Chapter 439 Elsa: I Have a Recording Here

The kiss came out of nowhere, catching Chloe completely off guard.

They had kissed before, but it was always in the heat of the moment, naturally, when they were in bed. This was the first time they had kissed out of nowhere, in the middle of an argument.

What was Jonathan thinking?

Even when they were just friends with benefits, he never acted like this. Now that they were separated, he seemed to be the one chasing her relentlessly.

"Let go of me," Chloe mumbled through his kiss, trying to push him away.

"No," Jonathan refused to let go. Instead, he took it further, slowly slipping his tongue into her mouth.

He had missed her lips, missed her as a person. Jonathan felt his heart racing.

Initially, he kissed her as a form of punishment, but the taste of her lips made him lose control, and he couldn't stop.

Chloe resisted with all her might, finding Jonathan's behavior inexplicable.

She tried to push his tongue out with hers, but he caught her tongue and sucked on it hard.

Chloe's tongue went numb, and her whole body weakened.

No, this couldn't go on. If they were going to break up, it had to be clean and decisive. Dragging it out wasn't her style!

With a significant difference in physical strength, Chloe decided to bite his tongue hard.

The taste of blood filled their mouths.

Jonathan went crazy, ignoring the pain, and continued kissing her for another four or five minutes before finally letting her go, panting.

It was then that he noticed Chloe's tears.

"Jonathan, are you out of your mind?"

Chloe stomped on Jonathan's foot and turned to leave.

Jonathan was left standing at Chloe's door, feeling lost.

Seeing Chloe's tears had extinguished his anger completely.

After a moment of contemplation, he decided to call Elsa.

"Has Chloe come to see you?"

Elsa, always perceptive, asked, "Did you two fight? Was it because of Giselle?"

Jonathan replied vaguely, "Not exactly."

Elsa let out a mocking laugh, "I knew there would be trouble. But I have a recording you might want to hear."

She hung up and sent a recording from Chloe's office that morning via WhatsApp.

Jonathan listened, frowning deeply. The Giselle in the recording shattered his previous perception of her.

Until now, he had always thought Giselle was just a cautious, insecure girl.

He knew she was clever and not as innocent as she appeared, but he didn't think it was a big deal. Every child has their own personality, and she was entitled to hers.

But today, Giselle's words in Chloe's office were pure fabrication, twisting the truth!

The diamond earrings he gave her were not some damn token of love. He gave them to her out of guilt after rejecting her advances.

Over the years, Jonathan had kept his distance from her.

She hadn't gone to Chloe to apologize; she had gone to provoke her!

Chloe, on the other hand, either didn't notice or didn't care, showing remarkable grace and tolerance.

Even when she asked Giselle to return the necklace, she did so in a way that gave Giselle an easy way out.

Was Chloe so magnanimous because she no longer had feelings for him?

Jonathan stood at Chloe's door, his brow furrowed, feeling utterly lost.

Just then, Elsa sent another message on WhatsApp.

[Uncle Jonathan, maybe it's time to let Chloe go.]
