Chapter 420: Even if Nora hates her, she can't listen to her this time.

Isaac asked in a deep voice, "Did Magnus personally tell you that he woke up because of Mortimer?"

Nora replied, "Magnus can't speak right now, so of course, it wasn't him who said it."

Isaac asked, "Then how are you sure he woke up because of Mortimer?"

Nora replied, "Last time Rhys checked on Magnus, he said it might take a long time for him to wake up. But this time, when Mortimer came to see him and said a few encouraging words, Magnus woke up."

"If it wasn't because of Mortimer, then what was it?"

Isaac said, "That was just a coincidence."

"Rhys never said definitively that Magnus would take a long time to wake up. He could have woken up at any time."

"Magnus waking up when Mortimer visited him was just a coincidence."

Nora shot back, "You are biased against Mortimer. It's normal for you to deny his value in Magnus's heart."

Isaac laughed angrily, "The so-called value you speak of is just your opinion. There's no real proof that Magnus woke up because of him. You're the one who is truly biased."

"You just take everything he says at face value. Whatever he says, you think it's right. Whenever something good happens, as long as he's there, even if it has nothing to do with him, you attribute it to him, thinking it happened because of him!"

Nora's face darkened, "Are you saying I'm blind?"

Isaac took a deep breath, suppressing his anger, and said in a deep voice, "I don't want to argue with you. You can continue to trust him, see him as a good person, even a god. I can't change your mind."

"But I won't let him get close to Magnus again!"

Isaac looked at Wesley, who was standing not far away, and ordered sternly, "Wesley, bring some people and throw Mortimer out of the estate right now. Pass on my order that Mortimer is not allowed to step into the estate again, no matter who brings him!"

Wesley replied, "Yes, I'll arrange it right away."

There were many bodyguards at the gate.

Wesley quickly brought in a dozen bodyguards and surrounded Mortimer.

"Mr. Radcliffe, will you leave on your own, or do you need our help?" Wesley asked politely.

Mortimer glanced at Isaac and sighed, "Since Isaac doesn't want me here, I'll leave."

Then he looked at Nora and said apologetically, "I'm sorry, Nora, I can't fulfill your request to stay and encourage Magnus."

"But even if I can't be by Magnus's side, I will continue to pray for him."

"Magnus is a lucky child; he will be fine. You don't need to worry too much."

After saying that, he prepared to leave.

Nora reached out and grabbed Mortimer, not letting him leave.

She angrily looked at Isaac, "Isaac, can you stop being so selfish? You're putting your own grudges above Magnus's well-being, just to push away his support."

"Magnus has already suffered so much because of you. Isn't that enough? Do you want his life?"

Isaac's face darkened. He forcefully grabbed Nora's hand, making her let go of Mortimer, and then kicked Mortimer out.

Mortimer stumbled a few steps, almost falling to the ground.

Wesley and the others immediately blocked the way, leaving only the path to the door, "Mr. Radcliffe, please."

Mortimer glanced at Nora and then turned to leave.

It wasn't until Mortimer was far away that Isaac let go of Nora's hand.

Nora raised her hand and slapped Isaac across the face, her eyes red as she questioned him, "Isaac, is it because Magnus isn't your child that you don't care about his life? Do you actually hope he dies?"

Isaac looked at Nora in shock, a trace of pain surfacing in his heart.

She actually thought of him as so malicious.

"Whether you believe it or not, I never wanted Magnus and Soren to die, regardless of whether they are my children."

Nora's lips curled into a mocking smile. She didn't believe Isaac's words at all.

He said he never wanted to hurt Magnus and Soren.

But his actions had always caused Magnus and Soren to get hurt.

Magnus and Soren were fine before, but now they were both injured.

Isaac walked towards the hospital.

Nora, worried he might harm Magnus, followed him.

This was Isaac's place. She couldn't stop him from approaching Magnus, so she could only follow and stay vigilant to prevent him from hurting Magnus again.

Rhys was still examining Magnus, so they could only wait in the office for the results.

Nora sat in a chair, feeling very anxious.

Isaac poured a glass of water and placed it in front of her, "Your lips are dry. Have some water."

Nora coldly pushed the water away.

She didn't want to accept his kindness.

Isaac had hurt Magnus, driven away Mortimer, whom Magnus liked, and kept mistresses at home.

She had no good impression of him now.

Isaac didn't mind. He found a place to sit down, silently lowering his eyes to hide his emotions.

He knew that driving away Mortimer would make Nora angry and even more disgusted with him.

But he had to do it.

Mortimer had set him up to kick Magnus into serious injury. He couldn't let Mortimer get anywhere near him again.

He was afraid something might happen to Magnus again.

For Magnus's safety, he wouldn't allow Mortimer to get close to him.

Nora and Isaac waited for about an hour before Rhys finally finished examining Magnus.

He returned to the office with the examination results.

"How is Magnus?" Nora asked anxiously.

Isaac also looked at Rhys nervously, his eyes full of expectation.

Rhys smiled, "He's fine. His physical sensations are still there. As long as he undergoes proper rehabilitation, he can recover to normal levels."

"Fortunately, it was just a spinal fracture and didn't damage the spinal cord. Otherwise, not even God could save him."

Nora and Isaac both breathed a sigh of relief.

Rhys continued, "But he can't get out of bed yet. He needs to stay in bed for at least one to two months until his spine stabilizes. Resting in bed is better for him right now."

Nora asked nervously, "Magnus can't speak now. Is it because of the injury? When will he recover?"

Rhys replied, "It's not because of the injury. It's a psychological issue."

Nora was puzzled, "A psychological issue?"

Rhys nodded, "Yes, he must have been frightened, which caused the muteness. Once his emotions stabilize, he will be able to speak again."

Nora instinctively looked at Isaac, her eyes cold.

Magnus was mute because he was frightened. Was it because he was scared by Isaac's kick?
