Chapter 349 Isaac's Secret Revealed
Nora thought Isaac was right.
Magnus had psychological issues now, and his personality was unpredictable.
He suddenly started liking Isaac, and compared to his previous changes, this wasn't a big deal.
At least this change was good, not like before when he suddenly turned into a bad kid.
Nora felt a sense of relief.
But the next second, she frowned, "But I have a subtle feeling that Magnus is deliberately distancing himself from me. He always wants you to hold him, sits close to you during meals, and only lets you hold his hand when we go for walks."
"Could it be that after he started liking you, he stopped liking me?"
This guess made Nora's heart tighten.
She was selfish; if Magnus could only love one person at a time, she hoped that person would be her, not Isaac.
Although she always hoped Magnus could get along well with Isaac and accept him, she didn't want Magnus's love for her to transfer to Isaac.
Isaac said, "Don't overthink it. How could Magnus not love you? You will always be the person he loves the most."
Nora felt a bit better.
But thinking about tonight's events, she still felt uneasy.
They took Magnus back to the room.
Isaac personally helped Magnus wash up and then put him to bed.
Magnus was asleep the whole time.
He was really tired from playing today.
Isaac looked at Nora, who was sitting by the bed typing on her phone, and said gently, "Honey, you should take a bath too. You’re tired today, so take a bath and rest early."
As he spoke, he glanced at Nora's phone screen and saw that she was searching: [What to do if your son suddenly loves someone else more than yourself?]
Isaac couldn't help but chuckle.
He hug Nora and said with a light laugh, "Honey, you're so cute. You don't need to worry; Magnus will always love you."
Nora's cheeks turned red, like a child caught doing something wrong, feeling a bit flustered.
She bit her lip, "I want to be the one he loves the most!"
Isaac kissed her on the cheek, "It's okay, the person I love the most will always be you. Having my unique love is enough."
"Magnus will get married in the future, and by then, the person he loves the most will be his wife."
"His love for you isn't unchanging, but my love for you is eternal. I will always put you first. "
Isaac was clearly talking nonsense, but her heart couldn't help but race.
Nora, blushing, pried his hands off and shyly ran to the bathroom.
Isaac's smile faded, and worry crept back into his heart.
After hearing the sound of water from the bathroom, he quietly left the room, found a secluded spot, and called Edmund.
After a long time, the call connected.
Edmund's angry voice came through the phone, "You didn't contact me during the day, and now you're calling in the middle of the night to disturb my sleep. This better be urgent, or you'll see how I deal with you!"
Edmund was very angry.
Elderly people don't sleep well, and he had just fallen asleep when Isaac called and woke him up. He was very upset.
If Isaac were nearby, he would definitely give him a beating!
Isaac was silent for a few seconds, then said in a deep voice, "Grandpa, I need your help with something."
Hearing his serious tone, Edmund's anger subsided, and he quickly asked, "What happened between you and Nora?"
Isaac rarely asked for his help unless something very serious happened that he couldn't handle on his own and had no other options.
Isaac said hoarsely, "Soren is missing."
"What?" Edmund's voice suddenly rose, and even through the phone, his anger, shock, and deep worry and unease were evident. "What do you mean Soren is missing? Where did she go? What happened?"
Isaac said painfully, "Today, Nora and I took Magnus and Soren out to play. I looked away for a moment and didn't keep an eye on Soren, letting her leave my side."
"In just that short time, she was taken by traffickers and put into a van."
After careful consideration, Isaac decided not to tell Edmund that Magnus had also been kidnapped, nor did he reveal the truth that Magnus and Soren were his children."
Edmund liked Magnus and Soren a lot. If he knew they were his grandchildren and that Soren was now missing and possibly in danger, he wouldn't be able to handle the shock.
If Edmund got too emotional and something happened to him, it would be a double blow.
"You idiot, you couldn't even watch a child properly? You let Soren get kidnapped right in front of you? Is it because you don't like her, so you didn't pay attention to her? Do you know she's Nora's treasure?"
Edmund was furious.
He thought Isaac was an idiot who didn't like Soren because he didn't know she was his child, so he didn't pay attention to her, giving the traffickers an opportunity.
He almost wanted to tell Isaac that Magnus and Soren were his children.
But at the last moment, Edmund regained his composure, and he didn't reveal the truth.
Nora didn't want to disclose the children's identities, and he couldn't speak for her. Otherwise, she might blame him.
Moreover, Edmund feared that if Isaac knew Soren was his child and that she was kidnapped due to his negligence, he would blame himself and feel guilty, unable to forgive himself.
Edmund loved Isaac the most.
Even though he was angry, he still considered Isaac's feelings.
Edmund took a deep breath and asked, "Did you send people to look for her?"
Isaac said, "I reported it to the police immediately and sent people to search. I also looked for her all afternoon."
"But we haven't found any trace of the traffickers or Soren."
Edmund frowned deeply.
Reporting to the police and sending people to search immediately, yet they still couldn't catch the traffickers.
If they couldn't find her on the first day, the chances of finding her later were slim.
Edmund was very worried.
Suppressing his emotions, he asked, "What do you want me to help with? You can mobilize everyone in the Porter family. You've already sent people to search. What else can I do?"
Isaac said, "I don't dare tell Nora about this. I'm afraid she won't be able to handle it."
Edmund snorted, "I think you're afraid she'll blame and hate you!"
Isaac pressed his lips together and clenched his fists tightly.
He didn't deny it; he was indeed afraid of that.
