Chapter 9 A Ruptured Wound
"She had a ruptured wound. It was about 0.79 inches to 1.18 inches, with mild infection."
The next day, Luke held Elsa's gynecological diagnosis report, furrowing his brow unnaturally.
In front of Elsa, he seemed to find it difficult to suppress his instincts.
His outward image had always been cold and indifferent, never easily revealing emotions.
However, Elsa appeared to have ignited his darker side, pushing him to the brink of losing his self-restraint. In her company, he found himself revealing his authentic self, fully returning to his inherent nature.
Thinking back to the last time she was pinned down by him on the sofa in the club's private room, where she put on a faked smile, and with a hint of sadness in her eyes, Luke felt heavy-hearted.
He had indeed been too disrespectful to her.
‘Next time when they meet, he should give her a check.’ Luke thought to himself.
His thoughts were interrupted by a phone call. It was Terry.
"Luke, you just learned how to make love, and you've done it three times in three days, causing Elsa to have a ruptured wound. You're quite something. Do you want me to buy you some supplements?" Terry teased.
“Do you want to look at this?” Terry said. Terry was Chole’s cousin, a well-known media host in the country. Ever since he received the anonymous press release in the morning, he had intercepted a marketing draft and forwarded it to Luke without knowing it was Chloe's act.
It was a fascinating piece of gossip news, excellently written with a very engaging narrative style. If the protagonist weren't Luke, he would have been eager to gossip about what happened next.
The accompanying pictures were even more sensational: They were unedited high-definition screenshots from an intimate video, cleverly avoiding crucial areas but still making it clear what they were doing. And the close-ups of the faces of the man and woman were revealed.
“This woman is a lunatic, shamelessly ruthless in achieving her goal,” Luck said indignantly.
Compared to what she did behind the scenes, he was more upset that she had shamelessly exposed his naked body to the media.
He now regretted underestimating her.
Luke smacked his hand down onto the table.
Elsa went to work at the Diamond Crest Clubhouse at night.
"Elsa, someone is looking for you in Room 816." Elsa, as usual, took the wine list and went upstairs.
"Hello." She politely knocked on the door of Room 816.
Luke sat on the sofa with a cold expression, looking at her with Terry beside him.
Upon seeing Luke, Elsa remembered that she hadn't heard anything about the news draft edited overnight and subconsciously took out her phone to inquire.
"No need to look. The draft is with me. You truly are a talented student from a prestigious school, and your marketing drafts are better than those of ordinary media professionals." Luke shook his phone, coldly curling up one side of his lip.
It turned out that their secret had been discovered, and trouble came in.
Elsa felt a bit flustered, but she took a deep breath to steady herself and put on her iconic smile as usual.
"I've always said that if you don't marry me, I'll expose the video. You should have expected this." Holding the wine list, she walked up to Luke, sitting on his lap in front of Terry.
Luke's eyes darkened, but he didn't move.
It was Terry who choked by her bold move, breaking into a cough.
"Why do you have to marry me?"
He thought she would come up with some excuses, but she admitted it very directly.
"Because you are handsome. I fell for you at first sight." Elsa lied; the two were close, but her cold eyes showed no affection for him. Luke could see through her.
So Luke chuckled coldly, taking the wine list from her hands. “If you want to marry me, that's fine. Drink all of these wines today, and tomorrow, we'll go to get a marriage certificate." He casually selected a few items and sent the order. Soon, a waiter pushed a cart of drinks over.
Ten bottles of different brands of whiskey were lined up in front of Elsa.
Since she was willing to strain her effort to achieve her goals, so he wanted to test her character and see if she was willing to give up.
There was a moment of astonishment in Elsa's eyes, but it was only momentary.
"If I drink all of these, I'll die." She suddenly stopped smiling, climbed down from Luke, and squatted in front of him, speaking softly.
Looking up at him, Elsa had a somewhat pitiful look.
Luke thought she was going to beg for mercy, and she couldn’t bear the consequences.
"If you don't drink, then don't let me see you again." He reached out and held her chin, which was visibly reddening.
