Chapter 406 About Her

Rylan was silent; he didn't know how to explain his relationship with Sophia.

Rhys spoke, "No matter who you are to Sophia, you can't go into the operating room!"

Rylan frowned, then why could Nora go in?

At this moment, Nora came over after changing into sterile clothes.

After Nora entered the operating room, Rhys directly closed the door.

Nora asked, "How can I help?"

Rhys uttered, "Talk to her for a bit."

Nora nodded and walked briskly to the operating table.

Looking at Sophia, her nose tingled, and tears welled up in her eyes, "Sophia, you promised me you would grow old with me, you can't break your promise."

Rhys kept staring at the heart monitor.

After Nora spoke, the ECG showed significant changes, and Sophia's heartbeats became stronger.

He guessed right, Sophia responded to Nora's call!

Nora gave Sophia a will to live!

Rhys spoke, "Good, just keep talking to her, say anything, just let her hear your voice."

Nora kept talking non-stop.

Rhys also began operating on Sophia.

The surgery lasted an hour.

After the surgery, all of Sophia's vital signs were stable, even better than someone who had just undergone major surgery.

The doctors who had previously helped resuscitate Sophia all called it a medical miracle.

Although Sophia's condition had stabilized, she had just undergone major surgery and had been issued several critical condition notices, even almost giving up treatment. Now that Sophia was stable, they were still afraid of any unexpected situations, so she was sent to the ICU for observation.

Watching Sophia being sent to the ICU, Nora remembered Sophia's child.

When she saw Sophia, Sophia's belly had already flattened.

Was the child in her belly still alive?

Nora stopped the doctor who had previously operated on Sophia and asked, "What about Sophia's child? Is it still alive?"

The doctor replied, "The child is still alive, but..."

Nora pressed, "Just say it, don't hesitate!"

The doctor scratched his head and answered awkwardly, "The child was taken out of the incubator this morning and handed over to the child's father, who then seemed to have someone take the child away."

"The child's father? Who?" Nora frowned even more.

She knew exactly what had happened to Sophia back then.

Sophia herself didn't know who had a sexual relationship with her for those seven years, let alone who the child's father was. How could a child's father suddenly appear now?

"Well... where did he go? He was just here!" The doctor looked around, not seeing Rylan, and scratched his head in confusion.

Nora looked around; everyone was still there except for the man she found somewhat familiar.

At this moment, she calmed down and suddenly remembered where she had seen that man before.

She had seen that man at the art studio!

He had come to order a painting and specifically requested that Sophia paint it herself.

"The man in black, about 6.3 feet tall, with a mole under his eye?" Nora asked tentatively.

"Yes, that's him!" The doctor nodded, "His name is on the baby's birth certificate, and he signed all of Sophia's critical condition notices."

Nora was shocked.

That man was Sophia's child's father?

How did he find Sophia?

Why didn't Sophia tell her?

To be honest, Nora had a bad impression of that man.

Although Sophia was framed and set up by Cole back then, that man gave Cole money and maintained a sexual relationship with Sophia for so many years without her knowing.

He couldn't be a good person either!

Nora's face instantly turned ugly, and she asked in a deep voice, "What's his name?"

The doctor didn't hide it, "The birth certificate and the critical condition notices are signed with the name Rylan Reed."

Nora frowned, "Rylan Reed? Why does that name sound familiar?"

Isaac, who was beside her, explained, "A famous entertainment mogul in the Horizonia entertainment industry, the president of DK Entertainment Inc."

The Porter Group was the only field that hadn't really ventured into the entertainment industry.

Now, DK Entertainment Inc. was dominating the entertainment industry.

The entertainment industry was booming, one of the fastest money-making industries, and Rylan's financial power was not to be underestimated.

Nora remembered.

She didn't pay much attention to the entertainment industry, but it was hard to avoid some entertainment news when surfing the internet.

The name Rylan probably left an impression on her when she saw it online, which was why it sounded familiar.

"How could it be him?"

Nora frowned, filled with doubts.

Someone like Rylan, what kind of woman couldn't he have? Why would he do something so awful?

Now that Rylan was gone, she couldn't confront him directly. She could only wait until Sophia recovered to ask her what had happened.

Nora stayed at the hospital with Sophia.

Isaac saw that Nora didn't want to talk to him, so he left a few bodyguards to protect her and then left the hospital.

Sophia stayed in the ICU for twenty hours before being transferred to a regular ward.

Nora immediately walked into the ward to stay by Sophia's side.

Sophia was already awake.

Considering her body hadn't recovered yet, Nora didn't ask her about Rylan, fearing it would upset her.

Right now, nothing was more important than her health.

As for those questions, they could wait until Sophia was better.

"Sophia, you scared me to death. Why didn't you tell me your location so I could save you?" Nora held Sophia's hand, choking up.

Thinking about the despair of not finding any news about her all night, Nora was still terrified.

She didn't dare think about anything at the time, fearing something had happened to Sophia.

Fortunately, Sophia was still alive now.

"I'm sorry, I was out in the wilderness, far from the city. I didn't know where I was. I thought even if I told you, you wouldn't find me and would only worry. I didn't want you to worry about me even in death, so I didn't say anything. Don't be mad." Sophia said guiltily.

Moreover, she was kidnapped to the wilderness and worried the kidnappers were still around. If Nora came looking, she might be harmed by the kidnappers.

How could she let Nora put herself in danger for her?

She would rather face death in the wilderness, even if her body was never found, than risk Nora getting hurt.

But Sophia didn't say these words out loud.

If she did, Nora would think she didn't consider her a friend and would be even angrier.
