Chapter 429: Apologize to Isaac
Nora's words seemed to turn into invisible sharp blades, stabbing Mortimer's heart again and again.
He didn't even realize that he had done so many things to hurt Nora.
"Nora, I'm sorry, it was my fault. I shouldn't have hurt you and Magnus."
"Everything I did was because I loved you so much. I wanted to use every means to keep you by my side, but I ignored your feelings."
"I was really wrong."
"I promise I won't do anything to hurt you and the children again. Can you give me a chance to make thing right?"
Mortimer looked at Nora cautiously.
Nora sneered, "You don't love me at all. You just can't stand losing. You want to compete with Isaac, so you always compare how I treat you and Isaac."
Mortimer shook his head and denied urgently, "Nora, I love you. I've loved you for a very long time."
"For you, I can give up everything, endure everything!"
"Even if you are with Isaac, I am willing to continue to protect you, as long as you are happy."
"You know how dedicated I've been to you all these years. I even willingly helped you raise your children!"
"You can doubt anything, but you cannot doubt my love for you!"
Ever since he hypnotized Nora and coaxed her into marrying him, he couldn't hide his feelings for her anymore.
Therefore, he didn't continue to hide it.
Nora questioned, "If you really love me, would you let me take medicine that could cause brain damage? That medicine could turn someone into an idiot, do you know that?"
"If you really love me, how could you hurt my children? You know better than anyone how much I love them!"

Mortimer clenched his fists tightly, his body trembling slightly.
Nora continued, "Maybe you do have a little love for me, but it doesn't mean much in your heart. It's not as strong as your desire to win."
"To beat Isaac, you can sacrifice my health, hurt me without hesitation, and harm the people I care about!"
"Mortimer, you don't understand love. You are not worthy of talking about love!"
"Don't use love as an excuse for your bad deeds!"
Nora took a deep breath and pointed towards the gate, "Get out!"
"I don't want to see you again!"
"From now on, stay away from my children!"
Mortimer's heart tightened, and panic flickered across his face, "Nora, you promised me that no matter what happened, we would always be good friends, and you wouldn't shut me out."
Nora laughed, "You can consider me a traitor."
"I can't continue to be friends with someone who has hurt my children!"
"Not stabbing you is already considering our past relationship."
"But my feelings for you end here!"
Mortimer's face turned pale, and his body trembled slightly.
"Someone, escort Mr. Radcliffe out. From now on, he and dogs are not allowed inside!" Nora didn't want to hear his nonsense anymore and shouted towards the gate.
Soon, bodyguards rushed in and surrounded Mortimer.

Nora ordered sternly, "Take him away!"
The bodyguards immediately prepared to act.
Mortimer gave a bitter smile, pushed away the bodyguards who were about to act, and left in a disheveled manner.
His usually steady steps were now unsteady and stumbling.
After Mortimer leaving, the courtyard was so quiet that the sound of falling leaves could be heard.
Nora closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and suppressed the anger still swirling in her heart.
At the gate, Isaac watched Mortimer's dejected figure and couldn't help but laugh gleefully.
Nora finally saw right through Mortimer's fake front!
After leaving the gate earlier, he was in a bad mood and called Rhys to have a drink with him.
But just as they sat down, Nora called Rhys away to check on Magnus.
Isaac was worried about Magnus's condition, so he followed.
But because he had just had an argument with Nora, he didn't want to go in and face her, fearing another argument, so he waited in the courtyard for Rhys to come out and update him.
But after waiting for a while, he saw Nora and Mortimer come out.
He immediately hid at the gate.
Then, he heard their argument.
Isaac was almost overjoyed.
It turned out that Nora wanted to check the surveillance footage last night to expose Mortimer, not to monitor him.
Seeing Nora still sad, he felt he shouldn't be so happy.
But he couldn't help it.
He used to feel so uncomfortable seeing Nora trust and defend Mortimer so much.

She cried so sadly last night because she found out what Mortimer had done.
Isaac adjusted his mood and walked out.
"Nora, what happened between you and Mortimer? When I got here, I saw the bodyguards escorting him out. Did you order it?" Isaac pretended not to know.
Nora wiped her tears, glanced at Isaac, and then shook her head, "It's nothing, we just ended our friendship."
Isaac showed a surprised expression, "Weren't you always close? Why did you suddenly end your friendship?"
Nora explained, "I found out the truth about Magnus's injury."
Isaac pressed his lips together and said nothing.
Nora looked into his eyes and spoke seriously, "Isaac, I'm sorry. Magnus's injury was not your fault, it was Mortimer's doing."
She wanted to bow to Isaac, but before she could, Isaac stopped her.
Isaac comforted her, "You don't have to be so formal with me. It makes me uncomfortable and anxious."
She was being too distant, treating him like a stranger, which made him both uncomfortable and uneasy.
Nora replied calmly, "Given our current relationship, it's better to be polite."
