Chapter 393 As the Name Suggests

Giselle personally invited Elsa, and not going would seem too arrogant. That evening, Elsa brought some gifts and supplements and went to the King Villa.

Despite being prepared, Elsa was still taken aback when she saw Giselle.

How could there be such a fragile woman in the world? She was so thin that she seemed like she could be blown away by the wind, her face pale, and her lips devoid of color. The only color on her face was her amber eyes.

When someone was thin, their eyes appeared disproportionately large, and those eyes seemed to speak volumes when looking at people.

Without a doubt, Giselle was beautiful. But no one could remember her beauty; they remembered her fragility, her brokenness, and her pitiful appearance, which made people want to be kind to her.

Giselle was also taken aback when she saw Elsa.

She had never seen such a beautiful girl in real life, with a delicate face and overly expressive eyes, yet the look in her eyes was cold and aloof, with a vibrant spirit that made people shiver.

Before coming, she had already investigated Elsa, thinking she had a similarly tough background and would naturally be good at being humble, speaking well, doing things right, and being likable.

Who knew she would look so distant, not at all approachable, only exuding an air of nobility.

They all grew up in hardship, so why did Elsa get to be so dignified and spirited?

A trace of resentment flashed through Giselle's heart, but she gave Elsa a big hug.

"Elsa, Grandma has always mentioned you. You're even more beautiful than in the videos."

Sweet talkers were liked everywhere.

"Oh, not at all, Giselle is very beautiful too," Elsa said sincerely.

Because Giselle was coming, Eric, who was in 12th grade, was specially brought back, showing how much the King family valued her.

During the meal, Giselle was either peeling shrimp for Eric or serving soup and dishes for Lara, her attentiveness even making the old butler of the King family feel ashamed.

"Giselle, eat your food, don't always take care of him. He's grown up," Jonathan finally couldn't help but say when Giselle was handling a crab for Eric.

Eric stuck out his tongue.

"Giselle isn't well; you should be taking care of her," Lara also spoke up.

"I haven't seen Eric in a long time, I missed him," Giselle said with a smile, raising the water glass beside her.

"Elsa, I toast to you with this drink," she suddenly called out to Elsa, who had been invisible beside her.

The call was so affectionate that Elsa was taken aback, then she smiled and raised her glass, "I should toast to Giselle."

"From now on, I'll rely on you to take care of Grandma. She loves spicy food and drinking, but the doctor said she needs to moderate. Grandma has trouble sleeping, especially when the seasons change. And she likes balloon flowers."

Elsa felt something was off.

If Leslie really had any connection with the King family, Lara and Jonathan might not tell her, and they certainly wouldn't tell Giselle.

Clearly, Giselle only learned of her existence after that video call.

It seemed too boundary-less for Giselle to give such detailed instructions about Grandma's care to an outsider.

Elsa could only think of one possibility: this was a performance, meant to show loyalty to the King family.

Clearly, the King family was very receptive.

"Don't talk nonsense, Grandma will find the most advanced technology and will definitely save you," Lara's eyes reddened first.
