Chapter 330 Half-heartedly Succumbing
Nora painfully opened her eyes.
In the darkness, she met a pair of cold eyes.
Her heart trembled violently. And the chill in those eyes seemed capable of freezing her.
Then the fear in her eyes flashed briefly, and she quickly recognized that the person pressing down on her was Isaac.
She reached out to grab his wrist, but could only make single-syllable sounds.
Isaac released his grip but remained on top of her, his hands propped on either side of her.
Nora gasped for air. And the oxygen re-entered her chest, the feeling of suffocation dissipated, and her mind became completely clear.
Nora asked hoarsely, "Isaac, what's wrong with you? Why are you choking me?"
Isaac looked at her with dark, brooding eyes. "Why Mortimer? Why can we never get rid of him in our lives?" His voice was deep, sounding both angry and pained.
Listening to his voice, Nora felt a heaviness in her chest.
As he spoke, a strong smell of alcohol emanated from his mouth, which made Nora dizzy.
How much had he drunk? How could there be such a strong smell of alcohol?
Just smelling the alcohol on him made her feel drunk, how could he not feel uncomfortable?
"Why is Mortimer so haunting? Will we never be able to get rid of him?" He continued to speak in a low voice, each word filled with pain.
Nora reached out to hug him, gently patting his back as if soothing a child. "There's no Mortimer between us. He’s just an ordinary friend. I've only ever loved you, certainly not Mortimer."
Perhaps because he was drunk and she thought he would forget everything the next day, she boldly expressed her feelings to him.
Isaac buried his face in her chest, his warm breath on her delicate skin. "Can I make him disappear?"
Nora's body trembled, a sense of fear rising in her heart.
Did he want to kill Mortimer?
"No, killing is illegal. Isaac, calm down, don't hurt Mortimer!" Nora said urgently.
Mortimer had been kind to her and Isaac too. Moreover, he had been incredibly nice to the children.
Although Isaac didn't know, Mortimer's contributions to their family of four couldn't be ignored. So she couldn't let Isaac act ungratefully.
"Isaac, please stop overthinking. I really don't like Mortimer and I only like you. Don't do anything foolish. He has been kind to us, we can't repay kindness with ingratitude. If you don't like me involved with him, I'll try to reduce contact with him in the future."
Isaac's aura was cold, a dangerous vibe enveloping him.
Nora softened her voice, her lips close to his ear, gently coaxing, "Isaac, I only love you. Don't always get angry, which makes me sad."
Isaac's body stiffened.
It was unclear which of her words hit his excitement point.
He suddenly kissed her fiercely, as if he wanted to devour her.
Nora didn't expect that he would kiss her so passionately the next second after being angry.
The kiss was so intense that her lips hurt. And she could taste blood.
The taste of blood seemed to excite him even more.
Her nightgown was torn to shreds. And the kisses spread to every inch of her body.
"Isaac, don't do this." Nora trembled with fear.
But her soft protests couldn't stop his frenzied advances.
The room was filled with an atmosphere of intimacy, the sounds of passion breaking through the darkness.
A man who had been abstinent for months had an astonishing burst of energy.
Nora was tossed and turned, feeling as if her bones were about to be shattered. "Isaac, that's enough. Honey, I can't take it anymore..."
Her calling him 'honey' only added fuel to the fire, making his advances even more intense.
Nora wept softly, tears of pain and pleasure mingling and flowing from the corners of her eyes.
Isaac gently kissed away her tears but didn't stop his actions.
It wasn't until dawn that the room finally quieted down.
Nora closed her eyes in exhaustion and fell asleep within seconds. When she woke up again, it was already broad daylight.
She opened her eyes, still feeling a bit dazed.
How did they end up having sex last night?
She had only intended to comfort Isaac, so how did it escalate to that?
And she had almost been choked to death by him just a moment before!
She could have refused, and she should have refused!
It must have been the alcohol on him that clouded her mind, leading her to give in.
Nora turned her head to look around, but Isaac was no longer in bed. And she felt a bit disappointed.
She then propped herself up, feeling a wave of soreness in her bones, and gasped in pain.
"If you're uncomfortable, just lie down and rest. I'll have someone bring food up later." Isaac's magnetic voice suddenly came.
Nora's body stiffened at Isaac's voice.
He hadn't left the room?
Nora mechanically turned towards the sound and saw Isaac lazily walking out of the bathroom, wrapped in a towel.
She saw many bite marks and scratches on his chest, arms, and shoulders, even on his face.
Nora's face instantly turned red, and she felt a bit guilty for what had she done to him last night.
Although she had been somewhat reluctant, she hadn't resisted much.
She swore, in her memory, she had only resisted a little!
But the marks on Isaac's body clearly weren't from just a little resistance.
Isaac noticed her gaze, looked down at his body, and said with a half-smile, "You need to trim your nails."
Nora's face turned even redder. She lowered her head, wishing she could bury her face in her chest.
She could have blamed Isaac. But seeing the marks on his body, she then felt that she couldn't blame him.
"I didn't mean to," she said softly.
Isaac raised an eyebrow but didn't respond.
Nora bit her lip and said, "Do you want to apply some ointment? You might get rabies."
