Chapter 310 Let's Have Another One

This was the first time Isaac saw Soren's face.

Nora felt a bit nervous, her heartbeat uncontrollably speeding up. She was very scared that Isaac might notice something.

Although Soren didn't look much like him, some details in his features did resemble him.

"She looks just like you," Isaac said suddenly, "No wonder you always made them wear masks. Once this face is revealed, anyone can tell she's your child."

Nora didn't know how to respond.

She pondered, 'But it seemed Isaac hadn't noticed that Soren also somewhat resembled him. Maybe it was because of preconceived notions.

He had already decided that Soren was her and Mortimer's child, so he wouldn't think to associate her with himself.'

Nora didn't explain, it was fine that as long as he didn't recognize Soren was his child. "Can you watch her for a bit? I need to make a call to check on Magnus."

"Got it." Isaac replied.

Nora left the room and dialed the bodyguard's number who was stationed outside her house.

The call connected quickly.

She immediately asked, "How are things over there?"

The bodyguard said, "Everything is normal."

Nora felt relieved, as long as Magnus was okay, that was all that mattered. She still didn't know how to communicate with Magnus, but knowing he was safe was enough.

She then instructed the bodyguard to keep an eye on Magnus and hung up.

When she returned to the room, she found Isaac lying next to Soren, with Soren nestled in his arms, a faint smile on her little face.

Nora was touched by this warm scene. Then Nora took a shower and lay down on the other side of Soren.

They encircled Soren in the middle, creating a warm picture.

Soren seemed to sense something and moved closer to Nora.

Nora, afraid she might touch her wound, immediately became nervous and wanted to stop her from moving.

But before she could reach out, Isaac had already placed his hand on her head.

"Mommy..." Soren suddenly mumbled, her eyes opening a sliver, looking half-awake.

Nora softly asked, "I'm here, what's wrong?"

Soren mumbled, "I don't want Magnus anymore. Mommy, you and Daddy should have another one."

Before Nora could respond, Soren tugged at Isaac's sleeve and whined, "Daddy, can you ask Mommy to have another one?"

Isaac glanced at Nora.

Nora awkwardly looked away, embarrassed to meet his gaze, her face a bit flushed.

Isaac chuckled softly, "That's not possible."

Soren pouted in disappointment. But she didn't stay disappointed for long before she drifted off to sleep again.

Nora, surrounded by the comforting atmosphere, also quickly fell asleep.

The next day, Nora took a leave of absence for Soren to get recovery before she could go back to school.

And Nora still didn't want to see Magnus. Every time she saw the wound on Soren's head, she felt a surge of anger and feared she wouldn't be able to control her temper if she saw Magnus. She thought it would be better to calm down for a while before seeing Magnus.

After all, Magnus wasn't very interested in interacting with her right now. And Magnus was safe with someone else watching over him.

Nora and Soren temporarily stayed at Isaac's house.

About a week later, Soren's head injury had healed.

There was also another piece of good news: After a period of treatment, the blood clot in Edmund's brain had disappeared, and he had woken up.

Nora and Isaac went to the hospital together to visit Edmund, which looked a bit weak after having been bedridden for more than half a month.

Seeing Edmund, Nora's nose tingled, and she rushed forward to hug him. "Grandpa, you're finally awake."

Edmund patted her back, his aged voice weak. "Don't cry. It's a good thing I woke up. You should be smiling, not crying."

Nora's tears fell immediately. "Grandpa, I'm sorry."

Edmund smiled. "What are you apologizing for? You didn't do anything wrong."

Nora choked up. "But I brought Magnus over, and he pushed you down."

Edmund sighed and said in a deep voice, "I don't blame him, but I feel like his personality has changed. I heard from Isaac that he also pushed Soren and hurt her?"

Nora let go of Edmund and nodded sadly. "Yes, it's true. I don't know what's wrong with Magnus. I don't know how to face him now. I'm really at a loss and can only avoid him."

Edmund patted her hand and comforted her, "You don't need to blame yourself. You're still a child yourself, it's normal not to know how to educate a child. Leave professional matters to professionals. I'll have Isaac contact some professional child educators to properly educate Magnus. He is still young. If we correct his behavior in time, he can still change. If we don't correct it now, it will be hard to correct when he grows up." His expression was somewhat serious.

Nora initially wanted to refuse, not wanting the kids to be too deeply involved with the Porter family.

But Magnus's situation couldn't be ignored. And she had no way to handle it herself. So, after thinking for a moment, she finally nodded. "Thank you."

Edmund smiled. "We're all family, no need to be so polite."

That night, Nora finally mustered the courage to go back and see Magnus.

Soren didn't want to go back and stayed with Isaac. She said, "I don't want to see Magnus unless he comes to apologize to me!"

Nora could only go back alone. She couldn't ask a victim to be magnanimous to forgive the perpetrator.

Magnus was in the wrong, and it was only right for him to apologize to Soren.

When Nora arrived at her house, she saw that the bodyguards were still stationed at the door. She then nodded to the bodyguards before going inside.

The house was a mess, with toys scattered all over the floor, many of them broken. There were also bloodstains on the floor.

Nora was shocked at it, as if the house had been ransacked.

The location of the bloodstains wasn't where Soren had been injured.

Could it be that Magnus was injured and bleeding?

Nora was very worried and quickly went to look for Magnus.

Magnus wasn't in the living room or the bedroom, he was in the guest room where he used to sleep with Mortimer.

"Magnus, are you okay?" Nora quickly walked to the bed, ready to check Magnus's condition.

But Magnus suddenly opened his eyes, and they were filled with hatred.
