Chapter 274 Nora, Is That Okay?
Desire was like a flood, impossible to hold back.
"Nora, is this okay?" Isaac suddenly paused, his eyes bloodshot and filled with restraint. His breath brushed against her as he spoke.
Nora shivered, her face turning bright red. She bit her lip and closed her eyes, embarrassed.
No answer. But no refusal either. That was a yes in his book.
Isaac's eyes lit up with joy, his blood boiling. He leaned in to kiss Nora again.
Just then, a voice came from outside the door.
"Mommy, where are you? I'm thirsty," Soren called out.
Nora snapped back to reality and pushed Isaac away.
She quickly threw on her pajamas. With a flushed face, she darted out of the room.
She didn't look back at Isaac, not because she didn't want to, but because she couldn't.
Luckily, Soren had gone to the living room instead of coming straight to the room.
If she had seen them, she wouldn't know how to explain it!
"Soren, Mommy's here," Nora called out, trying to steady her voice, though it came out a bit hoarse.
Soren rubbed her sleepy eyes and walked over. "Mommy, I'm thirsty."
Nora was startled to see Soren without her mask. She quickly picked her up and, before Isaac could come out, carried her back to her room. "Wait here, I'll get you some water."
"Thank you, Mom," Soren nodded.
Nora walked out and found Isaac already holding a glass of water.
"Thanks."
Just as she was about to close the door, Isaac grabbed her wrist. His deep eyes, still tinged with red, looked at her intensely. "Are you coming back?"
Nora's face heated up, and she looked down. "No, I'm going to sleep. You should rest too."
"Alright, goodnight," Isaac said, a hint of regret in his voice, but he didn't push it.
She closed the door with a bang, shutting him out. Only then did she feel relieved. She carried the water back to Soren.
After drinking, Soren looked at Nora curiously. "Mommy, your face is so red. Are you sick?"
Nora touched her cheeks and said, "I'm just hot. Don't worry, go to sleep."
Soren lay down but kept looking at her. "Mommy, why did you come out of Daddy's room? What were you doing?"
Nora's mouth twitched awkwardly. "Nothing, we were just talking about your school."
"Oh," Soren said, not doubting her and closed her eyes. She was only three. Even if she had seen them, she wouldn't know what it meant.
Nora sighed, feeling relieved.
Thankfully, Soren interrupted them, or she might have really gone all the way with Isaac.
She still had feelings for him. But the rift was still there.
That night, Nora had another erotic dream. At such a young and vigorous age, plus kissing a man so handsome and well-built every day.
Magnus and Soren had been in school for a week.
When the weekend came, Isaac took them to the family amusement park again.
Last time, they hadn't even finished half the activities, so they went back to continue.
Nora's stomach pains had been acting up more often lately.
While packing, she poured some painkillers into a small bottle to take with her.
"Mommy, what are you doing?" Magnus's curious voice came from behind as she was packing the medicine.
Nora jumped, dropping a pill on the floor.
She quickly picked it up and used her body to block the drawer, not wanting the kids to see the medicine and worry. "Nothing, just looking for a hair clip. Go play with Soren for a bit. I'll keep looking, no big deal."
"Okay." Magnus then turned to leave the room.
Nora let out a sigh of relief.
That was close.
Luckily, Magnus didn't notice anything.
After she finished packing, the four of them set off.
Soren was super excited, calling 'Daddy' and 'Mommy' non-stop along the way.
Even Magnus got caught up in Soren's excitement and joined in.
Nora had initially been against letting Magnus and Soren call Isaac 'Daddy'.
But seeing them so happy, her resistance melted away, leaving only warmth in her heart.
Forget it, let them experience having a father.
At the amusement park, there was a parent-child ball-throwing competition.
Nora and Isaac signed up with the kids.
Nora and Soren threw the balls, while Isaac and Magnus held a basket to catch them.
"Daddy, Magnus, lower down, I can't throw high!" Soren said.
"No... honey, to the left, move a bit to the left!" Influenced by Soren, Nora also started directing while throwing.
Hearing her call him 'honey' repeatedly, Isaac's eyebrows almost reached his temples, and the smile never left his face.
In the distance, a graceful and noble figure stood behind a large tree, his cold eyes fixed on the competition.
As he watched, his expression grew darker, eventually turning icy.
One hand hung by his side, while the other gripped the tree trunk so hard that he stripped a large patch of bark, his fingers bleeding.
But he didn't care, still staring intently at the family of four on the field.
Nora's calls and the children's cheers were incessant.
Each 'honey' and 'daddy' was like a sharp thorn, mercilessly piercing his heart, causing unbearable pain.
"Nora, have you reconciled with Isaac and let the kids acknowledge him? You actually call him honey and let Magnus and Soren call him daddy. Have you forgotten the harm Isaac caused you? And aren't you afraid Daxton will come after Magnus and Soren?" Mortimer muttered to himself as he watched the happy family.
The competition continued.
After Nora's family finished, other families took their turns.
In the end, Nora's family won first place without a doubt.
"Mommy and Daddy are amazing, we got first place again!" Soren and Magnus said.
"You kids are amazing too. Without your cooperation, we couldn't have won first place!" Nora laughed and then hugged them.
In her joy, she seemed to forget the unpleasantness between her and Isaac and hugged him too. "Honey, thank you~"
Isaac chuckled, "I'm not that weak, this little exercise isn't tiring." His words seemed to have a deeper meaning.
Nora rolled her eyes at him.
Isaac laughed even louder. He glanced towards a certain tree, but it was now empty, the person gone.
A look of mockery appeared in his eyes.
Mortimer, even if you escaped from Equinoxia, you won't take Nora away!
This time, no one will take his woman!
