Chapter 106 Nora, you are my woman!
Nora was crouched over the toilet, vomiting in agony. The contents of her stomach had long been emptied, leaving only stomach acid to be expelled.
She vomited for quite some time before finally calming down. Nora sat weakly on the floor, looking extremely haggard.
Since, three days ago, she had been kidnapped after leaving the the Porter Family mansion. When she woke up, she found herself on a ship sailing on the sea.
Surrounded by endless sea, she was being watched and couldn't escape. She could only wait for the ship to dock before figuring out a way.
Since boarding the ship, she had been vomiting from time to time. She didn't know if it was seasickness or morning sickness.
"Baby, you've suffered with me," Nora placed her hand on her abdomen, murmuring guiltily.
Suddenly, loud noises could be heard from outside. Nora furrowed her brow in confusion. What was happening? Nora immediately stood up and walked out of the room to investigate.
Although she had been kidnapped onto this ship, those who had kidnapped her believed she couldn't escape from the ship and didn't restrict her freedom on board.
Besides the cockpit, Nora could go anywhere else. Nora ran to the deck and saw many people rushing out, looking up at the sky.
Nora followed their gaze and saw over a dozen helicopters circling above the ship.
At this moment, everyone on the deck was in a panic.
Somebody remarked, "Why are there so many helicopters in the sky? And more helicopters are coming, it seems like they are targeting us, they have been following us for quite some time!"
One questioned, "We haven't done anything wrong, why are so many helicopters coming?"
Another asked, "Could it be pirates?"
Someone pointed out, "Pirates wouldn't use helicopters to rob."
The crowd discussed fervently, but no one knew why these helicopters were there. Just then, several smoke bombs were dropped from the helicopters.
Thick smoke rose on the deck. People coughed violently, unable to open their eyes.
Nora stood at the edge of the deck, and when she saw the smoke bombs coming down, she hurried back to her room to avoid the danger.
Nora sat nervously in the room. Hopefully, the newcomers weren't pirates or assassins. Otherwise, it would be difficult for her to escape on this ship.
Just as Nora was feeling anxious, she heard hurried footsteps outside the door.
Then, the door was violently pounded. With a bang, the door was pushed open. Nora's heart sank as she looked towards the door.
When she saw who was standing there, her nervousness and panic disappeared, replaced by shock and disbelief.
"Mortimer? Isaac?" Nora said in disbelief.
The people standing at her room's door were Mortimer and Isaac! Following them was their bodyguard.
"How did you both end up here?" Nora asked and was incredibly shocked.
At first, Nora had fantasized that someone would come to rescue her. But as the ship sailed further away, she had given up hope of being rescued and planned to escape on her own once they docked.
Nora never expected Isaac and Mortimer to show up together, let alone find her in this place.
"Nora!" Mortimer called out, relieved.
Mortimer walked into the room excitedly, wanting to get closer to check on Nora's condition. But before he could take more than a couple of steps, Isaac pushed him aside.
Isaac strode up to Nora, examining her from head to toe. "How are you? Have you been mistreated these days?" he asked.
Nora shook her head blankly. Although she was uncomfortable on the ship, no one had treated her inappropriately.
Isaac breathed a sigh of relief. He grabbed Nora's hand, holding her delicate hand tightly in his, as if afraid she would disappear again.
Isaac said, "I'll take you home."
Nora's heart trembled slightly. Isaac's unexpected appearance surprised her. At that moment, a hint of excitement flashed through her when she saw him. But knowing that Katie had sent her here, any gratitude Nora felt towards Isaac vanished instantly.
Although it had nothing to do with Isaac, Nora couldn't help but direct her anger towards him. Nora pulled her hand away from Isaac. Ignoring his bewildered look, she walked over to Mortimer.
"Mortimer, how did you know where I was? How did you find me here?" Nora asked. She tried to ignore the cold gaze behind her and looked at Mortimer with joy.
Mortimer smiled warmly and reached out to tidy up her disheveled hair.
He explained, "I couldn't reach you for several days, so I sent people to investigate. After a thorough search, we finally located you."
He asked, "Have you been mistreated these days?"
Nora said, "No one has mistreated me, they just kept me trapped on the ship, not allowing me to leave."
Mortimer chuckled, "That's good."
He offered, "Let me take you home first, and we can talk more after we get back."
"Okay." Nora nodded. She followed Mortimer outside. When they reached the door, Wesley stopped her.
"Nora, Isaac has been looking for you day and night for three days without rest. How can you be so indifferent to Isaac?" Wesley remarked.
He added, "Isaac even almost cut ties with the old lady for you..."
"Shut up, don't say anymore!" Isaac coldly interrupted Wesley. He didn't need to play the victim in front of Nora!
Wesley was very resentful, but seeing Isaac's anger, he dared not speak further and could only sullenly keep quiet.
Mortimer glanced at Isaac, then gently said to Nora, "Isaac has indeed been looking for you these days, he's very worried about your safety."
`
Nora clenched her fists tightly, suppressing the bitterness in her heart, and said coldly, "Even if he cares, so what? I was kidnapped by Katie's people.
"Katie even planned to sell me abroad, preventing me from ever returning home, making me suffer in F country for the rest of my life.
"Just because Isaac looked for me, should I be grateful to him?"
Mortimer narrowed his eyes, a hint of coldness flashing rapidly in his eyes. Katie wanted to sell Nora? That was unforgivable! If she dared to harm his Nora, he wouldn't show any mercy!
"What did you say? Katie wants to sell you abroad?" Isaac asked in shock. He had no idea about this. He thought Katie just wanted to send Nora abroad so he couldn't see her. He never expected Katie to be so heartless.
"You can ask the captain, he personally told me," Nora said sarcastically. Isaac clenched his fists tightly, his face alternating between pale and red.
Mortimer said tenderly, "It's okay, I'll be more cautious in protecting you in the future, and won't let you encounter danger again."
Nora smiled, and remarked, "It's none of your concern, you have no obligation to protect me."
Nora suggested, "Let's leave, I don't like staying on the ship."
Mortimer didn't say anything more, he supported Nora as they walked outside.
Isaac watched their intimate actions, emitting a cold aura, a hint of ferocity in his eyes. He quickly stepped forward, grabbed Nora's hand, and forcefully pulled her back to his side.
"Ah..." Nora's body uncontrollably collided into his arms, letting out a startled cry.
"Nora, remember your identity, you are mine, where do you think you're going?!"
