Chapter 295 The Whole World Hates Him

Nora looked at Magnus and asked in a trembling voice, "Magnus, why did you push Edmund? Was it an accident?"

Although in the video, it looked like he intentionally pushed Edmund. But as a mother, she didn't want to admit this fact.

She selfishly hoped that Magnus would tell her it wasn't intentional, that it just looked that way on the surveillance footage.

Isaac's face was grim, his eyes bloodshot with anger. If Magnus weren't Nora's child, he might have already taken out his anger on him for hurting Edmund.

Under everyone's gaze, Magnus pouted and innocently said, "I was just curious and gave him a little push. I didn't expect him to be so careless and fall."

Nora's pupils contracted, and she looked at Magnus in disbelief. "Haven't I told you many times to be careful when playing with Edmund, not to touch him? Why did you still push him on purpose? Do you know you almost killed Edmund?" Her eyes reddened with anger, and tears streamed down her face.

Isaac's body radiated a murderous intent.

Wesley, standing nearby, was also trembling with rage, ready to grab Magnus.

As soon as Isaac gave the order, he would immediately take Magnus away.

Even though Magnus was just a child and couldn't be held criminally responsible. But anyone who hurt Edmund had to pay the price!

Seeing Isaac's grim face and Wesley's fierce demeanor, Nora instinctively shielded Magnus behind her. She took a deep breath and looked at Isaac with a pained expression. "Isaac, I'm Magnus's guardian. It's my fault for not educating him well, which led to this incident. The mistake he made, I will bear the consequences. No matter how you want to retaliate against me, I have no complaints. I just hope you can spare Magnus. He's only three years old." She genuinely felt that she had a significant responsibility for Edmund's accident.

Isaac's fists clenched tightly, making a cracking sound. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and tried to suppress his anger.

After a while, he gritted his teeth and said, "Take him away from my sight immediately, before I lose control!"

Nora's heart tightened. She looked at Isaac with a struggle.

Then she said nothing and left with Magnus.

Isaac looked terrifying now, as if he would turn into a demon at any moment.

Nora, in the end, took Magnus and Soren back home.

Soren was scared, her face pale and bloodless, her small body trembling uncontrollably.

Magnus, who had done something wrong, was not only unafraid but also showed no remorse.

Nora took Soren into a room and said in a deep voice, "Stay in the room for a while. I need to talk to Magnus." After speaking, she stood up and prepared to leave.

Soren grabbed her clothes and timidly asked, "Mommy, will Edmund get better?"

Nora thought of Rhys's words, and her heart ached. But she still nodded. "Yes, he will get better."

Soren then asked, "Will Mommy blame Magnus?"

Nora pressed her lips together and said, "If you do something wrong, you have to bear the consequences. Even if he's not old enough to be held criminally responsible, he still has to bear the responsibility he can."

Soren wanted to plead for Magnus, but thinking of Edmund's fall, she couldn't bring herself to say anything.

"Mommy, Magnus has changed," Soren looked up, her eyes red, and said to Nora in a choked voice, "He wasn't like this before, but recently he's been acting strange, not only distancing himself from me but also intentionally pushing Edmund today. When Edmund used to come to play with us, Magnus always told him to be careful."

The more she spoke, the sadder she became. Tears streamed down her face. "Mommy, how can Magnus go back to the way he was? I liked the old Magnus, not the current one."

Nora could only squat down again, hugging Soren with a heartache, not knowing how to comfort her. She couldn't guarantee that Magnus would go back to the way he was.

Outside the door, Barrett watched them in the room through the crack, his eyes filled with hatred.

No one liked him, except for Mortimer.

So, he had to work harder to help Mortimer.

Nora comforted Soren in the room for a while. After Soren calmed down, she let go of her and walked out of the room seeing Magnus sitting calmly on the sofa.

"Magnus, come with me. I have something to ask you," She said sternly.

Magnus stood up expressionlessly and followed her.

After entering the room, Nora closed the door. Then she looked at Magnus. Seeing his indifferent expression, she felt a surge of anger.

She thought, 'He had caused such a big trouble, yet he showed no remorse! When did Magnus become so cold and heartless?'

She suddenly had an urge to hit someone. But she took a deep breath, forcibly suppressing her violent emotions. "Tell me, why did you push Great-Grandpa?" she asked in a deep voice.

Magnus pressed his lips together and didn't answer.

Nora's voice grew heavier, and she asked again, "Speak up!"

Magnus pouted unhappily and said, "He was in my way and didn't stand properly."

Nora's eyes reddened with anger, her body trembling uncontrollably. "Just because he was in your way, you think you can push him?"

Magnus didn't answer.

Nora gritted her teeth and asked, "Did you push him on purpose?"
