Chapter 153 A Familiar Feeling

Isaac composed himself and walked towards the sofa. When he reached Magnus, he bent down and reached out to remove the mask from Magnus' face.

Magnus immediately pressed the mask with his hand. "Take off the mask, and I'll help you find your family," Isaac said patiently for once.

Magnus shook his head vigorously and stubbornly said, "No, Mommy won't let me take off the mask!"

Magnus thought, 'Mommy has said that no one could see my face, or I would be sent away. I don't want to leave. I want to stay with Mommy. So, I absolutely couldn't let anyone take off my mask!'

Isaac's hand paused for a moment, then he withdrew it, stood up straight, and continued to ask, "What are your parents' names? Do you have their phone numbers? I can help you contact them."

Magnus thought for a moment, then shook his head. "My dad is dead, while Mommy changes her phone number. I don't know her new number yet."

Isaac said, "Is your mom so irresponsible? She changed her number, but doesn't she tell you? Isn't she good to you?"

Magnus hesitated for a moment, then shook his head. "Mommy is very good to me. She just won't let me live with her."

'Not letting him live with her isn't good for him?' Isaac thought.

Isaac turned a bit sour, and a strange anger welled up in his heart.

He didn't know why he felt so much empathy for a stranger's child.

Isaac composed himself and said to Wesley, "Call the police. Let them handle this and explain his situation. Let the police investigate whether his mother is qualified. If his mother isn't good to him, help him find another family to adopt him."

Because of that slight feeling of kinship, he unusually wanted to help this child solve his family issues.

"Mommy is very good to me!" Magnus said unhappily, "You're a bad guy trying to separate me from Mommy!"

Isaac said with a faint smile, "You said it yourself. She changed her number and didn't tell you. She doesn't want you to live with her. Is that being good to you?"

Magnus was down instantly.

But he still stubbornly said, "Mommy has her reasons. Anyway, you can't say bad things about her to the police!"

"Whatever," Isaac didn't argue further and said to Wesley, "Just call the police and let them help him find his family. We don't need to worry about the rest."

"Alright, I'll call the police now," Wesley nodded. He took his phone and walked to the side to make the call.

Isaac didn't plan to continue dealing with this matter. He turned to go upstairs.

But Magnus suddenly jumped off the sofa, ran behind him, and grabbed his pant leg.

Isaac stopped and looked back at him, "What?"

"Sir, I'm scared. Can you stay with me?" Magnus asked nervously.

Isaac raised an eyebrow. "Aren't you afraid of me?" He knew many people were afraid of him, especially children.

Even his relatives' children would cry loudly at the sight of him, even if he did nothing.

This child didn't cry and even dared to approach him, quite brave.

"You don't look like a bad person, and I feel we have a connection." Magnus looked at his face, which was similar to his own, and said seriously.

Isaac was amused. "You're the first child to say I don't look like a bad person."

As for the latter part, Isaac just took it as flattery and didn't take it seriously.

Magnus blinked his innocent eyes.

Seeing his appearance, Isaac seemed to soften instantly.

But in the end, Isaac still refused. "I have things to do, and I have no time to stay with you. Wait in the living room. The police will come soon and take you to find your mommy."

Magnus bit his lip, tears welling up in his eyes.

Isaacclenched his heart, feeling a bit of reluctance."Don't cry. Boys shouldn't cry so easily," Isaac scolded. At his shout, Magnus' tears instantly flowed.

"I'm still a child. Mommy said children can cry whenever they want," he said while crying.

Isaac had a headache.

Seeing Magnus crying so pitifully, his mood became very irritable. He even felt a bit of heartache.

It was ridiculous that he would feel heartache for a stranger's child.

Isaac sighed helplessly. "Alright, you can come with me, but you can't make trouble or disturb my work."Magnus lit up his eyes, nodding vigorously. "I won't bother you!"

He smiled happily at Isaac.

Seeing his smile, Isaac felt a warmth in his heart.

"Sir, my legs are weak. Can you carry me?" Magnus said weakly.

He was so scared that his legs felt weak, which was a bit embarrassing.

Without a word, Isaac squatted down and picked him up.

Magnus wrapped his arms around Isaac's neck, his small body obediently lying in his arms.

Isaac's embrace was different from Mommy's which was soft and warm, while his embrace was firm with a sense of security. He seemed to like this sir.

Magnus didn't know why.

Even though it was the first time meeting this sir, Magnus felt a strange affection for him.

Isaac took Magnus upstairs, and Nora arrived shortly after.

Although she hadn't informed Isaac in advance, the bodyguards still allowed her into the villa.

When Nora walked into the living room, she saw Wesley still there.

"Mrs. Foster, why are you here? No, this is your and Mr. Porter's marital home. You can come back anytime! I'll go upstairs to the study to inform Mr. Porter!" Wesley said, both surprised and delighted.

Nora quickly stopped him, saying, "Don't go inform him yet. I'll find him myself!"

Wesley stopped.

Nora waited to go upstairs but decided to probe Wesley first.

"Is Isaac alone upstairs?" Nora asked,"No," Wesley replied guilelessly, "There's a child with him."

Nora's heart skipped a beat, then started pounding. She felt anxious, and her hands began to tremble uncontrollably.

Isaac had found Magnus and taken him to the study.

'Could it be that Isaac has discovered something? Otherwise, why would Isaac, who hates children, be willing to be alone with Magnus?' Nora thought and was scared.

"What child? How could he be with a child?" Nora pretended not to know and asked.

Wesley said, "I don't know how that kid got in the car. I only discover him when we get home. The child said he is scared to be alone and insists on following Mr. Porter. Mr. Porter has no choice but to take him upstairs. But I've already called the police. When they arrive, we'll hand him over to them, and they'll help him find his parents."

Nora asked, "Doesn't Isaac hate children? Why would he let the child follow him? Is there something special about the child?"

Wesley thought for a moment and said, "I don't think there's anything special. I don't know why Mr. Porter doesn't hate him."

Nora couldn't get any useful information and decided to go upstairs herself.

Feeling anxious, Nora reached the study door and nervously knocked.
