Chapter 475: Want a Kiss

Isaac was taken aback for a moment, then smiled, "As long as you haven't done anything illegal or crossed any moral lines, your mom and I will always accept you and love you just the same."

"Of course, even if you did commit an unforgivable crime, it would be on us for not raising you right. Your mom and I would bear the consequences with you."

"We would never abandon you, and we would never stop loving you."

Magnus was only a little over three years old. At this age, if anything serious happened, it would be the parents' responsibility, not the child's fault.

Magnus lowered his eyes, his voice choked, "Daddy, you're so good."

But his eyes were dim, and the anxiety and unease in his eyes not only didn't disappear but grew even more intense.

He had committed a crime.

He had pushed his great-grandfather, causing him to get injured and hospitalized, and he had also hit Soren.

And the real Magnus had disappeared because of him.

At that time, Mortimer asked him if he was willing to take Magnus's place, even though it meant the real Magnus would disappear from the world.

He nodded without hesitation and said he was willing.

It was his choice that led to the real Magnus's disappearance.

Even though he was only three years old, he already understood what disappearance meant.

Disappearance meant death, completely vanishing from this world, never to return.

He knew that Mortimer wanted the real Magnus to die and then have him take Magnus's place, but he didn't hesitate or feel any reluctance.

Instead, he felt relieved, thinking that Magnus deserved to die, and even hoped that Soren would die too.

Because at that time, he felt that Isaac and Nora had abandoned him, keeping Magnus and Soren by their side, carefully nurturing them.

They enjoyed the good life he never had. They were born together, so why was he the only one who suffered?

So, he hoped that his siblings, who had better lives than him, would all die.

After taking Magnus's place, he indeed targeted Soren.

But after spending time with them, he found that his parents were really good people, and he no longer wanted to take revenge on them.

And Soren, she was very cute and kind, and he didn't dislike her at all.

He wanted to live well with them like this forever.

Even if he could never be himself again, it didn't matter if he lived his whole life under Magnut's identity.

But whenever he thought of Magnus, who died because of him, he felt constantly anxious and uneasy.

If Isaac and Nora found out, they would definitely stop loving him and might even hate him.

He had tried several times to tell Isaac, but every time the words were on the tip of his tongue, he chickened out.

He didn't dare to take the risk.

If he told them, the beautiful life he had stolen would be shattered.

After all, the real Magnus was already dead. Telling them wouldn't bring Magnus back, and it would only make his parents sad.

It was better to say nothing and let them continue to happily treat him as Magnus.

He would be a good Magnus, staying by their side in place of Magnus, never letting them discover the truth. He told himself this in his heart.

But no matter how much he comforted himself, he still felt uneasy inside.

That's why he couldn't sleep well every night, often dreaming of being exposed, being hated and despised by his parents, and losing the beautiful life he had stolen.

Isaac looked at Magnus, who seemed troubled, put Soren on the couch, and then picked up Magnus, holding his small body in his broad arms.

"Magnus, I am your daddy. No matter what happens, I will always love you. I will always be your biggest support, ready to help you soar and keep you safe. So, whenever you face challenges or tough times, just know you can come to me. I'll be there to help you through it and show you how to tackle whatever comes your way."

He spoke very seriously.

Magnus listened very seriously too.

But Magnut still didn't dare to tell the truth.

He lay in Isaac's arms, greedily enjoying Isaac's embrace.

Isaac sighed softly.

Why was Magnus still so stubborn?

He had long noticed that Magnus seemed troubled. He kept showing kindness to him to make him rely on and trust him, hoping he would open up.

But after so long, Magnus still wouldn't open his heart.

But it didn't matter; he could wait slowly until Magnus completely trusted him.

They had plenty of time, no need to rush.

Isaac collected his thoughts, gently patted Magnus's back, and said softly, "I need to make dinner now. You play with Soren for a while."

"Okay." Magnus reluctantly nodded and let go of his hold on him.

Isaac put Magnus down from his lap, placed him on the couch, and then went to the kitchen.

Isaac spent an hour preparing dinner for the family.

He brought the dishes to the table and told the kids to wash their hands, while he went to the bedroom to call Nora.

"Honey, dinner's ready."

He walked to the bed, intending to pick up Nora.

Nora quickly put her hand on his chest, pushing him away to keep him from getting close.

"Don't be ridiculous. I can walk by myself; I don't need you to carry me!"

Isaac said softly, "But I need to hold you. I'm so tired from cooking; I need to hold you to recharge."

Nora's mouth twitched, and her cheeks flushed slightly.

"Stop joking around. If you're tired, rest. Carrying me will only make you more tired!"

Isaac said seriously, "Resting takes too long to recover. Holding you is a mental therapy; it doesn't feel tiring and recovers quickly. As soon as I hold you, I'll be full of energy."

Nora rolled her eyes at him, speechless, unable to find a retort.

Isaac looked at her eagerly.

His longing gaze would make even the hardest heart soften.

But Nora didn't want to be carried out by him. If Magnus and Soren saw, they would definitely keep asking questions.

Nora thought for a few seconds, then suddenly grabbed his collar and gently pulled. His body leaned forward.

His handsome face instantly came close to hers.

At such a close distance, his exquisite features had a powerful impact.

Nora felt deeply attracted by his beauty, her heart uncontrollably speeding up.

She quickly kissed Isaac's thin lips.

Blushing, she asked softly, "Recovered now?"

Isaac was stunned for a moment, then couldn't help but laugh, his chest shaking with laughter.

"What are you laughing at?" Nora pouted in dissatisfaction.

Isaac, with a smile in his eyes, gently poked her cheek, "Your kiss was too light, like a feather brushing by, tickling me. I'm ticklish."

Nora didn't believe him.

He wasn't ticklish at all!

Isaac looked at her deeply and said in a hoarse voice, "Kiss me again. One more time, and I'll be recovered."
