Chapter 160 Isaac Confesses to Her
"I am very clear-headed right now, and I know exactly what I'm doing!" Nora's cheeks were flushed, her voice small but persistent.
She hooked her arms around Isaac's neck and kissed him again.
Isaac's breathing grew increasingly heavy.
Under Nora's initiative, Isaac finally stopped restraining himself and took control of the situation.
The rain outside the cave grew heavier, but it couldn't cover the sounds of intimacy within.
The dim firelight stretched their entwined shadows long and far.
After a passionate encounter, Nora was drenched in sweat. Miraculously, her body temperature returned to normal.
Isaac held her on his lap, touched her forehead, and laughed lightly. "To stay healthy, you really need to 'exercise' more."
Nora was burning as she buried it in his chest, letting out a playful hum.
Since the exercise he was talking about was different from the conventional kind, she didn't want to discuss it with him.
Isaac releasde his smile as he watched her shy look.
Playing with Nora's smooth hair, Isaac smiled and said, "You are the one who forcefully took me just now, so you have to take responsibility for me."
"How is it forceful? You are clearly very willing," Nora muttered softly.
Isaac raised an eyebrow. "Even though I am more proactive later on, you start it first, so you still have to take responsibility."
Nora asked, "How do you want me to take responsibility? Shall I give you money?"
Isaac pinched her buttocks as a punishment. "Do you think I'm a prostitute that you can just pay me off?"
Nora's cheeks turned red, and she said, aggrieved, "Can't you just talk without using your hands?"
Isaac glanced at the spot he had pinched, noticing a red mark.
"How delicate! The slightest touch leaves a mark." Isaac looked at the numerous red marks on Nora's body, a pleased smile tugging at his lips.
These marks were all left by him like stamps on her fair skin, which dominantly declared that Nora was his woman.
"Stop looking!" Nora turned crimson, shyly shrinking her body.
Isaac chuckled softly, restraining the predatory look.
He looked at Nora seriously. "Since you forcefully took me, you have to take responsibility. From now on, we're dating again, and you have no right to object."
Nora's heart was pounding as she shyly nodded.
Halfway through nodding, she suddenly stopped the joy on her face fading.
"What's wrong?" Isaac asked with concern.
Nora bit her lip, saying, "Kalista is still pregnant with your child. If you date me, won't you be abandoning her and the baby?"
Isaac asked with a smile, "Are you jealous?"
Nora pursed her lips and said sulkily, "What right do I have to be jealous? I have a boyfriend myself."
Saying this made Nora even more depressed.
Isaac now had Kalista, while she had dated other men. She wasn't pure anymore.
She couldn't go back to the past with Isaac.
"Don't overthink it. I never touched Kalista," Isaac said seriously.
Nora looked shocked. "How is that possible? If so, how is she pregnant?"
Isaac said, "I don't know how she got pregnant, but I can swear I never touched her. At the night you drugged me, before I went back to the room, Rhys came to see me. He noticed I was drugged and gave me an antidote."
Nora was utterly shocked.
He had known in advance that she had drugged him.
"That night, you and Kalista were in the room making noise," Nora said.
That night, she had listened outside the door all night, clearly hearing Kalista making sounds.
'Isaac had been in the room the whole time. How could they not have had a relationship?' Nora pondered.
Isaac said, "I have Rhys prepare a kind of hallucinogen that makes Kalista think her dream is reality."
Nora was dumbfounded. "So was Kalista dreaming that night. Couldn't she tell it was a dream?"
"Yes." Isaac nodded seriously.
Nora's mind was in turmoil.
She couldn't tell if Isaac was telling the truth or not.
Isaac frowned, his eyes growing colder. "I don't know how she got pregnant, but given her current stage, we should be able to do a DNA test. When we get back, I'll test the baby's DNA to prove it's not mine!"
Seeing how serious he was, Nora believed him.
"What about before?" Nora hesitated.
Every time they fought, Isaac would go to Kalista, even staying overnight.
Although they had agreed that he wouldn't have a relationship with Kalista during their marriage, who knew what happened in private?
Besides, Kalista had hinted many times that she and Isaac had been intimate.
Isaac flicked her forehead lightly, saying, "You silly girl, can't you think straight? If I want to be with her, would she have conspired with you to drug me and force me to be with her?"
Nora was stunned.
What Isaac said did make sense.
When Kalista proposed the plan, she wondered the same thing.
But she hadn't thought much about it at the time.
Isaac continued, "When we argue, I would tell you I am staying at her place just to make you angry. In reality, I am with friends. You can ask Nigel and Harold. When I don't come home after our argument, I am usually with them."
Nora felt a mix of emotions and thought, 'Isaac has never touched Kalista. He has remained faithful. But I...'
Nora suddenly felt incredibly guilty to accept Isaac's love.,
"Why do you still look unhappy? Don't you believe me?" Isaac asked.
Nora shook her head.
She lowered her head and said bitterly, "You and Kalista are fake, but my boyfriend is real. I'm not worthy of you."
Isaac knocked her head gently. "What nonsense are you thinking? You got a boyfriend after our divorce. No matter what happens, you do nothing wrong."
Moreover, her so-called boyfriend was actually himself. Isaac darkened his eyes.
He struggled internally, wanting to tell Nora the truth but fearing she would feel deceived and get angry.
"Do you really not care?" Nora asked in disbelief.
Isaac composed himself and said seriously, "As long as you promise not to betray me while we're dating, I won't hold anything from the past against you. Let's put the past behind us and start fresh."
