Chapter 162 Debbie's Anger

"Good morning, Mrs. Taylor," Elsa greeted warmly. It had been since Debbie's last birthday that they had seen each other. Now that they were meeting again, Elsa made sure to extend a polite greeting.

She knew Debbie was here to confront her, but Elsa wasn't scared and didn't show any weakness.

"Elsa, is this how you treat your elders?" Debbie threw a teacup at her, hitting Elsa's shoulder before it shattered on the ground.

Elsa looked around. Lisa wasn't there. She figured Lisa had been sent away.

Several bodyguards stood at the entrance, clearly not from the villa.

"It's the 21st century. Do you want me to kneel and bow?" Elsa felt she was being respectful, but Debbie was just picking a fight.

Her shoulder hurt a lot. It was probably going to swell.

Debbie snapped, "It's been months since you joined our family, and you just show me no respect. Yet, you use the name Mrs. Taylor to cause trouble and still dare to talk back?"

Debbie hadn't expected the teacup to hit Elsa. Seeing Elsa frown in pain, her expression changed, but she still slapped the table in anger.

"You don't acknowledge me as your daughter-in-law, so I thought it best to keep a bit of distance. family harmony, I'm willing to make changes." Elsa's face turned pale from the pain, but she stayed calm.

Elsa's inherent pride led her to remain aloof towards those she wasn't close to, making others appear overly dramatic, including Debbie, who found this particularly irksome."Just forget it, cause you won't be the Taylor family's daughter-in-law for much longer!" Debbie stood up, walked to Elsa, and slapped her.

Elsa's ears rang from the slap, and she pressed her lips together.

"This slap is because you secretly met with another man, disgracing the Taylor family!"

Another slap.

"This slap is for your greed. In three months of marriage, you tricked my son into spending hundreds of millions. Elsa, if you have any sense,, you'll divorce Luke immediately. You can take whatever Luke gave you. If you don't, don't blame me for being ruthless!"

Even though Elsa was the one being hit, Debbie was so angry she was shaking.

Elsa's face burned with pain, but she smiled.

She stated, "Mrs. Taylor, from the time we met until now, you've slapped me three times, made me kneel once, and conspired with Margaret to slander me in front of Luke. I endured it because you're Luke's mother. I get it, you don't see me as a suitable daughter-in-law. But I'm not that weak."

"From now on, I owe you nothing. If you wish for me to divorce, please address your concerns with your son directly. If Luke chooses to pursue a divorce, I won't cling onto him. As for you, if you dare to touch me again, don't blame me for not respecting elders."

With a red mark on her face, Elsa looked proud and pointed to the door. "Until I get divorced, this is my home. Please leave."

"Fine, just you wait!" Debbie was so angry her blood pressure spiked, and she almost collapsed.

Seeing this, the bodyguards quickly came in to support Debbie.

"Goodbye then," Elsa stated calmly, striding past Debbie as if she were invisible, and ascended the stairs gracefully.

"Take me to the hospital," Debbie said weakly.
