Chapter 145 Infuriate One at a Time
Isaac said, "On the day you had the accident, I had Wesley start investigating. These are the pieces of evidence Wesley has collected over this period. I have him release them."
Nora showed a hint of shock in her eyes.
It was Isaac!
Nora composed herself and gratefully said, "Thank you on behalf of Sophia."
"Just a thank you?" Isaac raised an eyebrow with a faint smile.
Nora said, "How about I treat you to a meal?"
Isaac replied, "Not sincere enough."
Nora said, "Then how about I bow to you?"
Isaac twitched his mouth hard, thinking, 'What on earth is going on in Nora's mind?'
Isaac sighed and said, "I'm hungry. Can you make me something to eat?"
Nora nodded, "Alright, I'll go prepare it and call you when it's ready."
After leaving the study, Nora first went back to the guest room, planning to share the good news with Sophia.
She knocked on the door. "Sophia, it's me. Can you open the door?"
Soon, the door opened.
Before Nora could speak, Sophia excitedly hugged her and said, "Nora, I don't know which angel exposed Cole and Ivy's misdeeds. Now, no one is cursing me anymore. They're all cursing Cole and Ivy!"
Nora smiled and said, "It is Isaac who has someone clarify things. I come to tell you this news."
Sophia looked surprised. "Was it him? How should I thank him?"
Nora replied, "He says he is hungry and asks me to prepare some food for him. Consider it a way to repay him."
Sophia said, "Then I'll help!"
Nora nodded.
Then, the two of them went downstairs together.
Katie and Kalista were still downstairs.
Seeing Nora come down, Katie showed a look of disgust.
Having glanced behind Nora and found that Isaac wasn't following, Katie dared to speak, "Nora, let's talk!"
"I have nothing to say to you," Nora said coldly.
Katie shouted angrily, "How dare you speak to me with that attitude?!"
Nora sneered. "To someone who has harmed me twice and almost ruined me, what kind of attitude do you expect?"
"You!" Katie was furious.
Nora said coldly, "The only reason I'm not holding a grudge is out of respect for Edmund, not because I'm afraid of you. But my patience has its limits. Tolerating you twice is my limit. If you insult or harm me again, I won't hold back. If you don't want to be infuriated by me, don't initiate conversations with me in the future because I can't say anything nice to you."
"You!" Katie turned red with anger. "You've got some nerve. On the Porter family's turf, you dare to talk to me like this. Do you think just because Isaac is protecting you, I won't do anything to you?"
Nora mocked, "How could I think that? I always know you are selfish and self-centered, completely disregarding Isaac and Edmund's attitudes. You're taking their respect for you as a license for your unreasonable behavior. Because you know that no matter how big a mess you make, Edmund and Isaac won't do anything to you and will always solve problems after you. For instance, do you know how much the Porter Group has lost because of the trouble you caused this time? From what I understand, the losses have exceeded fifty billion dollars. This is all you are doing. Are you satisfied?"
Katie shrank her pupils, showing disbelief.
'Does the Porter Group lose that much?' Katie pondered.
Katie knew this incident had a big impact but didn't expect it to be this significant!
Katie turned pale, her whole body trembling violently.
"Nora, shut up! The Porter Group was clearly ruined because of you. How dare you blame it on Grandma Katie? If you hadn't resisted on camera, failed to clarify things afterward, and even had Mortimer call the police, the Porter Group wouldn't have been affected!" Kalista angrily accused.
Nora laughed in exasperation.
A group of people almost humiliated her. Did Kalista blame her for resisting when she was about to be humiliated?
What a joke it was!
Was Nora supposed to look like she was enjoying it, making people think she willingly participated in a live-streamed humiliation?
Nora looked at Katie with a faintsmile and said, "I see why you can accept Kalista. She's just as brainless and shameless as you are. You two are the same kind of people, so you get along well."
"You..." Katie started coughing violently in anger.
Nora watched coldly, completely indifferent.
"Nora, do you really want to anger Grandma Katie to death? Apologize to her right now!" Kalista shouted furiously.
Nora sneered. "If anyone should apologize, it's her to me. For everything she's done to me, even if she dies from anger, I won't feel the slightest bit of regret. If you don't want to be infuriated by me in the future, then stop coming to talk to me. My respect for you has been completely worn out. From now on, anything I say will only be harsher than this."
After warning them, Nora went to the kitchen.
Once inside, Sophia couldn't help but give Nora a thumbs up. "Nora, you're amazing! You actually dared to say that to Katie. You're my idol!"
Nora smiled bitterly. "No matter how much respect I show her, she would still torment me to death. Why should I continue to make things difficult for myself to please her? No matter what I do, Katie's attitude towards me will always be the same. I might as well make myself feel better."
Nora began to cook seriously.
Her cooking skills weren't great, but they were acceptable.
After an hour, she finally finished.
After Nora and Sophia brought the dishes to the dining room, Nora went to call Isaac.
As she passed the dining room, Nora noticed that Edmund had arrived at some point. Isaac had come downstairs.
At this moment, they were in the living room with Katie and Kalista.
Whatever they were discussing, their faces didn't look good.
"Grandpa Porter, when do you get here?" Nora greeted softly, breaking the silence.
Edmund's expression softened a bit, and he said, "After the last incident, I ordered Katie to stay home and rest, not to go out. But today, Katie sneaks out to cause trouble at Isaac's place while I am out. When I hear the news, I come over immediately. Nora, you stay here at ease. I'll take Katie back right now!"
Katie said unhappily, "I'm just staying at Isaac's place for a few days. How is that causing trouble? Edmund, you can't be this biased!"
Edmund was furious. "Can't you just behave and stop meddling in Isaac's affairs?"
Katie said, "I'll stop meddling as soon as he marries Kalista. Otherwise, I won't give up."
Edmund angrily said, "Isaac's wife is someone who will live with him, not you. Who he wants to marry is his own business. Why are you interfering?"
Katie said, "Then why did you force Isaac to marry Nora three years ago?"
"I am..." Edmund needed to learn how to explain.
Katie forcefully said, "Back then, Isaac listened to you and married Nora. Now, he should listen to me and marry Kalista!"
Edmund angrily said, "Impossible. Even if Isaac agrees, I won't allow Kalista to enter the Porter family!"
Katie retorted, "What's wrong with Kalista? If someone like Nora can enter the Porter family, why can't Kalista? Who is so much better?"
