Chapter 448 You Like

Elsa tried to hide her annoyance and forced a smile. "Where do you wanna chill? How about we find a place for a massage?"

Luke raised an eyebrow. "You into that kinda thing?"

"It's alright," she replied.

Their cars cruised side by side, stopping at a red light at the intersection.

"How about this—I'll give you a massage when we get back. For now, let's go somewhere else," Luke teased, his tone playful.

Their conversation was loud enough for the driver in the car behind them to overhear.

"Those two are something else. Driving separate cars to go out—rich folks? Can't wrap my head around their world," the driver remarked.

"A guy driving a Cullinan and still giving his wife massages. You won't even buy me flowers," his wife grumbled from the passenger seat.

Luke drove Elsa to the nearest beach.

They got out of their cars one after the other. Luke grabbed a blanket, draped it over Elsa's shoulders, and walked with her along the shoreline.

The winter night at the beach was unusually serene, with no tourists around. The stars in the sky, accompanied by the glow of landscape lights, reflected on the water, creating a shimmering, extraordinary beauty.

"Your name is so beautiful. Did your mom pick it?" Luke asked softly.

He had never met Leslie, but he always showed her respect and courtesy because she was Elsa's mother.

Elsa was touched. "If my mom knew you praised her like this, she'd be thrilled. By the way, when did you start enjoying watching the stars by the sea?"

Her voice was a bit hoarse, with a slight nasal tone.

Luke's heart stirred. He kissed the top of her head. "Since the last time you brought me here."

That night, he had discovered Terry and Margaret's affair, and it was Elsa who kept him company by the sea all night.

Because of that night, he fell in love with watching the night sea and the stars reflected in it.

Elsa felt warmth in her heart and moved closer to him.

After that, they walked hand in hand along the shoreline for a long time without saying a word.

From around 8 PM until almost 10 PM, they walked. The night breeze blew, and Elsa felt a chill, sneezing.

Luke quickly pulled her into his arms. "Let's go home."

He hadn't asked her a single question the entire time, yet Elsa felt a strange sense of peace.

They drove back in the same car, planning to have a driver pick up the other one the next day.

Elsa leaned back in the passenger seat, feeling much more at ease.

"Why didn't you ask me what happened?" She suddenly realized she hadn't told Luke anything about what had happened.

"You'll tell me if you want to," Luke said, leaning over to buckle her seatbelt. "If you don't wanna talk about it, that's cool too. Just let me know if you need anything."

Coming from the King family, it was naturally related to them. It was her personal matter, and she might not want to share it.

"Luke, you're so good to me," Elsa said, reaching out to hug him.

There was nothing she couldn't tell him, but the fact that he didn't pry and just stayed by her side was incredibly touching.

Luke smiled, feeling a bit flustered by her soft praise. As he started the car, he glanced at her. "If you're that moved, be a little more proactive tonight and reward me a bit."

Elsa was speechless.

Was that something you could say?
