Chapter 438: She Can Only Bow Her Head
"Since you don't want to make a deal with me, there's nothing more to talk about."
Isaac then hung up the phone.
Sylvie listened to the busy tone coming from her phone and angrily threw it to the ground.
"Damn it, how dare Isaac talk to me like that? He better not think I won't do anything to his son! I'll go kill his son right now, film the whole thing, and show it to him. I don't believe he won't be affected at all!"
Sylvie was so angry that she lost her mind.
She immediately wanted to find Magnus to vent her anger.
"Honey, calm down first," Daxton pulled her back. "If you really harm that child, then Liora and Amara will really die."
"Besides, Isaac is right. That child in his current state is of no value to the Porter family. His death wouldn't be a significant loss to the Porter family."
"It;s not a bad deal for us to exchange a useless person for Liora and Amara."
Sylvie was trembling with anger. "Then how will I get Isaac to marry into the Hansen family in the future?"
"What about the future of the Hansen family?"
Daxton continued, "Now is not the time to dwell on all that. The priority right now is to save Liora and Amara's lives."
"If you don't decide quickly, Liora and Amara will die, and you'll regret it forever."
"Agree to his terms for now. Later, we'll figure out a way to make him willingly marry into the Hansen family."
Sylvie was actually very flustered inside. She was also afraid of running out of time.
She took a deep breath, suppressed her anger, and ordered Daxton, "Pick up my phone."
Daxton got out of bed, picked up the phone, and handed it to her.
Sylvie dialed Isaac's number.
But this time, Isaac took a long time to answer.
When the call connected, Isaac's impatient voice came through, "Why are you calling again? I said there's nothing more to talk about."
Sylvie gritted her teeth, "I agree to your terms. I'll exchange your son and the contract for Liora and Amara. You must immediately arrange for their treatment!"
Isaac's voice was calm, even with a hint of disappointment, "I thought you could help me get rid of that trouble."
Sylvie felt a chill down her spine.
Isaac actually wanted her to kill that child?
So his previous agreement was just an act to gain a good reputation? He was afraid that if she exposed it, it would negatively impact him and the Porter family?
Isaac put away his disappointment, "I'll arrange for people and a lawyer to go to the Hansen Mansion. You hand over the child and the contract to them. Once they leave the Hansen Mansion, I'll have someone start treating your daughters."
Sylvie was extremely anxious, "Can they wait that long? You must start their treatment immediately. I won't go back on my word!"
Isaac replied, "I'll have someone keep them alive, but the actual treatment will start once my people have the child."
Sylvie was furious, "You're so cautious with me, why should I trust you? What if I hand over the child and the contract, and you don't have the doctor treat my daughters?"
Isaac said with a hint of a smile, "Do you want to insist on this? Then let's just forget the deal. I'm not that eager for it."
Sylvie was speechless.
They were so far apart that they couldn't make the deal face-to-face.
If they kept doubting each other, the deal couldn't proceed.
One side had to give in.
In this situation, the one in more urgent need would be the one to give in.
Liora and Amara could be treated mimediately, so Sylvie had to be the one to give in.
Sylvie said in a gloomy tone, "Have your people come quickly!"
After hanging up, Isaac immediately contacted his people in Minnalora to go to the Hansen Mansion to pick up Magnus.
He had never been sitting idly by.
After learning that Magnus was in the hands of the Hansen family, Isaac kept people stationed in Minnalora, always on the lookout for ways to rescue Magnus.
Unfortunately, the Hansen family was like royalty in Minnalora.
Their residential area was very secure, making it impossible to infiltrate or forcefully rescue Magnus.
An hour later, Isaac received a call from his people in Minnalora.
"Mr. Isaac Porter, we have picked up Mr. Magnus Porter. The lawyer is still handling the contract, which needs some procedures to be invalidated."
Isaac ordered, "Arrange a plane immediately to escort him back to Aridonia!"
He remained vigilant.
Magnus was still in Minnalora.
Sylvie could send people to snatch Magnus back at any time.
Only when he saw Magnus return to Aridonia with his own eyes would he be truly relieved.
Griffin said, "Okay, I'll take Mr. Magnus Porter home now. We should arrive around five in the morning!"
After hanging up, Isaac immediately sent people to the airport to wait.
He also contacted Rhys to come over and be on standby. Once Magnus was home, Rhys would check his health.
For Liora and Amara, he also had the family doctor start their treatment.
Isaac stayed in his study, patiently waiting for Magnus to return.
But he couldn't handle any work. Looking at the densely packed words in his email, he couldn't read a single one.
He was both excited and nervous.
He was afraid something might go wrong.
Fortunately, nothing went wrong.
At five in the morning, the convoy that went to pick up Magnus arrived at the villa.
Isaac had been waiting at the door.
When the car stopped, he immediately walked over and personally carried Magnus out of the car.
Magnus was very timid, nervously and confusedly looking around.
Isaac held him in his arms, feeling a deep sense of unreality.
Magnus was really back!
"Magnus, don't be afraid. Daddy will protect you from now on. You won't fall into the hands of bad people again."
"You just need to enjoy life from now on, without any suffering."
Magnus couldn't hear, and he cautiously lay on Isaac's shoulder, sucking his thumb, his round eyes nervously observing everything around him.
His amnesia hadn't healed, so he didn't remember being here before. Everything was unfamiliar to him.
Isaac didn't need Magnus to respond.
He carried Magnus into the villa.
In the living room, Rhys was already asleep on the sofa.
Isaac carried Magnus into the living room and kicked Rhys without hesitation.
"Get up, Magnus is home. Check him to see if he's okay."
He was worried that Sylvie might have secretly poisoned Magnus.
"Can't you wake me up more gently?" Rhys rubbed his eyes, unable to help but complain.
Isaac said in a deep voice, "Check Magnus first. You can sleep after that."
