Chapter 493: He Changed His Phone Password

Nora's heart sank slightly.

The mindset she had managed to adjust that morning fell apart in an instant.

There was definitely something wrong with Isaac!

What was he hiding from her?

"Mommy, why are you unhappy?" Soren blinked her big eyes and asked her in confusion.

Nora snapped back to reality, hurriedly put away her unpleasant expression, forced a smile, and said softly, "I'm fine, just a bit annoyed that someone chose this time to call your daddy, interrupting his meal."

"Don't overthink it, you guys hurry up and eat."

Soren obediently continued eating without further questioning.

A few minutes later, Isaac returned.

After he sat down, Nora casually asked, "Who called? They kept calling even after you hung up. Was it something urgent?"

Isaac lowered his eyes, took a bite of his food, and vaguely replied, "A friend, nothing important."

Nora looked up at him, "Nothing important, yet they kept calling after you hung up? I don't remember you having such inconsiderate friends."

If it wasn't something urgent, and the other person kept calling after being hung up on, it indeed could be considered inconsiderate.

Not answering could mean being busy or not wanting to answer.

If it was urgent, they could keep calling.

But if it was something trivial, and the other person kept calling after being hung up on, either that person had a problem, or they were very close.

For example, a lover.

Nora pursed her lips, quickly stopping her wild thoughts.

Isaac paused, "He was dealing with some issues and feeling pretty emotional, so he didn't really think it through."

Nora said, "A male friend, and it was something trivial, yet you went out of your way to avoid me to take the call. Are you guys doing something behind my back?"

"When you usually talk about work, even if it's company secrets, you don't avoid me."

Isaac's heart tightened, and he hurriedly said, "I was afraid the negative emotions would affect you. He's been a bit unstable lately, and calling me was to vent those emotions."

Nora smiled, "Really?"

Isaac said seriously, "Honey, don't overthink. My heart belongs only to you."

"No matter what happens in the future, remember, I love you the most, and only you!"

Nora's heart had already sunk to the bottom, and she replied perfunctorily, "We'll talk about it later."

Soren's cute voice suddenly rang out, "Daddy, how can you only love Mommy? Don't you love me and Magnus?"

Magnus also looked up at him, his eyes hurt, "Daddy said you love Mommy first, then great-grandfather and us. Now you only love Mommy, don't you love us and great-grandfather anymore?"

Soren said angrily, "Daddy's love is so short-lived. Mommy, be careful, in a few days Daddy won't love you either!"

Isaac's mouth twitched, and he lightly knocked on Soren's head with a smile.

"You little rascal, how can you sow discord between me and your mommy? I will always love her, even if I don't love myself, I will love her."

He said it very seriously, with no hint of joking.

Soren pouted and said angrily, "Then why doesn't Daddy love me and Magnus anymore? Daddy is a liar!"

Isaac said, "I love you too."

"But my love for you is different from my love for your mommy, that's why I didn't include you just now."

Soren tilted his little head, looking at him in confusion, "What's different?"

In her limited understanding, she couldn't grasp that love could be different.

Isaac smiled, "Even if I explain it now, you won't understand. When you grow up, you'll naturally get it."

Soren nodded, half understanding.

Nora interjected, "Alright, let's eat. No more talking, or the food will get cold."

Magnus and Soren then started eating with focus.

Nora and Isaac didn't speak anymore.

After the family of four finished eating, Isaac began to clean up the table.

Nora saw his phone left on the table, her eyes darkened, and a hint of struggle flashed in her eyes.

She didn't like checking Isaac's phone and had never done it before.

But from yesterday to today, Isaac's behavior had been way too intentional.

She really wanted to know who had called him.

She really wanted to know what secret he was hiding from her!

Nora hesitated for a few seconds, then picked up Isaac's phone.

She remembered his phone password used to be the date they officially started dating.

So many years had passed, she didn't know if he had changed the password.

Nora held his phone and entered the password.

The phone screen showed the password was incorrect.

Nora's heart sank further.

The incorrect password meant that he had changed it.

It seemed some things had indeed changed.

Nora put the phone down and went to the living room.

She took out her laptop and used work to numb herself.

She and Sophia discussed script revisions online, discussing what needed to be changed and how to change it.

Previously, their discussions were always lively.

But today, because of Isaac, Nora was a bit distracted.

Sophia quickly noticed something was wrong and asked: [Nora, what's wrong? can tell you're a bitm distracted today. Did something happen?]

Because she was distracted, it took Nora several minutes to see Sophia's message.

Because she hadn't replied for a while, Sophia was very worried and had sent over a dozen messages asking what was wrong and urging her to respond.

She typed out a whole bunch of words on the keyboard, but then ended up deleting everything. In the end, she just sent a simple message: [Nothing.]

Sophia: [Come on, that's hard to believe. If it was really nothing, you wouldn't have taken so long to reply or been so short with your answer.]

Nora replied perfunctorily, [I was in the bathroom and didn't see your message right away.]

Sophia: [You might be able to pull that over on someone else, but not me. If it was really just because you were in the bathroom, you would have said that right away instead of waiting for me to call you out on it.]"

Nora looked at Sophia's logical analysis and was momentarily speechless.

As she was racking her brain for something to say to placate Sophia, her phone rang.
