Nora's eyes were full of shock.
She had deliberately blocked Magnus's view at the time, preventing him from seeing Isaac and Amara.

"Mr. Porter said he loved us, but he stayed with that lover."
Soren said with a sob, "I'm sorry, Mommy. I couldn't bring Mr. Porter back. Those two days I secretly ran out of school on purpose to go to Mr. Porter's house to find out information and drive the lover away."
"But I was useless and couldn't do anything right. I couldn't win Mr. Porter back."
Nora was even more shocked.
She didn't expect that Magnus and Soren had known for a long time and even tried to win Isaac back?
They were so sensible that it made her heart ache.
Nora hugged Magnus and Soren tightly, tears streaming down her face.
"Mommy, don't be sad. Without Mr. Porter, you still have us. We will always love Mommy. Mr. Porter may betray Mommy, but we never will!" Soren said in a sweet childlike voice.
She said it very seriously and firmly.
Magnus said sullenly, "I won't like Mr. Porter anymore. I only like Mommy."
"Mr. Porter is a liar. Since he likes the lover, let him be with the lover. Soren and I will always protect Mommy!"
Magnus used to like Isaac a lot.
There was even a time when Magnus's affection for Isaac surpassed his affection for Nora.
But since he got sick, Nora had been at home taking care of him. Seeing Nora worry and cry for him, his previous prejudices against her disappeared.

Magnus hummed twice, burying his head in her arms, not speaking.
Nora let out a long sigh of relief.
She originally thought that after knowing he couldn't call Isaac "Daddy" anymore, Magnus would throw a tantrum, protest by not eating or drinking like before, and his mood would affect his health.
She didn't expect him to be so calm and even comfort her.

At least his condition wouldn't be affected by Issac's departure.
"Alright, let's eat first. If we delay any longer, the food will get cold," Nora said while wiping their tears.
Magnus and Soren nodded in unison, looking very obedient.
Nora gently rubbed their little heads, having two such well-behaved and obedient children was enough for her.
Although Magnus and Soren behaved very sensibly and didn't keep asking for "Daddy," Nora could still see their sadness and loneliness.
To help them recover their spirits quickly, Nora agreed to their request to have Mortimer come over every day to accompany them.
Mortimer's presence filled the void left by Isaac's departure.

She and Mortimer took Magnus and Soren to a nearby mall.

They took the paints and sat at a round table, using their imagination to color the plain white ceramic sculptures.
Nora smiled as she watched them paint, not interfering, just letting them use their imagination. She only helped them pour the paint.
Mortimer was busy taking photos with his phone, capturing the warm and beautiful moments.
But most of the time, his camera was focused on Nora.
Nora was so focused on Magnus and Soren that she didn't notice, but someone passing by the store did.
