Chapter 399: Isaac's Trap
Isaac replied, "If you want to go, then go."
Liora was overjoyed.
She knew it, Isaac must like her.
If he didn't like her, how could he so easily agree to let her move in with him?
She should have made the first move when they first met, then she wouldn't have wasted so much time with him, and Amara wouldn't have had the chance to get close to Isaac.
Thinking about how Amara had been dating Isaac and using tricks to seduce him recently, Liora was furious, feeling that her man had been desecrated!
Liora calmed herself and said gently, "So when are you leaving? I'll go back tonight and pack my things, arrange everything at the company, and then I'll leave with you."
Actually, there was no need to arrange anything at the company.
She had been grounded by Sylvie for a while, and her work had long been taken over by someone else, so there was no need for her to make any arrangements.
Thinking about how easily her work had been replaced, and that no one had even come to her for any information, Liora felt deeply hurt.
Could it be that, as Sylvie said, that she was just dispensable to the company?
Was her ability really that average?
No!
She wouldn't admit it!
She was the most outstanding businesswoman, a female elite in the business world!
She was excellent enough to attract Isaac's attention.
The reason the company didn't come to her for information was because she usually did things meticulously, everything was arranged perfectly, and others could understand it at a glance, so there was no need to ask her.
This just proved her excellence from another angle.
After comforting herself, Liora's emotions finally stabilized.
The thing she couldn't accept the most was others doubting her ability.
During the meal, Liora secretly took a photo of Isaac dining elegantly with her phone, and when Isaac wasn't paying attention, she also took a selfie of them.
Then, she posted it on Facebook.
Caption: "Had a great chat with Isaac about the business world. His insights are truly one of a kind, just like I expected! He even agreed with some of my views, truly a meeting of minds!"
She nervously blocked Isaac from seeing the post, afraid that he would see it and think she was as boastful as Amara, which would greatly hurt his impression of her.
But she had been watching Amara show off for a long time, she couldn't help but feel the urge to get back at her.
Now that she finally had the chance, how could she give up?
After the meal, Isaac returned to the hotel.
Liora went home by herself.
Sylvie had been waiting for her in the living room.
Seeing her return, she put down her phone and asked eagerly, "How did it go with Isaac tonight? How did he treat you?"
Liora curled her lips into a confident smile, "We really hit it off! We had a lot in common and had a very pleasant conversation, it felt like we had known each other for a long time."
"By the way, he invited me to go back to Aridonia with him, and I agreed. Anyway, the company doesn't need me right now, so I figured it'd be a great chance to learn from him."
Sylvie was full of surprise, she didn't expect Liora and Isaac to hit it off so well, and that Isaac would actually suggest Liora go back to Aridonia with him?
It seemed that Liora and Isaac were a better match.
Liora said, "Mom, since Isaac mentioned he doesn't like Amara and wants me to go back with him, it proves he has chosen me. Shouldn't you call Amara back and stop her from seducing my future husband?"
Sylvie nodded, "Yes, since Isaac has more feelings for you, there's no need for Amara to waste time on him."
""But remember, you don't have much experience with men and no dating experience, be careful not to be controlled by a man. You can ask Amara for tips on how to keep a man in line."
Liora scoffed, "Isaac is different from other men. Amara spent so much time and still couldn't make Isaac interested in her, how could she possibly know how to control Isaac?"
"I know how to get along with Isaac, you don't need to worry, just wait for our wedding!"
Sylvie thought about it and felt that Liora had a point, so she didn't say anything more.
Sylvie was just about to contact Amara to tell her that Isaac had chosen Liora and that she should return to Viridonia tomorrow and not waste time in Aridonia.
But before she could make the call, Liora received a call from Amara.
Liora answered the call and put it on speaker.
As soon as the call connected, Amara's sharp voice came through the phone, "Liora, you shameless woman, how dare you use underhanded tactics to seduce Isaac while he was visiting the family!"
"He is my man, your future brother-in-law, how can you be so shameless to seduce my husband?"
"You always act so high and mighty, but behind the scenes, you're so cheap, you're such a hypocritical woman!"
"I warn you, you'd better be sensible and stay away from Isaac, don't think about seducing him, he is mine!"
"If you keep this up and try to steal my man shamelessly, don't blame me for being rude to you!"
Liora sneered, "Amara, what right do you have to scold me? When it comes to being shameless, I'm not even in your league!"
"Isaac is not interested in you at all, it's you who shamelessly tried to seduce him!"
Amara screamed, "What seduction? I was selflessly sacrificing myself for the family!"
Liora mocked, "If you really cared about the family's interests, then you should immediately go back to Viridonia and never approach Isaac again!"
"Because Isaac has already chosen me."
Amara sarcastically spoke, "Liora, are you crazy? How could Isaac choose a woman like you who doesn't understand romance? Are you out of your mind? Are you hallucinating?"
"Don't think that just because you used despicable means to trick Isaac into having a meal with you, it means he has chosen you."
"I've had meals with Isaac dozens of times more than you, if he were to choose, he would choose me!"
Liora wasn't angry, but sarcastically said, "Of course, it's not just because I had a meal with Isaac that I think he chose me."
"The reason I dare to say this to you is that Isaac himself told me he likes me more than you."
"He also agreed that when he returns to Aridonia tomorrow, he will take me with him."
Amara didn't believe it, "No way, I don't believe it!"
At this moment, Sylvie chimed in "Amara, what Liora said is true, you should return to Viridonia tomorrow."
Amara's voice stopped abruptly.
After a while, she trembled and stammered, "How is that possible?"
"How could I lose to Liora?"
"I don't believe it, it must be fake, you must be teaming up to deceive me!"
Sylvie replied, "If you don't believe it, let Liora send you the evidence later."
Liora directly hung up the phone, then sent a portion of her chat history with Isaac from last night to Amara.
There was no reply from Amara.
But Liora could guess that Amara must be furious.
She was extremely pleased.
Little did she know, she had already fallen into Isaac's trap.
