Chapter 418 One Must Enjoy Life to the Fullest
'they're wearing that in this weather?' Jonathan frowned as he looked at the two women.
Elsa was fine, dressed in a knitted long dress with a coat over it. But Chloe? What was she thinking?
Chloe had on a burgundy leather jacket, a crop top underneath, a miniskirt, black fishnet stockings, and combat boots.
It was a bold outfit, but somehow her wealthy heiress vibe made it seem almost normal.
What was going on? Chloe usually looked like a good girl. Was she cutting loose after a breakup?
No, they had never been a couple, so there was no breakup. Chloe had only sent him a WhatsApp message saying, "Let's end this."
Jonathan felt a sense of oppression as he watched the two enter the club.
"Running into such stunning women right when I step out, that's a good sign. Mr. King, I'll take my leave now. Thanks for your trust, and I look forward to a successful collaboration."
The business partner who had entered the parking lot with Jonathan had been watching the two women go inside and finally spoke up.
He knew both of these stunning women. What a coincidence.
"Mr. King, if you're interested, I could have someone bring them over..." The partner started to say, but stopped mid-sentence when he saw Jonathan's icy glare.
"We've been partners for years. Don't make things difficult for yourself," Jonathan said coolly, remotely unlocking his car.
The partner broke out in a cold sweat.
He nodded and bowed quickly, not daring to say another word.
A dozen tall, handsome men stood in a line in front of Chloe and Elsa, creating quite a scene.
"Hello, ladies!"
Chloe nodded, looking like a diner choosing from a menu.
"You, you, you, and you stay. The rest, bring in another batch."
Another group came in.
"These ones stay."
And another group.
Chloe picked out over twenty men, displaying the extravagant behavior of a wealthy heiress. The men surrounded the two women, pouring drinks and shaking dice, all acting very attentive.
"It's more fun being pampered," Chloe said, resting her leg on one of the men's legs and casually feeding Elsa a French fry.
Elsa raised an eyebrow. "You look like a spoiled rich kid right now."
"Live life to the fullest," Chloe laughed, winking at one of the men. "Right?"
The men were quick to catch on, raising their glasses. "To you, Miss."
Elsa had a colder demeanor. She sat quietly, not speaking. When a man tried to approach her, seeing she wasn't interested, he returned to focus on Chloe.
Jonathan watched Chloe walk into the city's famous men's club, feeling stifled and uncomfortable.
But what right did he have to interfere? They had "ended things," and even if they hadn't, they weren't a couple. He had no reason to intervene.
Driving home, Jonathan's mind was in turmoil.
Chloe had pretended to be a good girl in front of him for so long, and now she was letting loose?
What was she planning to do? Drinking with men was one thing, but what if she stayed overnight?
Jonathan was shocked by the thought. She wasn't the type to indulge in excess, was she?
But what if she was feeling down?
Jonathan's thoughts were chaotic, unable to calm down.
No, he couldn't let Chloe go wild.
Jonathan arrived home, sat in the living room, smoked a cigarette, and finally made up his mind.
