Chapter 464: "Let's abort this baby, and we'll be just like before."

Nora knew she shouldn't be so superstitious, but she couldn't help overthinking.

After getting angry, Nora sighed helplessly.

Now that Isaac wasn't in front of her, she could only suppress her anger and wait to ask him face-to-face what he meant.

She really didn't want to argue with him over the phone.

Besides, it was late at night, not a good time to argue.

If she woke up Magnus and Soren, she would have to soothe them.

Nora didn't return Isaac's message and went straight to the bedroom.

She lay in bed, unable to sleep.

All night, she couldn't stop overthinking and occasionally had morning sickness.

She barely slept the whole night.

The next day, with dark circles under her eyes, she took the kids to school.

She didn't rush to contact Isaac.

Whoever got anxious first lost the upper hand.

She originally thought of waiting until Isaac came home from work in the evening to talk to him.

But tonight, Isaac didn't come!

Soren asked puzzledly, "Mommy, why didn't Daddy come tonight? Is Daddy working overtime?"

Magnus also looked at her expectantly.

Nora couldn't suppress her anger.

She took a deep breath, suppressed her anger, and forced a smile, "Maybe he's busy today. Let's not wait for him. I'll order takeout, and we'll eat first."

Nora took out her phone and ordered takeout from a delivery platform.

When the takeout arrived, the three of them sat around the dining table.

The takeout was delicious, but Magnus and Soren were picky.

Magnus commented, "It's not as good as Daddy's cooking."

Soren nodded in agreement, "I also prefer Daddy's cooking."

Nora's face darkened further.

Magnus and Soren liked Isaac so much, but Isaac didn't want them to be his biological children.

Nora didn't say anything and ate silently.

As if out of spite, she deliberately ate more to prove that the takeout was more to her taste than Isaac's cooking.

Magnus and Soren only ate a little before putting down their utensils and running off to play games.

Nora felt both angry and helpless.

If Isaac continued like this, she wouldn't let Magnus and Soren interact with him too much in the future, to prevent them from becoming more dependent on him.

Until bedtime, Isaac neither came nor contacted Nora to explain.

Before bed, the kids were still talking about Isaac, making Nora even more frustrated.

For the next three days, Isaac neither came nor contacted her.

Nora, out of spite, didn't contact him either.

She felt it was Isaac's problem, and he should be the one to apologize first.

Why should she apologize and contact him first?

If he didn't want children, he should just say so. What was with the sulking and avoiding her? It was so frustrating.

But Magnus and Soren kept talking about missing Daddy and asking her to take them to see him.

They also went to bed later and later.

When they lay in bed, they said they wanted to hear Daddy tell a story and asked her to call Isaac.

Nora couldn't bear to refuse Magnus and Soren.

On the third night, she called Isaac in front of them.

This time, Isaac didn't deliberately ignore the call.

After a few rings, he answered.

Isaac didn't speak.

Nora didn't speak either.

They were silent for over ten seconds.

Soren suddenly called out sweetly, "Daddy, can you hear me?"

Isaac's deep voice quickly came through the phone, "Yes, I can hear you. Why aren't you asleep yet?"

Soren said aggrievedly, "I miss Daddy so much I can't sleep."

Magnus also said sweetly, "I miss Daddy too. Why haven't you come to see us these past few days? I miss you so much."

Isaac's voice softened, "I've been on a business trip these past few days, not in Aridonia. I'll come see you as soon as I get back."

"It's late. Go to sleep. Kids shouldn't stay up late; it will stunt your growth."

Soren happily said, "It's a promise, Daddy. When you come back from your trip, you have to come see me, Magnus, and Mommy. No lying to kids!"

Isaac chuckled, "Okay, I won't lie to kids. Go to sleep."

Soren was very happy.

Magnus whispered, "Daddy, I want to hear you tell a story. Can you tell us a story to help us sleep?"

Isaac agreed, "Okay, lie down, and I'll think of a story to tell."

The kdis immediately lay down obediently.

"Daddy, Magnus and I are lying down. You can start now!"

Isaac thought for a moment, then his deep voice came through the phone, "Once upon a time, there were three little pigs who left their mother to build homes of their own..."

As Isaac's voice continued, Magnus and Soren's breathing gradually became steady.

Soon, they were asleep.

Nora hadn't slept well for three days. Listening to Isaac's voice, she also felt drowsy.

She originally planned to talk to him after he finished telling the story to the kids.

But before he finished the story, she fell asleep with kids.

When she woke up, it was already the next morning.

She looked at her phone; the call had long ended.

Nora rubbed her forehead.

How did she fall asleep?

Forget it, she'll talk to Isaac when he comes back.

After all, he promised Magnus and Soren he would come see them.

Three days later, Isaac returned from his business trip.

That evening, Isaac finally came to Nora's house.

Magnus and Soren missed him so much after not seeing him for a few days that they clung to him as soon as he arrived.

They even followed him to the bathroom door when he went to the bathroom.

Nora couldn't find a chance to be alone with him and had to patiently wait for an opportunity.

Magnus and Soren clung to Isaac until 11 PM before reluctantly going to bed.

Even in bed, they clung to Isaac's arms on either side, unwilling to let go.

After they fell asleep, Nora sat up and said to Isaac, "Let's go out and talk."

Isaac was silent for a moment, then nodded, "Okay."

He gently pulled his hands out of Magnus and Soren's embrace and got up to go to the living room with Nora.

They sat facing each other.

Nora opened her mouth, about to speak, but Isaac spoke first, his deep voice calm, "Let's terminate the pregnancy."

Nora's eyes widened in shock.

Even though she had guessed from his recent behavior that he didn't like or want this baby.

But hearing him say it out loud, telling her to terminate the pregnancy, her heart skipped a beat, and an indescribable feeling of bitterness spread in her heart.

She clenched her fists tightly, her eyes reddening as she looked at Isaac.

Isaac continued, "Terminate the pregnancy, and we can go back to how things were before."
