Chapter 317 Nora Is Angry
After more than half an hour, the office door finally opened.
Nora was about to ask a question when Gregory smiled and said, "You should take Magnus home first. If you have any questions, we can discuss them online."
Nora then swallowed the question.
It was indeed inappropriate that discussing the condition in front of the kid..
She gratefully said to Gregory, "Thank you, I'll be leaving now." Then she took Magnus's hand and left the office.
When they got to the parking lot, she saw that Isaac and Soren were not in the car. And she called Isaac. "Where are you and Soren?"
Isaac said, "We're at a coffee shop near the hospital. Are you done? I'll bring Soren back now."
Nora replied, ' "Okay."
Isaac returned with Soren after more than ten minutes. And he handed two cups of juice to Nora.
One for Nora, one for Magnus.
However, when Nora took the juice and handed one cup to Magnus, Magnus slapped the juice.
The juice spilled all over the ground immediately.
"I don't need your fake concern!" Magnus said angrily.
Nora took a deep breath, suppressed her anger, and said in a deep voice, "Look behind you, go ask the cleaner for a broom and mop, and clean this up before we leave."
Magnus bit his lower lip, looking stubborn.
Seeing that he wasn't moving, Nora walked directly behind him, grabbed his hand, and controlled him to pick up the juice cup from the ground. Then she dragged him to the trash can and threw the trash away.
"Let go of me, you bad woman, let go of me! You have no right to control me!" Magnus struggled hard.
After forcing him to pick up the trash, Nora took a pack of tissues from the car, placed them on the juice, and pressed Magnus's hand to wipe the floor clean.
Magnus cried and screamed, but Nora didn't soften at all.
Isaac just watched from the side.
Magnus was indeed too rebellious and needed some discipline. They couldn't let him do whatever he wanted.
Soren was a bit scared and hid behind Isaac.
After the floor was cleaned, Nora let go of Magnus.
Magnus's face was full of tears, and he was panting with anger.
Nora's face was expressionless.
Isaac took out a bottle of water from the car and helped Nora wash her hands. "Don't be so impulsive in the future, don't harm your health by getting angry," he said softly.
Nora nodded. After cleaning her hands, she got into the car.
Soren quickly followed, climbed onto her lap, wrapped his little arms around her neck, and kissed her on the cheek. "Mommy, don't be angry. You won't be pretty if you're angry."
Nora forced a smile and rubbed Soren's head.
Isaac also got into the car.
Only Magnus was left outside the car. The back door was open, waiting for him to get in. But it seemed that because no one called him, he stubbornly stood outside the car.
Nora didn't call him either for she was also angry.
Isaac wasn't in a hurry either, handling work on his laptop in the car.
Nora held Soren, and Soren kept trying to cheer her up.
Magnus saw that everyone was busy with their own things and ignoring him, and he felt like a joke, getting even angrier. He then walked away by himself.
Isaac put down his laptop and slowly drove the car, following him.
After leaving the parking lot, Magnus continued walking alone along the roadside.
Isaac kept driving behind him.
Neither of them was willing to back down.
Until a patrolling police officer passed by, saw a child walking alone by the roadside with a car following him, and worried it might be a kidnapper, stopped them.
Nora then got out and explained the situation to the police.
The police verified their identities and confirmed that they were indeed mother and son, so they didn't take them to the police station. "Educate your child at home. Letting a three-year-old walk alone on the road is very dangerous. What if a car comes by and doesn't see him and hits him? Children don't understand, but you adults should."
Nora was so embarrassed by the police's words that she didn't say a word in rebuttal.
"Hurry up and get the child in the car. Whatever the issue is, educate him properly at home. But remember, educating a child should be done verbally. Don't use violence." The police added.
Nora could only nod awkwardly. Then she brought Magnus into the car.
No one spoke in the car.
Isaac drove them home.
After getting home, Magnus ran off to play by himself.
Nora didn't try to persuade him. She then sat on the couch, messaging Gregory about Magnus's diagnosis.
Nora: [Mr. Morgan, has Magnus's diagnosis come out? What exactly is his issue? Is it confirmed to be a split personality?]
Gregory might have been busy. It took a while for him to reply.
Gregory: [He doesn't have a split personality. In fact, he doesn't have any mental issues.]
Nora: [How is that possible? If he doesn't have a split personality, how can his personality change so drastically? And he acts like he's never been to places he's visited many times before. If it's not a split personality, how do you explain these issues?]
Gregory: [Please don't get agitated. I suspect Magnus has psychological issues. Sometimes that can be severe enough to affect behavior, including memory. This might be why his memory is disordered or incorrect, causing him to forget things he's experienced before. Psychological issues can also lead to sudden personality changes.]
Nora stared at her phone in a daze.
Could psychological issues be better than mental issues?
Gregory: [But I feel his psychological issues have been present for a long time. Based on my tests, it seems like he's been hostile towards the world and everything in it since he could remember, filled with animosity. I also found that he's particularly sensitive to the word 'abandonment', which acts like a switch for him. As soon as he hears it, he becomes extremely agitated. I'm wondering if he was abandoned before, causing a psychological shadow?]
