Chapter 59 You Really Came

Elsa and Chloe agreed to look for a house together. When Elsa stepped out, Chloe's car was waiting nearby.

"You worked hard to get married, you shouldn't give up so easily." Chloe couldn't believe she was giving up so easily.

"The opponent is too strong and I can't do anything about it. Besides, there's no way Karen can marry Luke, so I've achieved my goal," Elsa said with a bitter smile.

She had been bold when Luke was dating Karen was simply because she had been able to see that Luke's feelings for Karen were vulnerable.

She couldn't compare to Margaret, Luke's dream girl from his youth and his eternal first love.

"It's a good thing you don't love Luke either. As long as he doesn't divorce you and marry Karen, you won't lose," Chloe reiterated.

But when she turned to see Elsa, there was a hint of sadness in her eyes. She suddenly froze,

"Elsa, do you really feel this way?"

"I don't know."

She had been suppressing her feelings all along, and she really didn't know how she felt about Luke.

Chloe sighed.

Elsa had been extremely calm in front of Luke, but now she had let down her guard and seemed restless.

The two women looked at several houses near the hospital, but none of them were quite right.

"Forget it, we should stop. If you really get a divorce, you can stay at my place. Come on, cheer up, I'll take you to eat sushi," Chloe said.

Chloe couldn't bear to see Elsa like this, so she took her to the most expensive sushi restaurant in Maplewood City.

"Bring us everything on these pages."

Chloe casually picked two pages and then asked Elsa, "Should we have some sake?"

"I didn't agree with you going to the hotel to see him back then, I was afraid this would! A woman can't let go of her first man so easily." Chloe finally said what had been on her mind after a few drinks.

"You said it was for revenge, but you've already fallen in love with Luke, haven't you?"

"I don't know." Elsa spoke the truth. "Besides, his first love has returned, it doesn't matter whether I love him or not."

She poured another glass for Chloe, "Stop talking about these useless things, let's drink."

"Alright."

Chloe clinked glasses with her.

So, the two women drank from eleven in the morning until the sushi restaurant closed in the afternoon, but they were reluctant to leave.

"I'll call a driver to bring the car over, wait here," Chloe said as she took out her phone to call the driver and walked toward the parking lot. Elsa sat on a chair in the outdoor seating area to wait for her.

"Elsa! Luke dumped you so quickly when Margaret came back," Karen taunted Elsa as she came out from the neighboring store.

"You haven't even been married for five days, and your marriage has failed so quickly? Everyone will laugh at you if this gets out." Karen was very pleased, almost laughing with tears in her eyes.

"Karen, what are you so proud of? You wouldn't have a chance even if Luke and I got a divorce. Besides, Luke and did what we should, what about you? Stop clinging to Luke, he doesn't even look at you. You're the pitiful one!" Elsa looked at Karen disdainfully, her tone icy.

"There is nothing for you to be proud of, Elsa. Without Luke's protection, you have nothing!" Karen sneered, "I thought you were some tough character, but you're nothing."

"If there's nothing else, you can leave." Elsa stood up and started to walk toward the parking lot.

But Karen lunged forward and grabbed her hair.
