Chapter 135 Expose Isaac

"Din't he take off his clothes? How are you sure he's injured?" Mortimer asked suspiciously.

Kalista said, "I deliberately spilled soup on him. When I helped him wipe it off, I intentionally patted his left arm hard. I saw blood oozing out and hear him groan in pain."

Kalista bit her lip and asked cautiously, "Mr. Radcliffe, aren't you planning to harm Isaac? If you do, no matter how you threaten me, I won't help you harm him. I'd rather ruin my own reputation than hurt him!"

Mortimer sneered. "I can't believe you still have feelings for him."

Kalista remained silent.

Mortimer said, "Rest assured. Isaac is my friend. I won't harm him. My goal has always been to separate him and Nora."

Kalista breathed a sigh of relief.

As long as it was not about harming Isaac, she felt no guilt.

It seemed that her and Mortimer's goals aligned.

At Radcliffe Group.

After ending the call, Mortimer walked to the huge French window, gazing at the Porter Group building in the distance. The warmth in his eyes gradually faded, replaced by a layer of frost.

"Isaac, you're quite something. You divorced Nora and even fabricated a false identity to date her. If Nora finds out you're deceiving her and playing with her, how do you think she'll react?" Mortimer suddenly chuckled.

Knowing Nora's personality, he was she would feel played and trampled upon by Isaac. She would definitely hate him.

Mortimer smirked. "It's time for Nora to know the truth."

Mortimer took out his phone and found a photo he had secretly taken of Steve from his album.

He covered Steve's head.

The body looked exactly like Isaac's.

"No wonder they look so alike. Turns out they're the same person," Mortimer muttered.

That evening, Mortimer sent a message to both Nora and Isaac, inviting them out separately.

He messaged Isaac: [Do you want to know the truth from four years ago? Come out tonight at eight.]

He texted Nora: [Heard Edmund is sick because of recent issues at Porter Group. Let's meet tonight at eight to discuss how to help them clear things up. Although I want Isaac to learn a lesson, I can't bear to see Edmund troubled at his age.]

Mortimer pinpointed Isaac and Nora's weaknesses accurately.

Isaac harbored grudges from four years ago, while Nora couldn't rest easy about Edmund.

Mortimer was certain they would both show up tonight.

At eight o'clock, Isaac and Nora appeared promptly at the hotel where Mortimer had asked to meet.

When they met while waiting for the elevator, both were taken aback.

"Why are you here?" Isaac asked first.

Nora replied softly, "I got an appointment."

Isaac furrowed. "With Mortimer?"

Nora nodded. "Yes."

In the past, she would have been afraid of Isaac's anger, not daring to tell the truth.

But now, she hoped Isaac would give up on her. So, she didn't hide anything.

Surprisingly, Isaac didn't get angry at Nora for coming to the hotel so late.

He lowered his eyelids, lost in thought. 'Mortimer invited me and Nora. Is he really planning to reveal the truth from four years ago?'

Both entered the elevator with their own thoughts.

When the elevator stopped on the eighth floor, Nora went straight to the private room while Isaac headed to the restroom.

Nora found the reserved room as per Mortimer's instructions.

When walking in, she found Mortimer was already inside.

"Nora, you are you. Come to sit," Mortimer smiled and got up to greet her.

Nora sat down and asked, "How do you want me to help the Porter family clear things up?"

Mortimer poured her a glass of water and said gently, "Let's not rush into that. I've invited someone else. We'll talk later."

Nora furrowed and thought, 'Who else has Mortimer invited?'

She thought of Isaac, whom she had encountered in the elevator. But it seemed unlikely.

Isaac hated Mortimer so much that even if Mortimer invited him, Isaac wouldn't show up.

Isaac's presence here was probably just a coincidence.

Nora and Mortimer chatted while waiting.

After about fifteen minutes, the door to the room was pushed open from outside.

A tall figure stepped into the room gracefully.

Nora looked at the handsome man in astonishment.

The last person she expected to see was here.

"Is him the other person you invited?" Nora turned to Mortimer.

Mortimer nodded with a smile. "Yes."

Nora frowned more tightly.

She could understand Mortimer inviting Isaac, considering they had been friends.

But why would Isaac accept the invitation?

Because of the recent events at Porter Group?

Nora found it unlikely.

Given Isaac's character, even if Porter Group went bankrupt, he wouldn't accept help from Mortimer.

Even if she didn't step in to clarify, Isaac had the capability to overcome this challenge.

It was just a matter of time and losses.

Even if there were significant losses, with Isaac's business acumen, he could recover the losses in the future.

"You din't tell me you had also invited her," Isaac spoke slowly, his voice tinged with sarcasm.

Mortimer chuckled. "My bad, I forgot to inform you both. It's still early for dinner. Let's all sit down and chat while we eat."

Isaac let out a soft grunt and took a seat farthest from them.

Neither Isaac nor Nora touched their food.

Mortimer looked at Nora and asked with a smile, "Nora, have you noticed how much your new boyfriend looks like Isaac? If you cover their heads and just look at their bodies, they're practically identical. Even if Edmund and Katie came to identify, they probably wouldn't be able to tell, right?"

Nora remained silent. She knew they looked alike and that was why she had initially dated Steve.

But Nora couldn't admit it openly.

She pretended, "Really? I don't see it."

Mortimer said, "Maybe it's because I grew up with Isaac and know him longer, and understand him better. So, I can see it."

Nora stayed quiet.

Mortimer continued, "Not only do they look alike physically, but even their expressions sometimes match."

Nora took a sip of water, hiding her inner turmoil.

Did Mortimer invite her today to expose her in front of Isaac to let Isaac know she had found a replacement for him and to embarrass her?

"Nora, do you think they look so alike because they're the same person?" Mortimer asked straightforwardly.

Nora immediately denied it, "They're not the same person because they've been seen together before."

Mortimer looked surprised, took out his phone, and said puzzledly, "Then what's this about?"

Nora looked at the screen and saw surveillance footage.

In the video, Wesley, who was Isaac's most trusted assistant, was seen driving Steve's car away from the roadside!

She remembered Isaac and Steve didn't get along. How could Isaac's assistant help Steve drive?

Nora looked up abruptly at Isaac, her voice trembling, "What's going on?"

Before Isaac could respond, Mortimer asked, "Wesley only works for you and wouldn't help others unless it's you."

Nora paled and clenched her fists tightly. A sense of humiliation and being played surged within her.

"Isaac, is Nora's new boyfriend your disguise?" Mortimer asked bluntly.

Nora stared at him intensely.

Isaac's face turned as cold as ice, a sullen expression enveloping him.

He denied coldly, "No."

Mortimer continued, "Then how do you explain this surveillance video?"

Isaac pressed his lips, his expression growing gloomier, unsure how to explain.

Mortimer smirked. "Proving it is simple. Yesterday, Nora's boyfriend injured his left arm. Just take off your clothes and see if there's an injury on your left arm. That will prove whether you're the same person or not."
