Chapter 229 Ms. Collins, Elsa is Pregnant
Karen and Chloe were going at it, yanking each other's hair and scratching faces, neither one ready to back down.
Chloe made sure to keep her distance from Elsa to avoid hurting her.
"Step aside," she told Elsa while grappling with Karen.
Eventually, the hospital security broke up the fight.
Karen's face was scratched up by Chloe, and Chloe didn't look much better; her hair was a mess, and one of her earrings was ripped out, making her look like a wreck.
Outside the hospital, Elsa reached out to hug Chloe, her eyes red.
"Why are you crying? Seriously, I've been fed up with Karen for ages; I've always wanted to teach her a lesson," Chloe patted Elsa's back, adding, "No tears, if you cry, my Goddaughter in your belly will get upset too."
Elsa chuckled at her words and stopped crying. "She's not even formed yet, and besides, the baby might not be a girl."
"No worries, a girl would be great, but a boy's fine too," Chloe said, touching Elsa's small belly. Then she remembered Karen's nasty attitude and earlier curses, and remarked angrily, "Karen really makes me sick."
"They don't have many happy days left," Elsa said with a cold smile.
Brian had placed someone named Mark Bryant. Christian didn't know his background, but he heard that David had poached him from a rival company to be a project manager.
This time, Elsa was determined to win.
She had a feeling that if she couldn't bring down David this time, it would be very difficult to get another chance in the future.
From this perspective, her pregnancy was perfectly timed, making the Miller family think she was focused on it, thus lowering their guard.
As soon as she genuinely wanted a child, God granted her wish. Honestly, she really was lucky.
"Aren't you going to tell Luke?" Chloe suddenly remembered Luke, saying.
"In a few days, when he comes back from his business trip, I'll give him a surprise," Elsa said.
"That's scary," Chloe stared at Elsa for a long time and suddenly said.
Elsa gave her a questioning look.
"Your smile shows you're totally infatuated with him," Chloe commented.
Karen had planned to visit the hospital for a gynecological check-up. She had some new bed partners recently, and occasionally, precautions had been insufficient.
But as soon as she saw Elsa, she was so angry that she forgot everything.
She was pregnant!
Elsa, who had become Luke's wife, was already the biggest threat to the Miller family. If she had a child, wouldn't she become even more arrogant!
After thinking it over, she decided to send a message to Margaret first.
Karen: [Ms. Collins, Elsa is pregnant.]
Margaret quickly called back, "How do you know, is the information reliable?"
Karen then recounted the whole thing to Margaret.
Elsa was actually pregnant?
Margaret recalled Luke's cold tone on the phone after the last incident and how he had been protective of Elsa, feeling a pang of jealousy.
Since that incident, Luke had been unwilling to talk to her and hadn't even come to see Joe.
After a long silence, Margaret clenched her fist and took a deep breath, saying, "Leave it to me."
Jasmine had just visited her, advising her not to give up on pursuing Luke and promising to help. Now, it was time to make use of Jasmine.
