Chapter 23 Entangled in Rumors
"Oh." Elsa responded coolly.
Luke called off the wedding which was unexpected for her, and no wonder Debbie reacted so strongly this morning. She thought Luke would go to great lengths to please Karen, but he ended up calling off the wedding himself.
"Luke called off the wedding, so maybe you should let Karen reflect on what went wrong. What do you want from me?" She wouldn't delude herself into thinking that Luke called it off because of her.
"Elsa, what happened before was all my fault. As long as you agree not to bother Luke anymore, I'll pay for Vincent's treatment and introduce you to a good man."
Before David finished saying, Elsa erupted in anger.
She originally thought that David had been completely unaware of Vincent's illness all these years.
