Chapter 517 Seen by Nora

Amara covered her mouth tightly, trying not to cry out, but she was trembling with anger.

Isaac wanted her to have the baby just to use the baby's cord blood to treat the child he had with Nora!

If he didn't need the cord blood from the baby in her womb, would he have allowed her to give birth to this baby?

He was so anxious today, not because he cared about her, but because he was worried that something might happen to the baby in her womb, and then the child he had with Nora would be doomed.

So, even if she gave birth to the baby, Isaac wouldn't marry her?

He used her pregnancy as an excuse to delay the wedding, not because he was worried about her, but because he never intended to marry her!

Isaac, how heartless he was! No, he didn't have a heart at all! How could he treat her like that?

Even if she had schemed against him, it was because she loved him so much and wanted to be with him so badly that she conspired with Mortimer against him. How could he treat her like this?

Amara's eyes were filled with pain and hatred, but she didn't hate Isaac.

It was all because of that woman, Nora! If Nora hadn't captivated Isaac's heart, Isaac would have definitely fallen for her!

In terms of status and position, she and Isaac were a perfect match. What was Nora compared to her?

Amara's eyes darkened as she glanced at Isaac's back, then quietly left.

Even though she had overheard this cruel truth, she didn't dare to rush out and confront Isaac.

She was afraid that if things got too tense, it would be even more impossible for her and Isaac to be together.

At least now, Isaac would occasionally show her some tenderness and care for the sake of the baby in her womb.

Isaac chatted with Rhys for a while, then turned back to the hospital, while Rhys went straight home.

When Isaac returned to the consultation room, he saw that Amara had already had her injuries treated and was sitting on a chair outside the consultation room.

Isaac walked up to her and asked, "Are your injuries treated?"

Amara forced a smile and nodded gently, "Yes, they are already treated."

"Isaac, what did you and Dr. Hawkins talk about? Why did it take so long for you to come back?"

Isaac's eyes darkened slightly, and he said in a calm voice, "Nothing much, Rhys and I just talked about some personal matters."

"Since your injuries are already treated, let me take you home."

Amara smiled and nodded but remained seated, weakly extending her hand to Isaac, "Isaac, I'm still in pain and can't stand up by myself. Can you help me up?"

A trace of reluctance flashed in Isaac's eyes, but he glanced at her belly and still reached out, grabbed her arm, and pulled her up from the chair.

As soon as Amara stood up, Isaac immediately let go of her hand.

Amara reached out and hooked her arm around Isaac's.

Isaac's face darkened, and he instinctively pulled his arm away, pushing her aside.

Amara let out a startled cry and stumbled forward.

Isaac's heart tightened, and he quickly reached out to catch her.

Amara took the opportunity to fall into his arms, her face showing a panicked expression as she said aggrievedly, "Isaac, I'm in pain and can't walk steadily by myself. Can I hold your arm while walking? I'm afraid I might accidentally fall again."

His face looked very unpleasant, but he didn't push her away.

He is also worried that Amara might fall and hurt the baby in her belly.

Amara could have an accident, but the baby couldn't.

This was Magnus's last hope, and there couldn't be any mishaps.

Isaac took a deep breath, allowing her to hold his arm, and said in a deep voice, "Let's go, I'll take you home."

Amara happily replied, "Okay, thank you, Isaac."

She smiled happily, but a trace of cunning quickly flashed in her eyes.

Since Isaac had a purpose for keeping the baby in her womb, she wouldn't hesitate to use the baby to control him.

When they reached the hospital entrance, they happened to run into Mortimer and Nora with Magnus.

When Nora looked up, she saw Isaac and immediately stopped in her tracks, her eyes darkening as she looked at Isaac and Amara, her gaze shifting to Amara holding his arm.

She had thought she no longer cared.

But seeing him and Amara being intimate in front of her, her heart still felt like it was being stabbed.

Nora's chest felt heavy, and her heart seemed to be gripped by an invisible hand, making it hard to beat and difficult to breathe.

Isaac also stopped in his tracks, looking at Nora in shock, his eyes filled with panic and confusion. Why was Nora here?

He felt guilty, like a thief, and instinctively wanted to pull his hand back, but Amara held on tightly, and he couldn't pull it out.

Isaac opened his mouth, wanting to say something.

"Mommy, why did you stop?" Magnus, who was being held by Nora, suddenly asked in confusion.

As he spoke, he tried to turn to see what was happening in front of him.

Because he was being held by Nora, his face was facing backward, and he didn't see Isaac in front of him.

Before Magnus could turn around, Nora came to her senses and pressed her hand against the back of his head, stopping him from turning around.

Nora withdrew her gaze and said calmly, "It's nothing, there are too many people, and we couldn't get through. Now we can, let's go."

With that, she carried Magnus towards the hospital entrance.

As she passed by Isaac and Amara, she immediately changed her position to hold Magnus, preventing him from seeing Isaac.

Isaac tightly pressed his lips together, his eyes bloodshot as he watched Nora's back, filled with guilt and pain.

He knew this day would come sooner or later.

Nora would eventually find out about Amara.

But he didn't expect this day to come so quickly and so suddenly.

Nora must be very disappointed in him, right?

So disappointed that she didn't even bother to argue with him or question him.

Mortimer deliberately slowed his pace.

After Nora had walked a distance with Magnus, he stopped in front of Isaac, a gentle smile on his face, "I didn't expect you to have a lover outside behind Nora's back. It looks like she's pregnant too. Is it your baby?"

Mortimer continued, "At this point, if you have any conscience left, I hope you won't continue to entangle with Nora and stop hurting her."

"Nora doesn't owe you anything. You shouldn't continue to torment her after betraying and humiliating her."

Isaac's gaze shifted from Nora's back to Mortimer, darkening as it landed on him.

Mortimer's smile made his anger boil, and he clenched his fists tightly.

"The matters between Nora and me as a couple are none of your business. You should stay away from her and stop pestering her!" Isaac said through gritted teeth.

Mortimer didn't get angry; instead, he chuckled a few times.

"You're holding another woman and still calling yourself Nora's husband. Don't you find that ironic?"
