hesitant, but Luke was determined.

He secretly tossed Elsa's birth control pills, fully expecting her to freak out when she noticed they were gone.

But after a few intimate moments, Elsa was so exhausted she fell into a deep sleep and didn't even ask for the pills.

When you were busy, time flew. Before they knew it, Christmas had passed, and it was time for Tomorrow's Gathering.

For a big family like the Taylors, Tomorrow's Gathering was a must-attend event.

Vincent was with the King family, so naturally, Elsa went back to the Taylor Family Estate with Luke.

Aaron, Holly, and their family were all there, along with several aunts and uncles. Dozens of people gathered at the Taylor Family Estate for a meal.

Introduced by Luke, Elsa greeted the elders and then met Debbie.

Having received millions worth of jewelry, Elsa couldn't keep up her guard. She lowered her stance and softly said, "Happy Tomorrow's Gathering."

Maybe it was the holiday spirit, but Elsa felt like Debbie's gaze was extra gentle today.

During the meal, Debbie even had the servants serve Elsa three times.

"Give Elsa some of this roast meat."

"Serve her some ginseng soup."

"The geoduck is good, give Elsa one."

Among all the younger generation at the table, only Elsa got this special treatment.

Elsa kept her cool, politely looking at Debbie, but inside she was wondering if the sun had risen from the west.

Debbie treating her so well in front of the family was just her way of showing everyone that she accepted Elsa as her daughter-in-law.

All of this was because Luke had gone out early that morning to negotiate with Debbie for her. How he managed to persuade Debbie was still a mystery. Elsa glanced at Luke beside her, feeling a warmth in her heart.

Luke knew Debbie was intentionally showing goodwill and smiled slightly.

Turning to look at Elsa, she didn't seem overly flattered, just calmly smiling at Debbie.

Debbie had gone to such lengths, shouldn't she show some appreciation? Luke frowned and cleared his throat.

Elsa seemed to get the hint, took a sip of chicken soup, and then said, "It's delicious, thank you, Mom."

The word "Mom" was said so naturally, it surprised everyone.
