Chapter 313 Nora Suspects Magnus Was Switched

Magnus raised his hand and gently touched the wound on Nora's face. His eyes were somewhat dim. It seemed like he had caused trouble.

He thought, 'Who would like a child like him? Nora was so patient in comforting him, not getting angry even when he scratched her, insisting on sleeping with him and telling him bedtime stories. All her gentleness was because she thought he was Magnus. If she knew he wasn't Magnus, she would definitely hate him and wouldn't be so nice to him. She might even kick him out immediately.'

A flash of anger appeared in his eyes, and he withdrew his hand, turning his back to her in a huff.

He hated Nora, Isaac, Soren... And he hated Magnus the most. He hated everyone!

In this world, only Mortimer was a good person!

He had to help Mortimer, destroy the relationship between Nora and Isaac, who abandoned him and didn't deserve happiness.

Pushing Edmund down didn't cause any conflict between them, so he had to come up with another plan to separate them quickly.

The next day, Nora planned to take Magnus out for some fresh air.

But Magnus refused to go out. No matter how she tried to entice him, he wouldn't leave and continued assembling that toy gun.

Nora felt that Magnus seemed to have some obsessive behavior and didn't look normal at all.

She took a puzzle and sat down next to him, taking away the gun and pushing the puzzle in front of him.

"How about we play with something else?" She said with a gentle smile.

Magnus looked very unhappy. But seeing Nora's gentle smile, the anger in his heart dissipated.

He then started playing with the puzzle silently. But he had never played it before and was making a mess of it.

Nora patiently helped him piece it together.

By noon, when Nora was about to call the bodyguard to order lunch, Magnus stubbornly said, "I want to eat the food you cook!"

Nora was a bit surprised. "Didn't you say my cooking wasn't good?"

Magnus huffed, "If you don't want to cook, then forget it!"

Nora laughed, patting his little head. "Since you want to eat it, I'll cook for you. But after I finish, you have to praise me and give me a kiss. Otherwise, I'll be very hurt if you complain about it."

Magnus looked awkward.

But Nora didn't wait for his refusal and went into the kitchen.

Since it was just the two of them, she made a simple meal. She then brought the food to the table and told Magnus to wash his hands for lunch.

After washing his hands, Magnus walked to the table and awkwardly said, "You need to squat down, or I can't kiss you."

Nora smiled, and she squatted down in front of him.

Magnus gave her a peck on the cheek and whispered, "Thank you, Mommy. Mommy's cooking is delicious."

Nora hugged him and gave him a big kiss in return.

"No need to be insincere, I know my cooking isn't great." Nora laughed. "Hurry up and eat. After lunch, I'll take you out to play."

Magnus refused, "I don't want to go out and leave the house." He had spent most of his time at home before and had developed a habit of staying indoors.

Nora said, "I need to go out, but it's not safe for me to go alone. You're a man and need to protect me, so you have to come with me!"

Magnus was silent. He was still a child and how could he protect an adult?

But Nora seemed to ignore his reluctance and made the decision herself.

Magnus sulkily lowered his head and ate.

After lunch, Nora immediately took Magnus out. She then took him to an amusement park, where they rode roller coasters, carousels, and even went into a haunted house. They tried all the attractions in the amusement park.

At first, Magnus was very resistant, but eventually, he was completely captivated by the exciting activities.

At that moment, he seemed to let go of his resentment and genuinely smiled with happiness.

It wasn't until nightfall that Nora took Magnus away from the amusement park.

Too tired to cook, she took Magnus out for dinner before heading home.

After getting home, Magnus fell asleep immediately after his bath, not needing any coaxing.

Nora sat by the bed, looking at Magnus with deep eyes. She reached out and pinch his face, trying to find any signs of a human skin mask. After a long pinching, she found nothing unusual.

But she remembered back then Isaac had tricked her with a fake mask, she had pinched his face hard, and the skin had turned red from her force, making her believe it was real.

She thought, 'Could it be that the material on Magnus's face was the same as what Isaac used to deceive her, which is why she couldn't detect anything unusual? He can't be Magnus. He must be fake. Magnus has been to the amusement park many times and is familiar with all the attractions, but he seemed unfamiliar with everything there. His personality has changed so much.'

Nora looked at Magnus on the bed silently.

After her last test, she hadn't doubted that Magnus might be an imposter. But this time, the suspicion was very deep.

Before leaving the amusement park, she had almost confirmed that this Magnus was not her Magnus.

Then she took him through all the attractions in the park to verify her suspicions.

Afterward, she even took him to a restaurant where she had eaten with Magnus before and ordered pasta that Magnus didn't like, and he ate it all.

No matter how much a person changes, they can't change so completely.

The only possibility was that he had been swapped! That's why he seemed so unfamiliar and so bad.

Nora calmed herself, took a deep breath to suppress her emotions, and looked deeply at the person on the bed.
