Chapter 304 New Grudges and Old Hatreds
Of course, Elsa wouldn't just quit her job because Luke told her to, but it probably won't be long.
Jonathan invested in a women's clothing factory in the suburbs. It's not big, with about 30 workers and two production lines, with a total investment of less than fifty million dollars.
The production lines have been successfully tested and are ready for production.
Elsa wanted to invest her ten million dollars in the factory, and Jonathan proposed a deal: "Why don't you manage it, and I'll give you 51% of the shares."
"Aren't you afraid I'll lose all the money?" After all, she had no experience, and Elsa wasn't confident she would succeed.
Jonathan laughed, "Just consider it a game. If we make money, I'll give you a bigger share; if we lose, it's on me."
Having known Elsa for so long, he had some understanding of her abilities and determination. He believed Elsa could do well. However, at this moment, handling it lightly was the best approach. If he patted Elsa on the shoulder and said she would definitely succeed, it would only add pressure.
Elsa thought about it. Jonathan was a trustworthy person, and following him wouldn't be a loss. She didn't need the ten million dollars right now, and investing it might provide security for her and Vincent's future.
"I'm going back to school next year." This was her most important priority at the moment.
"Of course. Manage it for a year or so, and once the factory is on track, you can leave without worries." Jonathan had considered this as well. He then laughed, "What are you afraid of? If there's something you don't understand, do you think I'd let you mess it up without helping?"
Elsa agreed. After all, Jonathan had invested more money than she had, so he wouldn't completely ignore her.
After a few days of thinking, she agreed.
The factory was set to start operations at the end of next month. LEO Gems required a month's notice for resignation, so she submitted her resignation early.
There were no issues from the company, but Leo kept delaying the approval.
Elsa thought that if the worst came to worst, she would just leave, so she didn't dwell on it.
Although both were design-related, switching fields was challenging. Since she was going to run a women's clothing factory, Elsa took it seriously. Jonathan had hired well-known designers, and Elsa felt that understanding the industry well would make future communication easier.
She no longer needed to pick up Leo, so every evening she either self-studied the basics of fashion design or visited women's clothing sections in major malls to observe trends.
One day, she was staring at an early fall coat when a familiar female voice rang out, "Elsa, you bitch!"
It was Jasmine, who appeared out of nowhere and slapped her!
"Who do you think you are, daring to punish me!" Jasmine was furious, her voice sharp and loud.
Elsa then remembered that Max had told her to deal with Jasmine as she saw fit. Combining old and new grudges, plus the slap from Max, she had punished Jasmine.
Every time Elsa thought about it, she felt satisfied, and this time was no different.
So she covered her face and laughed.
"What are you laughing at? And Jonny, do you think you're worthy of him?!" Jasmine, combining old and new grudges, was furious.
"Of course, I'm laughing because you deserve it. Jasmine, you'd better stay away, or you'll get into more trouble. Whether Jonny and I are a match doesn't matter; he just doesn't like you. Does that make you mad?" Elsa felt physically nauseous just looking at Jasmine and didn't hold back her words.
"I'll kill you!" Jasmine went crazy and started fighting with Elsa.
