Chapter 210 Isaac, I'm Giving My Life Back to You

Nora froze up, her brain just totally blanking out.

"What did you just say?" She shoved him away, eyes wide with shock.

Isaac's eyes, once full of warmth and love, were now cold and dripping with sarcasm.

"I asked if you were moved," he repeated, not missing a beat.

Nora's face went pale, a shiver running up her spine. She balled her fists, feeling her heart turn to ice.

'What the hell does Isaac mean by this? I don't get it,' she thought.

But one look at his face told her everything—he was mocking her.

"Did you like those sweet words I just said?" Isaac taunted, watching her hurt expression.

Nora stared at him, her body trembling.

"...What do you mean by that? I don't get it," she stammered.

Isaac sneered, "Don't get it?"

"Nora, how can you be so dense? Did you really think I'd forgive you after you cheated? That I'd want to start over?"

Nora's eyes narrowed, her body shaking as she stared at him in disbelief.

'So, his heartfelt confession was all fake? Just to mock me?' she wondered.

"Why are you doing this?" she asked, tears streaming down her face.

Isaac laughed, "Why? To mess with you, to see you fall apart!

"Nora, you owe me, and you'll never pay it back. Even if we divorce, you can't get rid of me. You're stuck with me messing with you for life!"

Tears filled Nora's eyes as she trembled. "Did you pretend to be Steve just to get back at me?"

Isaac sneered, "What else did you think?"

Nora's heart sank, a crushing pain in her chest.

'So, everything he's done was just revenge. I thought he loved me deeply, that he'd be sad if I died. So, he doesn't care if I live or die; he just wants to see me suffer. Maybe he'd be happier if I died,' she thought, heartbroken.

When she was first diagnosed with stomach cancer, she thought three months was too short. She wanted more time to be with the people she loved.

Now, with less than seven days left, she didn't even want to endure those.

Nora looked at Isaac with tear-filled eyes. "Isaac, do you really hate me that much?"

Isaac stared coldly, saying nothing.

But his silence was the best answer.

His actions and words had already given her the answer.

Nora cried, then suddenly laughed.

In utter despair, she pulled a folding knife from her pocket and stabbed herself in the heart without hesitation.

Bright red blood seeped out, staining her white clothes.

Sharp pain and a suffocating feeling hit her, and she let out a painful groan.

"Isaac, I owe you my life. Now we're even. Hope I never see you in the next life!" Nora managed to say, her body swaying before she fell backward.

Isaac was stunned, just staring in shock.

It wasn't until she spoke that he snapped out of it.

Seeing her fall, he rushed over and caught her just before she hit the ground.

"Nora!"

His eyes were bloodshot, and he looked at her with a heart-wrenching expression. "How dare you? I saved your life. How dare you try to off yourself? Without my permission, you are not allowed to die!"

Nora opened her mouth, and blood gushed out.

In the end, she couldn't say anything, closed her eyes, and went completely still.

At the hospital, the emergency room light stayed on from night until the next morning.

Isaac stood outside, looking like a zombie, totally drained.

Mortimer got the news and rushed over in the middle of the night, fuming.

But to keep things calm and not disrupt the hospital, he didn't confront Isaac. Instead, he waited anxiously with him for the results.

It wasn't until almost noon that the emergency room light finally went out, and the chief surgeon came out.

Isaac and Mortimer rushed over.

"How is she?" Mortimer asked urgently.

Isaac stared at the surgeon, eyes intense.

The hospital director felt the pressure, cold sweat breaking out on his forehead.

He wiped the sweat and said with a guilty look, "I'm sorry, Ms. Foster's injury was too severe. The knife went straight through her heart. There's nothing I could do. Please accept my condolences."

Mortimer's face changed. "What do you mean by that?"

Isaac's eyes turned dark, his aura bone-chilling, like he was ready to kill the doctor.

The doctor trembled but mustered the courage to continue, "Ms. Foster... she couldn't be saved and has passed away."

Isaac immediately punched the doctor in the face.

"How dare you curse Nora? I'll kill you right now!"

The doctor was on the verge of tears. "Please spare me. I didn't curse Ms. Foster. I'm just telling the truth.

"You brought Ms. Foster in yourself. You should know better than anyone how severe her injury was. Even Rhys couldn't have saved her in that situation!

"Ms. Foster was stabbed in the heart. When she arrived at the hospital, she had no heartbeat. If it weren't for your insistence, there wouldn't have been any need for resuscitation."

Isaac's face turned extremely dark, and his eyes were filled with murderous intent as he looked at the doctor.

He took a step towards the doctor, ready to hit him again.

Mortimer, however, didn't say much to the doctor and walked straight into the emergency room.

Isaac's expression changed.

He stopped arguing with the doctor and quickly walked into the emergency room.

There were still a few nurses inside. Noticing Isaac enter with a murderous aura, they quickly ran out in fear.

Isaac walked quickly to the bedside and kicked Mortimer aside.

Mortimer was furious. "Isaac, don't push it. You caused Nora's death, and I haven't even gotten to you yet. What are you going crazy for?"
