Chapter 184 The Prince
Vincent was cool, just had a sugar crash.
Luke took him home and set him up in the room next door.
Vincent, who spent most of his childhood in the hospital, was super curious about Luke's villa. His eyes were darting everywhere as soon as he walked in.
Both Elsa and Vincent had eyes that sparkled like stars.
"David was so lucky to have such beautiful kids, yet he treated them so badly," Luke thought.
Seeing Vincent happy, Luke smiled and said, "If you want something to eat, ask Lisa."
Vincent needed proper care, so staying long-term wasn't an option. But a few days to keep Elsa company seemed nice to Luke.
However, the thought only lasted until the evening.
Around 10 PM, after finishing his nightly routine, Luke was lying in bed scrolling through the news, but Elsa still hadn't come back from Vincent's room!
Growing impatient, Luke got up and knocked on the door next door.
Vincent had already finished his nightly routine and was lying down, his head peeking out from under the covers with a blissful expression, eyes closed.
Elsa was leaning against the headboard, telling him a bedtime story!
"Does a 17-year-old really need a bedtime story? He's not 7!" Luke thought, feeling a pang of jealousy as he sat on the edge of the bed with a dark expression.
Vincent either didn't hear the door or was too sleepy to notice.
"So, kindness is a very important quality," Elsa wrapped up the story and looked over at Luke.
Luke signaled with his eyes that she should go to bed. Elsa nodded with a smile.
"Tell me another one!" Vincent didn't open his eyes but grabbed Elsa's hand.
Elsa, always doting on him, naturally wanted to fulfill his request. "What do you want to hear next?" she asked.
Vincent thought for a moment. "Tell a story about revenge."
"Alright," Elsa said, and began slowly.
"Once upon a time, a prince studying abroad heard news of his father's death. His uncle not only took the throne but also quickly married his mother. The prince grew suspicious."
Elsa's voice had different textures for different people.
At this moment, she used a warm tone to tell a very cruel revenge story.
Even Luke, who knew the story, was captivated.
They stayed quiet until the end of the story, where the prince also died from poisoning.
Vincent suddenly spoke up, "It's not fair! The prince shouldn't have died."
"What?"
"The prince didn't do anything wrong; he was just avenging his father!" Vincent said.
"Vincent, sometimes the course of events that lead to someone's passing may not be a matter of right or wrong," Elsa explained, speaking to Vincent in a mature manner.
She added, "And from the day the prince decided to avenge his father, he had already put life and death aside. Although he ultimately lost his life, he also killed his enemy. He would think it was worth it."
Even as naive as Vincent was, he could tell Elsa was implying something else. Elsa saw herself as the prince, and David as the prince's uncle!
Vincent suddenly opened his eyes wide. "Elsa, don't be impulsive!"
"I'm just talking about the prince, Vincent," Elsa said calmly.
Luke couldn't listen anymore. He gently lifted Elsa up and said, "Come on, let's go to bed."
