Chapter 265 Remarry or Go to Jail
Elsa didn't act coy anymore and slowly took a drag from the cigarette. The unique scent of nicotine temporarily calmed her down.
"It's very unwise of you to visit me at this time," she said in a low, hoarse voice. Her lips had two small cracks, barely visible under the dim light.
Luke suddenly snatched the half-smoked cigarette from her, took a drag himself, and pressed his lips against hers.
Elsa's lips mixed with the taste of tobacco, made Luke's heart pound as he gradually pressed Elsa against the wall.
Her lips had a rough texture, making his heart itch.
Elsa didn't expect Luke to get aroused in the visitation room.
She had no strength to struggle. The disparity in their physical strength, combined with her deep-seated longing for him, made her ultimately yield to his advances.
They kissed for a long time. Elsa's dry mouth was moistened, her throat gradually becoming wet. Her tongue, like a fish out of water, chased after the source of moisture.
Luke chuckled softly. "Honey, how come you're so proactive after our divorce?"
The dazed look in her eyes was unmistakable. They didn't know how long they had been kissing when Luke's leg pressed between hers.
"Elsa, how about we make a deal?" Luke asked, using the last bit of his rationality.
"What?"
"I'll get you out of here, and you remarry me."
This deal wasn't unreasonable; any other woman would not refuse. It would save her from prison and allow her to become Luke's wife again.
But Elsa didn't even consider it. "No."
"Do you know what life is like in prison?"
Her braid had come undone from his earlier antics. Luke picked up a strand of her hair and played with it, looking at her intently under the light. "Such beautiful hair will be cut off in prison. You'll work every day. At night, you'll have to shower and change in front of dozens of people."
"People in prison love to bully newcomers, especially beauties like you. You're so delicate; how can you do hard labor and endure such suffering? If your body is humiliated, you might not survive." Luke's breath grew heavier as he whispered in Elsa's ear.
He continued. "You know how it breaks a person's spirit."
Hearing Luke say it out loud, she couldn't help but feel scared, getting goosebumps all over.
If Luke could visit her now, he could definitely get her out. Remarrying someone she still loved and who treated her well was actually a win-win deal.
After remarrying, she would become Mrs. Taylor, the woman he kept by his side.
Her spirit would still be worn down. She would go from not accepting him leaving her for other women to gradually becoming numb.
Giving her heart to someone was too terrifying. Elsa thought for less than five more minutes.
"I refuse," she said, lifting her tear-filled eyes.
"You'd rather waste your youth here than come back to me?" Luke frowned at her, his face showing anger.
Her lips glistened under the dim light.
"Elsa, being with me is more painful than being in prison?" He thought she had fought so hard for the divorce just to protect him from being implicated. He didn't expect that her genuine desire to leave him was significant too!
She was incredibly rational. He had let the police arrest her just to find an opportunity to negotiate with her.
The only miscalculation was that she chose prison over remarrying him!
