Chapter 463: Baby, Your Daddy Doesn't Welcome You
The doctor glanced at Isaac and then operated on the keyboard.
A moment later, the doctor said to Nora, "Go get a blood test first."
Isaac frowned.
Nora tugged at his hand, "Go pay the fee, there are people waiting to see the doctor."
Isaac said nothing, went to the payment hall to pay the fee, and then took Nora to get her blood drawn.
Half an hour later, the test results came out, and Nora and Isaac took the results back to the doctor's office.
The doctor quickly looked over the results, then looked at Nora, "You're pregnant. Do you plan to keep the baby?"
Generally, doctors didn't ask if they want to keep the baby at the outset.
Because of Isaac's reaction earlier, the doctor felt that this young couple hadn't planned on having a baby, so he asked.
Nora was still a bit stunned, her mind blank.
She was pregnant?
How was she pregnant again?
After she gave birth last time, the doctor said her body was severely damaged and it would be difficult for her to get pregnant again.
Even if she recovered, the chances of getting pregnant were very low.
But after being with Isaac, how did she get pregnant so easily?
Isaac's face turned extremely grim, a cold aura enveloping him.
Nora was pregnant!
How could she be pregnant?
He had a vasectomy!
So, there was only one possibility, she was carrying another man's baby!
And the only men Nora had been in contact with recently, besides him, were Mortimer and Harold.
Harold was definitely not possible.
Although Harold was a playboy, he wouldn't make a move on his cousin's wife.
If he dared, Isaac wouldn't need to do anything; his parents would beat him.
So, it had to be Mortimer.
Mortimer often used the excuse of visiting Magnus and Soren to go to Nora's house; they had plenty of opportunities and time to have an affair.
Thinking of this, Isaac's eyes filled with bloodshot anger.
How could Nora do this!
Nora was affectionate with him on one hand, and secretly with Mortimer on the other, pretending to dislike Mortimer to deceive him, making him let his guard down, thinking Nora wouldn't do anything with Mortimer.
Mortimer almost killed Magnus, how could she do such a thing with Mortimer?
How could she face Magnus?
Isaac was burning with anger, his aura growing darker.
The doctor, frightened, shrank back and coughed lightly, "Have you made up your mind? If not, you can go home and think about it."
"The fetus is still small, you have some time to decide, as long as you decide within three months."
"Getting an abortion within that timeframe is less risky for the mother; the longer you wait, the more complications can arise."
Nora snapped out of it and said to the doctor, "Okay, we'll go home and think about it."
The doctor nodded, "Alright, if you decide to keep it, come back to the hospital for further check-ups to ensure the fetus's health. We'll check if you need any supplements and make sure you're on track with your prenatal care."
Nora nodded and thanked the doctor, then pulled Isaac out of the doctor's office.
Isaac said nothing, his aura remained heavy.
Even as they walked out of the hospital, his face was still grim.
Nora stopped at the hospital entrance, turned to Isaac, and frowned, "What's wrong with you? Why are you so grim? Are you that angry that I'm pregnant?"
Isaac looked at Nora with deep, turbulent emotions in his eyes, his hands clenched tightly at his sides.
She was carrying someone else's baby, how could he not be angry?
But he was too cowardly to question her loudly, why she betrayed him.
Because he had also been unfaithful.
What right did he have to question her?
"Say something!" Nora stomped her foot angrily.
Isaac lowered his eyes, hiding his dark gaze, and turned to walk away, "I'll get the car, let's go home."
Nora was even angrier.
But she didn't want to argue with him outside, letting others watch the drama.
Forget it, she'll talk to him at home!
The car came over, and Nora angrily got into the back seat.
Isaac glanced at her through the rearview mirror.
As soon as she got in the car, she turned to look out the window, her face full of frustration.
Isaac looked away, stepped on the gas, and drove home in silence.
Nora felt extremely wronged.
Isaac, that bastard!
The car moved slowly and soon arrived at the neighborhood.
After parking, Nora got out first, walking angrily ahead.
She didn't want to talk to Isaac anymore!
But after getting home and waiting for a while without Isaac coming back, she started to worry.
Did something happen to him?
They were already in the neighborhood, such a short distance, it was unlikely something happened.
Nora was about to go out and check when her phone suddenly rang.
It was a WhatsApp message from Isaac.
Nora immediately opened her phone and checked WhatsApp.
Isaac: [There was a call from the villa, something happened at home, I need to go back. I won't come to your place tonight, you rest early.]
Nora angrily threw her phone onto the sofa, feeling a breath stuck in her chest.
She was sure Isaac was deliberately avoiding her!
"Mrs. Porter, do you need us to stay here?" The bodyguards who were called earlier asked politely.
With only Nora coming back, it was inconvenient for a group of men to stay.
Nora suppressed her anger, "You can go back."
The bodyguard politely said, "Alright, we'll leave first. If you need anything, contact us, we're always on standby."
Nora nodded perfunctorily.
After the bodyguards left, Nora sat on the sofa, feeling lost and upset.
Did Isaac really not want her to be pregnant?
Did he dislike babies that much?
If he knew Magnus and Soren were his children, would he be even angrier?
Nora felt very agitated.
She had been hesitating about finding an opportunity to tell Isaac about Magnus and Soren's identities.
But now, she didn't dare to say it.
Isaac didn't want her to have his children!
She was just pregnant, and he was so angry, throwing a tantrum, and avoiding her.
If he knew she secretly gave birth to two children, he would probably be even angrier.
"Why doesn't Isaac like children?"
Nora was very puzzled, no matter how much she thought about it, she couldn't understand.
She looked down at her still flat belly, a bitter smile on her face, "Baby, your daddy doesn't welcome you, what should I do?"
She didn't know if she should keep this baby.
In her plan, she didn't intend to have another baby.
But now that she was unexpectedly pregnant, she couldn't bear to abort it.
And when she gave birth to Magnus and Soren, she had another baby who died at birth, before she even had a chance to see him.
She couldn't shake the thought that maybe the baby didn't want to leave her and was trying to come back.
How could she have gotten pregnant so easily, especially after the doctor had said her fertility was low?
Could it be that her last two pregnancies were that baby's way of wanting to return to her?
