Chapter 311 Leo's Downfall
"Shall we race?" Luke raised his chin at Leo.
Leo smirked, "Are you sure?"
For Luke, it was just a hobby, but Leo was a certified professional racer with awards to his name.
"Cut the crap," Luke's eyes darkened as he got into his car.
With a thunderous roar, the two cars shot out like bullets.
Elsa stood on the sidelines with a cup of cold coffee, watching. For some reason, she felt a vague sense of worry.
"I've always said, Luke is mine," Margaret's voice was filled with undisguised glee.
"Okay."
"Since you're divorced, be sensible and stay far away. Stop trying to make your presence known in front of him."
"Okay."
"No matter how much you try, he won't come back to you. Luke already gave me an early Valentine's Day gift yesterday!"
"Okay."
Margaret was infuriated by these three indifferent "okays" and raised her voice, "Elsa, do you still think you have a chance?!"
Elsa lifted her eyelids, giving her a look as if she were an idiot, "Ms. Collins, have you ever seen someone steal trash from someone else's doorstep and then brag about it? I'm not going to stoop to your level. You can enjoy your little victory. It's so boring to keep going on about it."
Of course, she knew Luke wasn't trash she had discarded, but she had to say it to deflate Margaret's arrogance. If she didn't stoop to Margaret's level, Margaret would just keep barking like a mad dog.
Margaret was about to say something else, but Elsa gave her a contemptuous glance and walked away.
When it came to racing, Luke was no match for Leo. But he was determined, flooring the gas pedal to accelerate.
Leo was equally unwilling to lose to Luke.
They were racing around the track at nearly 300 km/h.
"Luke, slow down! It's too fast!" Even if she didn't understand much, Margaret was terrified by Luke's reckless driving, her face turning pale as she screamed.
Their speed was so fast that they couldn't hear anything from the sidelines.
Luke had been bottling up his anger for days, and all he could think about was winning. He pushed himself harder, driving faster and faster.
Leo initially handled it with ease, but as Luke closed in, he started to struggle. His competitive spirit kicked in, and he gritted his teeth, refusing to let Luke pass.
Elsa initially watched coldly from the side.
Hearing Margaret's screams, she realized something was wrong.
She ran to get a megaphone from the staff and shouted into the track, "Slow down! Leo, slow down!"
She didn't call out to Luke; he wouldn't listen anyway.
Luke heard Elsa's voice. She was telling Leo to slow down; she was worried about him!
His heart ached, and he pressed the gas pedal even harder.
Elsa watched Luke's car, her heartbeat quickening, feeling short of breath.
This lunatic! How could he be so reckless?
"Luke! You're insane!" She finally couldn't hold back when he accelerated around a curve.
Leo watched as Luke's car, almost on one side, sped around the curve so fast the wheels were nearly invisible, getting closer and closer until it overtook him.
The roar of the engine and Elsa's helpless screams filled his ears.
Leo's eyes darkened, and as Luke's car overtook him again, he made a sharp turn to the side.
"Leo!"
"Leo!"
Elsa's screams echoed in his ears as Leo closed his eyes, a smile forming on his lips.
