Chapter 356 Everyone Is Avoiding Her, Afraid to Face Her
Nora actually had a suspicion.
But she didn't dare to think about it in detail, nor did she want to admit her suspicion.
Sophia held Nora's hand and said seriously, "Nora, no matter what happens, you still have me. Although I can't help much, I will always stand by your side!"
Nora nodded, but her face was still full of panic and anxiety.
She no longer had the mind to accompany Sophia for her prenatal checkup.
She urgently wanted to know what had happened to Soren.
"Sophia, I'm sorry, but I can't accompany you into the hospital. I have an urgent matter to deal with."
Sophia said, "It's okay, you go ahead. I can manage on my own. Don't worry about me. If anything happens to you, make sure to tell me, and I'll be there for you immediately."

"Good afternoon, Mrs. Porter. Are you here to see Mr. Porter? Mr. Porter is not in the office."
Nora still opened the door to the CEO's office.

The secretary shook her head, "We don't know Mr. Porter's whereabouts. Only Wesley knows Mr. Porter's whereabouts."
"But Mr. Porter hasn't been to the office for more than half a month. Usually, Wesley takes important documents to him for signing and then brings them back to the office."
Nora immediately took out her phone and called Wesley.
After a while, Wesley answered the phone.
"Mrs. Porter, what can I do for you?" Wesley's respectful voice came from the phone.
Nora asked, "Are you with Isaac?"
Wesley paused for a moment, then said, "I'm not with Mr. Porter."
"If you want to find Mr. Porter, you can call his cell phone directly."
Nora said, "I've been calling him, but he either didn't answer or just said a few perfunctory words and hung up. I want to know what he's busy with."
Wesley said awkwardly, "If you don't know what Mr. Porter is busy with, then as a mere assistant, I certainly wouldn't know."
Nora sneered, "You deliver documents to him every day for signing, and you don't know where he is or what he's busy with?"
Wesley was silent and didn't speak.
Nora took a deep breath and said, "I just ran into Edmund at the hospital."
"Isaac has been lying to me, saying that Grandpa took Soren abroad for a trip. But now I ran into Grandpa at the hospital. What are you all hiding from me?"
Wesley, feeling guilty, said, "I'm sorry, Mrs. Porter, I don't know either. You should contact Mr. Porter or ask Mr. Edmund Porter."
"Sorry, Mrs. Porter, I have something urgent to attend to. I have to go now."
With that, Wesley hurriedly hung up the phone.
Nora's face turned pale with anger, and she gripped her phone tightly.
Her icy demeanor made the secretaries in the CEO's office sit up straight, not daring to breathe loudly.
Nora walked into the CEO's office with a stern face.
From now on, she would wait here.
Wesley had to come every day to pick up documents for Isaac to sign. She didn't believe she couldn't catch him!
She sat in the office, trying to contact Isaac on her phone.

She slammed her phone on the desk, her eyes turning red, and her heart aching.
She should have noticed something earlier.
The night Soren went missing, Isaac had acted strangely, asking her some odd questions.

She asked the secretaries in the CEO's office, and they said the documents that needed signing today had not been picked up yet. Wesley usually came to pick up the documents before the end of the workday.
But today, Wesley hadn't come.

The secretary advised her, "Mrs. Porter, the office is about to close. You should go home and come back tomorrow."
Nora stood up, walked out of the office, and entered the elevator to the parking garage.
