Chapter 118 Saving the Day

The order for the competition was decided by drawing lots, and Elsa ended up with the fourth spot.

Luckily, she still had some time!

Elsa tried to calm herself and kept dialing Liya's number over and over.

"Where's your model, Elsa? It's almost time to go on stage!" The staff member holding Elsa's work was getting anxious.

"Don't tell me you think you can get away without a model just because you're Mrs. Taylor," an intern sneered.

Ignoring the intern, Elsa tried calling Liya's agency again. Still, there was no answer.

Just then, Margaret, the department manager, walked into the backstage area.

"Everyone, get ready and don't mess up. Don't embarrass yourselves up there," Margaret said sarcastically as she passed by Elsa.

Elsa, who had been continuously trying to reach Liya, suddenly hung up and glared at Margaret.

'It must be Margaret's doing,' Elsa thought.

Margaret smirked as she walked away in her red-soled high heels.

The first intern had already gone on stage. Each person had less than 10 minutes to present, and Elsa suddenly had an idea.

"Do you have scissors?" Elsa asked the staff member.

Elsa was wearing a crisp white shirt and a black satin mermaid skirt under her suit. As soon as she got the scissors, she cut off two-thirds of the bottom part of her shirt, revealing her slender waist.

Elsa's work was a metal waist chain made of over a dozen strawberry-shaped clasps in red and white, beautifully crafted.

The waist chain, as an accessory, represented the sensuality of a mature woman, and the red and white strawberry elements added an unexpected touch of cuteness, perfectly fitting the theme.

"So, sexy and cute can really coexist," the staff member couldn't help but exclaim as she watched Elsa put it on.

Elsa was only about 5 feet 4 inches, not as tall as the models who were over 5 feet 6 inches. Her face, compared to the models' chiseled features, was soft and delicate.

Elsa quickly tied up her hair and used shading to create more defined cheekbones and jawline. Fortunately, her waist was quite nice. Elsa looked down at her slender, fair waist and felt very fortunate.

When it was Elsa's turn to step onto the stage, the flashlights flared to life, creating a dazzling effect. She felt as if the audience on both sides of the runway grew silent for a moment.

'What's going on? Is the gap between me and the models too big?' Elsa thought to herself but maintained a calm expression as she walked onto the runway.

Luke, seated deep in the audience, saw Elsa emerge onto the stage. His eyes darkened, and his breath quickened.

Elsa's runway walk was just average, and her height couldn't compare to the models, but her delicate features and beautiful waist made up for it.

Elsa's shirt was cut very short, barely covering her bra, exposing a large section of her fair waist between the shirt and the black mermaid skirt.

Elsa's navel was a beautiful spindle shape, just the right depth, clean and pretty. The strawberry-shaped waist chain hung loosely on her hip bones, exuding a mix of allure and purity that was hard to look away from.

Luke recalled the classic line from the book, Lolita: "My light of my life, fire of my loins. My sin, my soul."

Under the spotlight, Elsa exuded an almost otherworldly beauty.

Now Luke wished he could rush onto the stage, wrap Elsa in his suit, and take her home to cherish her!

This was a sight that only he felt entitled to appreciate, yet here it was, being openly displayed to everyone present.

Luke's face grew darker, and Max, sitting next to him couldn't stay still.

"Mrs. Taylor had booked a model. I don't know what happened," Max explained to Luke in a low voice.

"You don't know? Max. What use are you?"

Max felt bitter inside. No one had said that he needed to take over that task!
