Chapter 439 Seeing Nora and Mortimer Meeting in Private
Rhys reached out and took Magnus from Isaac's arms.
Because he had spent a long time with Magnus after Magnus was injured, Magnus did not reject him.
Rhys carefully examined Magnus's body.
"His pulse is steady, no signs of poisoning, and no external injuries. The preliminary check looks good. If we want to know more, we'll need to take him to the hospital for a detailed examination with instruments."
Isaac said, "Take him for the check-up."
Rhys nodded, "Okay, I'll take him to the hospital now."
Isaac followed along.
At the hospital, Rhys began conducting various examinations on Magnus.
They did all the possible tests.
By the time all the tests were done, it was almost noon.
Fortunately, Magnus was fine.
He was neither poisoned nor harmed.
Isaac breathed a sigh of relief.
He picked up Magnus.
Magnus, who had been up all night without sleep, was already extremely tired and fell asleep on Isaac's shoulder as soon as he was in his arms.
Isaac's movements became very careful, afraid of waking him up.
"How is Magnus's previous injury healing?" Isaac asked softly.
Previously, Magnus had been severely injured by electric shocks, which also caused him to lose his memory, and he still hadn't recovered his memory.
He didn't know how well his body had healed.
Although there were no visible injuries on the outside, he didn't know how well the internal injuries had healed.
Before Rhys could answer, Isaac suddenly felt a warm, wet sensation around his waist and abdomen.
His body stiffened.
Looking down, he saw a puddle of water on the ground.
Magnus had peed.
Isaac didn't mind, but his eyes were full of worry, "Is this considered bedwetting? I mean, bedwetting at four is pretty normal, right?"
He tried to comfort himself.
But Rhys shook his head and sighed, cruelly shattering his beautiful illusion, "This isn't bedwetting. It's a sequela of the electric shocks. He still can't control his bladder and bowels properly and hasn't fully recovered."
Isaac's face darkened, and his eyes filled with anger and murderous intent.
He really wanted to kill Liora, that scum!
"Don't worry too much. He'll gradually recover over time. I just checked him, and he's much better than last time," Rhys comforted.
Isaac took a deep breath, suppressing his murderous intent, and said in a cold voice, "Go treat Liora. I want her to pay double for the harm Magnus suffered!"
Rhys nodded, "Okay, I'll go check on her."
He also hated that vicious woman, Liora.
Liora was truly hateful for being so cruel to a child not even four years old!
Not to mention Isaac, even he had the urge to kill Liora when he saw the harm Magnus had suffered!
Isaac looked at his clothes and pants, which were wet with urine and still dripping.
He couldn't just walk out like that, so he asked Wesley to bring a change of clothes for both him and Magnus.
Before Wesley brought the clothes, he had already taken Magnus to a high-end hospital room and cleaned them up in the bathroom.
By the time they finished washing, Wesley had just brought the clothes.
Isaac, worried Magnus would catch a cold, dressed Magnus first before putting on his own clothes.
During this time, Magnus slept soundly, showing no signs of waking up.
Isaac couldn't help but chuckle softly and poked Magnus's cheek.
"You're so careless, sleeping like a rock even after all that washing. You sleep like a log, with no vigilance at all, unlike me."
When he was young, he was very vigilant.
Even when he was asleep, he would wake up easily at the slightest noise around him.
"Maybe you got Nora's personality. That's a good thing. You don't have to live as hard as I did."
Isaac's suspicious and vigilant nature was due to his irresponsible father.
His children shouldn't be like him; they just needed to grow up safely and happily.
Isaac gently picked up Magnus and left the hospital.
Wesley drove the car over.
Isaac was about to get in the car when he suddenly saw two familiar figures.
Isaac's face instantly darkened, and he stared at the two figures with a cold gaze.
"Mr. Porter, what are you looking at? Why aren't you getting in the car? Isn't that Mr. Radcliffe? And the person next to him..." Wesley's voice turned shocked.
"Is Mrs. Porter? When did she come back? If Mrs. Porter is back, why didn't she inform Mr. Porter and instead went to find Mr. Radcliffe?"
Wesley was both shocked and angry.
Nora was being too much.
Isaac was deeply in love with Nora, how could she treat Isaac like this?
Knowing that Isaac hated Mortimer, she still kept in contact with Mortimer.
As Wesley finished speaking, Isaac's face grew even darker.
Isaac handed Magnus to Wesley and said in a deep voice, "Take Magnus home first."
Then he strode towards Mortimer and Nora.
Mortimer and Nora had just come out of the hospital.
Mortimer's car was parked on the other side, a distance away from Isaac, so they hadn't noticed him.
He hadn't seen Mortimer and Nora's faces.
But knowing them well, he could recognize them just by their backs!
Isaac, full of anger, quickly walked up behind them.
He reached out, intending to grab Nora's shoulder.
But Mortimer had already sensed someone approaching them aggressively from behind.
When Isaac's hand was halfway there, Mortimer suddenly turned around and grabbed his wrist.
Seeing Isaac, Mortimer showed a hint of surprise, followed by some tension.
The woman beside him also wanted to turn around upon hearing the commotion.
But Mortimer quickly pressed her head down and ordered in a deep voice, "Don't turn around, don't make a sound, get in the car and let Alaric take you away."
The woman, who had half-turned, turned back and quickly got into the car.
"Nora, stop!" Isaac shouted angrily.
However, Nora didn't stop, not even turning her head.
Isaac shook off Mortimer's hand and tried to chase after Nora.
But Mortimer immediately grabbed his wrist again, "Isaac, stop it. She doesn't want to go with you. Don't force her. We're all adults with the freedom to choose. Stop being unreasonable and forcing others to follow your wishes."
Isaac didn't want to waste words with Mortimer and punched him.
When Mortimer let go, he immediately tried to chase after her.
He didn't want to say anything to Mortimer now.
He just wanted to catch Nora.
And ask her why she was with Mortimer again!
Did she really miss Mortimer that much?
Even after knowing he hurt her son, she still secretly met with Mortimer!
Did Nora have any sense at all?
