Chapter 169 Vincent is Taken Away

"What? Vincent got snatched by Elsa!" Elsa was floored.

The nursing home needed guardian info when you checked in, and visitors had to register with ID and get the guardian's okay.'Someone used fake papers to take Vincent in my name last night!' Elsa thought. 'But why would Vincent just go along with it?'

Elsa checked the security footage. After 8 PM, a stranger wheeled Vincent out. She had a mask on and didn't look familiar. Vincent had a hat on, head tilted like he was dozing—clearly drugged.

Elsa was about to call the cops when her phone rang. Unknown number.

"Elsa, don't bother looking. Vincent's with me. I'll take good care of him," David's voice came through, dripping with fake sweetness. "I just don't know if he recognizes me or if he's used to living with me."

"David, did you drug Vincent?" Elsa's voice shot up. "He just had a heart transplant! Are you trying to kill him?!"

"He didn't cooperate, so we had to use some means. He'll probably make a fuss when he wakes up," David said smugly, making Elsa want to puke.

Elsa shouted, "He's your son, David!"

"And you're my daughter, yet you made me suffer! How could I have a daughter like you?" David yelled, losing it.

"Cut the crap. What do you want?" Elsa was freaking out but forced herself to stay cool. She couldn't show fear or let David think he could control her by kidnapping Vincent.

David remarked, "I don't want anything. You made me unhappy, so I'll make you unhappy. Simple as that."

David had lost his marbles from heavy losses. He wanted to kill Elsa himself. The Miller family was in such a bad state they couldn't even take care of themselves. Margaret came up with the kidnapping idea and arranged for people to take Vincent.

Vincent was Elsa's only weak spot. Controlling him gave them leverage.

"What will it take for you to send Vincent back?" Elsa wished David would drop dead, but with Vincent in his hands, she had to soften her tone.

"That depends on your performance." David let out a creepy laugh, making Elsa's eardrums ache.

Taylor Family Estate.

Margaret walked in with bags of gifts, smiling sweetly.

"Auntie Debbie, these are supplements I bought abroad. They help lower blood pressure. You should try them," she said, handing over the gifts and asking about Debbie's recovery.

Hearing there was no major issue, Margaret sighed in relief and sat next to Debbie, speaking softly, "Auntie Debbie, please don't be mad at Elsa anymore. I know you want me and Luke together, but he doesn't want that. I've accepted it."

Tears welled up in her eyes.

"Luke is just temporarily infatuated with Elsa. Don't worry. He'll listen to me," Debbie said, looking at Margaret's gentle demeanor and thinking of Elsa's proud attitude, which made her even angrier.

Debbie handed Margaret a tissue and comforted her.

"It's not just you. Even the Miller family dislikes Elsa," Margaret said, trying to gauge Debbie's attitude. Seeing her firm stance, she quickly added fuel to the fire.

Debbie sneered, "Luke broke off the engagement because of Elsa. Naturally, the Miller family is unhappy."

"That's not the whole story, Auntie Debbie. You might not know Elsa is also David's daughter," said Margaret.
